The accommodation was nicely in the city so we were pleased with the accessibility to nearby places for food and coffee shops. The room itself was also very nice and clean and the beds comfy as well. The staff was nice though a bit short-spoken. We also liked that we were able to rent a motorbike at our accommodation as well making commuting in Chiang Rai fun and easy. They were also able to provide us with free water during our stay and had simple options for breakfast the next morning (also free of charge).

This did not effect us, but the check in counter closes around 5pm. I think there is a form of self check-in if no one is there so should be no problem.

The place was very clean - we had to take off our shoes before going upstairs, which was good. The staff was very friendly and nice.

The location is fine during the day, but feels sketchy at night, we didn’t feel like going for a walk in the evening around there, but just grabbed something to eat from the nearby local market and went back to the hotel. We saw a rat on the street and quite a few big cockroaches on the sidewalk.

The people here are so nice. I arrived after check-in time due to unforeseen traveling problems, but the owner waited for me to arrive. The rooms are really clean, I had a shared “dorm” with 1 other person. At night the room is very dark and quiet, so I could have a good night of sleep. Very needed after a long time of traveling! I wanted to rent a bicycle during the day and the owner helped me so much with it. He even walked me to the bikeshop and helped me renting it. He was really nice to explain the best and most beautiful routes to my destinations, which without him I would never have found. The accommodation is a 8 min walk to walking street, so you’re out of the busy streets but still close to everything you need. 10/10 would recommend for everyone traveling alone or with friends because you can share the 2 person dorm. Overall had a great experience thanks to the owners!

I only stayed one night here, but had a great time. The room was clean and had what I needed (AC/comfy bed/coat rack). The design was also super nice. Location and staff were awesome as well.

The shared bathrooms weren't the cleanest, but they weren't super dirty either. Note that the check-in closes at 5pm - they have self check-in if necessary, but it's better to make it there before 5pm.

Great hostel within walking distance to Chiang Rai bus station. The room, the toilets and the common areas (including the roof top) were very clean. I got upgraded to a 2-bed dorm :) Towel and free toiletries provided, lot of space in the bathroom to put your clothes while showering. The room was super comfortable, and it has lockers, sockets, a reading light and curtains. Also, the staff was friendly and always ready to help. Highly recommended! :)

Really nice standard double room for the price. Comfy bed. Friendly staff. Central location, handy for most places. 7 eleven 4 minutes away. Laundry and drying machine on rooftop for use, with communal eating area with dishes and microwave. Very handy.

Location isn't the prettiest road but you are minutes away from loads of places and travel prices are low.

The emplacement is very good, the staff was very nice and helpful. You’ve got a book with all the things to do around at the reception to plan your journey there 😊 and I love the decoration of the place also ! The rooftop is really nice place to chill

Be careful the floor is slippery (take off your socks for more safety 😅) and the mattress was a little bit hard for my small weight.

Very clean comfortable private double room excellent stay, close to town centre and sights. Fantastic shower, huge comfy bed all round very good.

Liked everything, some may say steep stairs to rooms, and just corn flakes and milk for breakfast… I hadn’t had milk for 7 weeks so was glad to enjoy it😂😊👍

Tongsiam is a great place to stay because it is close to the clocktower and a cool part of Chiang Rai, but it is also just far enough away for the streets to be quiet at night. In addition, the hostel will have a few people there but never too many people -- this makes it a perfect place to relax, read/write, and sleep.

very clean, very modern! plus the lady at the reception is sooo kind. she also speaks really good english and helped me a lot to organize my travel.

the dorm room is very small! and its in front of a road, so there is sound coming through the walls. but nothing earplugs can't handle.
