The art deco is really cool. They have different art pieces at different spaces. Being next to the river gives it the peace and quiet away from the main roads and tourist hotspots. The room was really spacious with a balcony. The staff were friendly and quick to respond to issues and requests. If you are here to get away from it all, this would be perfect but if you want to be in the thick of things, then you'll need to get a place in the old town or Nimman.

The location, though great for being away from the hustle and bustle can be a bit isolated which means the grab taxi will take a while to arrive so be prepared to wait 20 minutes. There are some local convenience shops and perhaps one or two little cafes within walking distance so if you are looking for a 7-eleven you'll need to walk out to the main road. We only needed the convenience shop to get water but the rest of the time we mostly take a grab down to the old town or Nimman or have a friend pick us up anyway and spend most of the day out of the hotel. Another thing that we struggled with was the bed. Most people would be quite happy with the soft bed but we prefer a bed that is more firm for a better sleep.

This exceptional place, is an all at once refuge for artists, a haven for nature lovers, a retreat for travelers. The staff is particularly caring and helpful, I think you can just about ask anything. The rooms are spacious and overlook a luxurious garden in which the tropical trees mingle with the sculptures. Inside feels like a modern art gallery, every corner is a discovery. The rooftop pool is filtered with salt and offers a gentle relief after a long day visiting the beautiful Chiang Mai area. An absolute must see.

We loved everything, we enjoyed the feeling of total disconnection and quiet nights by the river, away from the effervescent city life.

The hotel manager was very helpful and friendly. He organised 2 day trips for me at very short notice and couldn't have been nicer. At the end of each day, he enquired about my trip and seemed genuinely delighted that I'd enjoyed myself. He made me feel like a valued customer. If you are looking for a "base" to explore chiang mai from and aren't interested in swimming, spa, gym etc. then River Art Hotel is a great choice. Great value for money for what I needed.

The swimming pool is very small but I wasn't there to swim so it didn't impact my stay at all. There were no English channels on the TV.

1. When I arrived at the hotel on the first day, I was not very satisfied, and there was a gap between the feeling and expectations. 2. The staff service is very good, the breakfast is also good, it would be better if there is a different breakfast every day. 3. After checking in, I found that the green environment of the hotel is very good. There is a small courtyard on the first floor, surrounded by green vegetation. The hotel was very quiet, as if it was just me and my wife. 4. An extra 500 baht was added for a room with a balcony. I can bask in the sun on the balcony, read a book, drink some beer, and let go of myself, which is very comfortable. This is what I am most satisfied with. 5. A few days before I was about to leave, I suddenly found that the artwork on the wall was quite interesting. I found that I got used to this hotel. 6. I stayed in the hotel for 2 days and finished my PPT, very happy. This hotel is suitable for quiet work. Ha ha

After reading the introduction of BOOKING, there are 2 swimming pools. After arriving, I found that the swimming pool was not open, which was a little disappointing.

I came with 3 children, we were treated so nicely, the staff was very kind. We had lovely breakfast and the little pool was clean.

The hotel is located in a street with no pavement, we needed taxis all the time.

The hotel is like a art gallery, if you enjoy arts, then it will suit you well. It's a nice and clean hotel, but with balcony side where able to see river view should be better and which I didn't book that! Sad.. Breakfast is 100BTh for a person. Which is good for solo traveller, you can book car with driver to Pai and Chiang Rai.

Location is a bit far from old town and city centre. If took grab taxi will be 180BTH to downtown and also 200 BTH from airport to hotel. And when u arrived airport, you only need to get the taxi from airport.

Clean room with very comfortable bed. Small yet refreshing pool. Pretty garden next to the river although no river view from our rooms due to the foliage and being set back from the river

Not too much around within walking distance.
