We spent two nights in Bangkok. The hotel is within a 10-minute walk of Khaosan Road. The location is quieter than Khaosan Road and offers numerous amenities such as cute cafes, bars, and galleries within a 10-15 minute walk. The hotel's modern decor mixed with Thai vintage added character, and the use of foliage, colors, and ambient lighting created a peaceful atmosphere in the bustling city. We enjoyed the pool after a hot day, and it wasn't too crowded in late April. Our room was on an upper floor and had a private balcony overlooking the garden and pool. The duvet-covered beds were comfortable, and the bathroom and bedroom were a sufficient size and clean, with a decent wardrobe space. We appreciated the powerful hot water rainshower and mini-fridge for cold drinks. The hotel provided Nescafé instant coffee, a kettle, and two small bottles of drinking water per day. The Wi-Fi and quiet AC worked well, and daily housekeeping was available upon request between 2-4 pm.

there were a couple of small improvements that could be made. It would be beneficial for the AC extractor vent to blow hot air away from the balcony to avoid it getting too hot. Additionally, the self-service washing machine, while convenient, was a bit expensive, and guests had to provide their own laundry soap. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the discount vouchers for the cafe downstairs, which served great cold brew iced coffee. The hotel also allowed us to leave the key deposit in our own currency.

This was our 3rd time staying, each time has been better than the last in our transits through Bangkok. We are drawn to their mix of Thai antique design with modern comforts. This time we were upgraded to a spacious family room with mini balcony overlooking the river. Despite only having a narrow standing-only balcony, we were pleasantly amused by a couple of large Asian Water monitor lizards living in the tree outside our balcony, which we enjoyed observing from the balcony or the Patio door window, on the comfortable Thai triangle cushions sipping cold brew coffee from their cafe downstairs. They gave us discount vouchers to use in the cafe which we applied towards our morning coffee. The cafe opens at 8am, so for an early checkout there is also Nescafé instant coffee available. The room is clean and spacious, with daily housekeeping and water bottle top up on request. We also liked the ambient warm lighting & decent wardrobe space. Wi-Fi and aircon work well- it was great there was a strong ceiling fan in both the bedroom and the bathroom. We loved the roll-top bathtub feature in the bathroom, and the variety of linens provided (face cloths, hand towel, bath towel, and pool towel on request). good quality shampoo, conditioner and soap was provided. The pool was often very busy, despite approaching low season in Thailand, but it is kept clean & refreshing for a dip during the hot days. The garden grounds are very pretty and well maintained, and there is coin laundry if needed for 60 baht for a wash and 80 for drying. The hotel is near Khaosan road, about 10 minutes walk. There are a couple very good local family-run Thai restaurants nearby and conveniently a 7-eleven is just around the corner.

A couple minor improvements - We would have liked one more plug point next to the bed, and there can be noise heard from the bedroom depending on the respect of the neighbouring guests. otherwise we were very happy with the room and our stay!

The hotel itself has a very calm vibe. Located around 10 mins. walk from the busy Khao san road, the area is quiet, which gives you the opportunity to still relax after testing your limits in Bangkok's backpacker's haven (Khao san). It has a beautiful garden and an open-air relaxing pool. Rooms are facing the pool. I was even upgraded to a higher floor with balcony! The view from the balcony is perfection. The room has a rustic design and the bed was so comfy. The staff were very friendly as well. Although it does not offer breakfast buffet, they offer ala carte items in their cozy café downstairs, you get a big discount as well, as a hotel guest. The location was great, walking distance to lots of attractions and restaurants. Comfortable bed and excellent shower. I didn't have time to use the pool but the area looked beautiful. The front desk staff were also very helpful with printing some documents for me as well.

The room I stayed in (206) was directly opposite the elevator and the walls were quite thin so I heard a lot of late night noise from outside as well as the room next door. Also, the lights were strangely set up so it was quite dark in the room. It would also be good to be told that you have to pay a cash let deposit when you arrive. I wasn't aware and didn't have enough cash with me so had to delay check in. However, I would definitely stay again but ask specifically to not have a room near the elevator.

