Private Beach: One of the highlights of the hotel is the private beach, which is accessible only to hotel guests. This adds an extra layer of exclusivity and tranquility, making it the perfect spot to relax without crowds. Swimming Pool: The pool is located right by the beach, spacious, and incredibly inviting. The pool staff is always on hand, setting up lounge chairs, offering cold water, and handing out refreshing cool towels, adding a luxury touch to the experience. Breakfast: The breakfast here is outstanding, with a special juice bar where you can enjoy freshly squeezed juices made on the spot. Very good hotel. Nice styled rooms, nice view from the balcony, very pleasant atmosphere. Motivated employees and clean private beach (hotel takes care of it daily and it is a pleasant place to stay). I had absolutely amazing relaxing time. It is a paradise. Very nice breakfast and swimming pool. Everything is very quiet and relaxed and hotels guests are kind of "selected" due to price so you will enjoy their non disturbing presence. For a night live adventures a trip to fisherman's village or Chaveng with Grab app is around 12-15 Eur and takes 20 minutes. Massage in hotel is expansive but it is absolutely charming atmosphere soI liked it.

- location, not easy to get tuk-tuk or taxi by your self. But it is easy to arrange transportation by hotel or by using grab app.

The service and the staff were excellent. I really cannot imagine better service and personnel. Everyone was extremely helpful, attentive and had big smiles on their faces. Everything was thought out, there was even a shower and changing room to use after checking out for people with later flights.

The sea was a bit dirty and it was quite difficult to swim as it was quite deep and there were big waves but I guess there is nothing the hotel can do about this

insane value, probably the best beach in Samui (private beach where you can actually swim) , everyone from the staff was top level (from the beach boy , to breakfast/restaurants staff, porters , front desk and managers - can’t name one as all of them were outstanding). its a great hotel. we previously stayed in the named best hotel of Thailand (beach resort) but this one was better.

Our stay at Garrya for our honeymoon was phenomenal! From the staff, to the amazing high quality food, and the location, it is world class. We stayed here for 7 nights and wish we had stayed more. We chose Garrya for its values of sustainability and community, and we were absolutely blown away by how amazing everything else that came with it was! We would highly recommend to all our family and friends, and we’re already talking about another trip. I have seen a lot of comments regarding the location - it’s a very short trip into town and transport is very affordable. For us personally, we valued the privacy and seclusion of the property location more, and valued the fact that you could swim without having others approach you like we experienced at the nearby beaches in town. We felt extremely safe at all times at Garrya, and felt that the staff were really well looked after by the property which makes you feel happy. We will definitely be back :)

What a gem! What a great resort! The staff, all of them, is super friendly. They make sure that you have the best time of your life. The breakfast included in our package is sensational. A wide variety of food, from different bread to fried rice, noodle soup, veggies, different styles of eggs, salads, etc. The beach is lovely and private, with no other guests than the resort guests.

The location is a bit off. Rent a motorbike for 200 Baht/day. That makes your life so much easier. Don't eat at the restaurants in the resort—average food and overpriced (rates like in Hawaii). Go to the numerous night markets for dinner or to one of the authentic Thai restaurants. Use Google to find a great spot. We had fantastic food around. Chaweng Night Market, Fishermens Village and many more. The walkways from the well-being chalets to the main house, where breakfast is served, are exhausting. You go first almost down to the beach before walking uphill again.

A fantastic hotel spread around the hills of Tongsai Bay, with its own private beach. It has an old world feel in the common parts, but the rooms were modern and stylish. Run exceptionally well by Manuel the GM. Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast room and the choice were exceptional. The restaurant by the beach was also extremely good with a great location by the water. They have two pools, one of which is kids-free (praise the lord). One of the very best resort hotels I have stayed in, if you don't mind the old world colonial feel (and I certainly don't). Great stay team.

I ordered 3 shuttle buses to take us around the hotel grounds at various points. Only one ever turned up. Mildly irritating. Also the main restaurant was a bit "Meh", which is a shame as the beach restaurant was superb.

The location and hotel grounds are exceptional. The hotel is tucked away and private, with a private beach and greenery all around. It truly is a delightful experience to walk along the paths and steps from your suite to breakfast or the beach during the day. The breakfast is outstanding! The variety from fresh fruit, to omelette to pancakes and waffles etc was exceptional. There was also unlimited fresh juice, smoothies and tea/coffee. Wonderfully friendly and endlessly helpful staff. A particular mention to Pang (manager at the 8lements Spa) and Cha (Restaurants, Food and Beverage Manager) who were immensely helpful and kind to us. Would highly recommend and we'll be returning soon! 😊

Our suite could have been a little cleaner, I want to stress this in reference to dust and cobwebs and such not actually dirt or grime. With it being an older hotel (maybe 10 - 20 years since it's last referb) our suite could have been a little cleaner. That being said the room was beautiful with wonderful wood accents and a free standing bath on the balcony which my husband loved using. I have poor eyesight and at night walking along the steps and path to the hotel restaurants or lobby was a little tricky for me. I would recommend the hotel increase the lighting at night along the paths and steps from the hotel rooms.

Breaking juices and fresh fruit can be made or ordered to your liking with a lovely woman who greets you with a smile and a burst of positivity. Spa staff are very attentive to your personal medical needs and can make adjustments. They offer complimentary 10 minute neck and shoulder massages at 10:30 outside of dining area.

Communication issues with limited English language skills which requires more effort and patience to organize tours and taxis. It would have been helpful if staff takes more charge of organizing boat tours in regards to weather and limited available space on boats.