We stayed 2 nights transiting through Bangkok. The hotel is about 10 min walking distance to khaosan road. It’s a slightly quieter road with many amenities nearby, cute cafes, bars and galleries within 10-15 min walk. The decor is modern mixed with Thai vintage, adding character. The duvet covered beds are comfortable, and decent toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel , hand soap bar). Our Room was on an upper floor with private balcony. Bedroom and bathroom are spacious and clean, with a decent size wardrobe. We also had a wonderfully powerful hot water rainshower. Loved the balcony overlooking garden and pool, and comfortable vintage wooden chair and table. The mini fridge was useful for keeping our drinks cold, and we appreciated the Nescafé instant coffee and kettle to make a coffee for an early checkout . They also provided free travel size alcohol hand spray. 2 small bottles of drinking water per day were supplied in the room. The self service washing machine (provide your own laundry soap) was convenient (30 thb per load, takes 30 min). There is also a dryer for a separate fee which we didn’t need to use. At checkin the hotel supplied discount vouchers for the cafe downstairs which has great cold brew iced coffee. The Wi-Fi and quiet AC worked well. Daily housekeeping provided on request (between 2-4 pm).

Also we had to pay 1000 baht cash key deposit on arrival , which we got back at checkout. It was in fine print on our booking confirmation but not obvious. Would have been better to have it also emailed as part of confirmation or welcome message, and option to pay by card instead , as we didn’t want to have to be left with baht when leaving Thailand. When AC is on, it’s too hot to sit on the beautiful balcony. The wardrobe light was constantly on as the switch was broken & wardrobe has no door (covered by a curtain) so we couldn’t get the room dark to sleep better (I had my own eye mask to help).

Stayed 3 nights, enjoyed the lovely garden and pool in the heat of the day, Walking distance to ko san rd, the golden mount, canals and street food. All in all a great location, friendly staff kept this place clean, secure and were very helpful, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, the coffee was good, a lovely retreat

Everything was great. Staff was friendly. Nice big family room with balcony on street side (better than on the pictures). Big shower. Airco did not make too much noise. Beautiful garden area with good size pool. Clean. Very good location. I would definitie stay here again.

This hotel is such a gem! The garden view room is worth the extra cost as it looks over the pool and is a little quieter. The staff were so kind and helpful throughout our stay - especially when we realised we messed up our booking and needed to quickly book another one. They moved our bags for us whilst we were out for the day so it was all sorted when we got back. The location is perfect - nice a quiet area but close enough to get to the busier locations like Khaosan Road and the temples.

The standard room on the lower floor seemed a little damp being so close to the canal and pool area and had more noise - however still a great stay for low cost and a couple of nights

We really liked our stay in this amazing oasis in the old town of huge city. Especially the pool area and garden are just brilliant. Nice room, good shower. More expensive, but very tasty breakfast and drinks. Cute cats walking around in the garden area. The location is just great and central - old town of Bangkok. You can feel the city authenticity there. Neighbourhood felt safe. Walking distance to Khaosan road, The Golden Mount Temple (one of the favorite ones!). Short tuk tuk ride to The Grand Palace. Friendly and helpful staff. Would come back there when in Bangkok

Nothing significant

This is a lovely little hotel in the historic part of Bangkok. The pool area and seating area are perfect to spend the early evening after a long day visiting the sights. The hotel staff also let you bring drinks from seven eleven to enjoy by the pool and the greenery surround the area is beautiful. The hotel also has lovely older style decoration which sets the scene perfectly. The rooms are large, basic but do the job well. We stayed in a room over looking the pool and I would recommend this. The staff on reception are great and help you out every way that they can. They also offer towels for the pool in reception. It is about a 15 minutes walk down to the Khao San road, but we preferred the parallel road Ram Buttri, as Khao San has gone a little crazy since I was last there :) We also walked to the Grand palace, which took about 25-30 minutes. We travelled with our 3 year old and the swimming pool was perfect for us.

It's a shame that this hotel does not offer breakfast included, as this would be far more convenient. However, there is a seven-eleven about 50 metres away. Also , the showers do not contain the water and so the bathroom often floods. These are not major issues but I think they can easily be solved by the hotel management.
