What I liked:EVERYTHING !!! The location, two steps away from the Cicada and Tamarind markets. The great breakfasts which were served every morning, in time and in front of the room. Two pools with several (but no too many) bungalows around. The great reception and the personel. In one word to summarize: Next time, if feasible, will go to that resort again!

Nothing we disliked

good location. Cicada Market is just outside. resort feel, very relaxing. nice room with high ceiling, with everything we need (mosquito repellent, electrical coil, clean towels, slippers). The staff was accommodating enough to move chairs and tables, bring the bread and coffee to a common pavilion so that we could have breakfast as a big group.

loud music from nearby market (should be) could be heard. But after a certain time (about 10pm?) it stopped. toilet does not feel luxury like the room and outside resort feel. But I guess it has constraints with older buildings? one of the swimming was not very clean. We had to walk to another one for a better soak. Breakfast wasn't impressive.

This is definitely the highlight of our trip. The resort is cozy and homey. Better than photos really, it's sooo beautiful and lotss of greenery, also plenty of wild birds around. Breakfast was good and got served to the terrace of your bungalow, which mostly facing the pools. Room was very clean and hot water works well Location is excellent, few steps to the beach, and night markets. lot's of eateries at the weekend market. Grabfood works perfectly in case you are lazy to go out. The staffs are always smiling and very welcoming. We were sooo happy to be greeting warmly with a cold coconut drinks after our tiring long trip from Bangkok. Do yourself a favor and stay here!!!

Probably the only thing is breakfast was all covered with plastic wrap. But i also understand it's their hygiene concern.

Lovely place, beautiful Thai style buildings and the gardens are well maintained. Very pleasant and friendly staff. Very close to two markets , which are open at the weekends and you can buy lots of local Thai food and crafts.

Baan Duangkaew Resort offers a perfect breakfast, a fantastic atmosphere that harmonizes with nature, and easy access to the sea for a well-rounded experience.

Curtains in the room didn't block out as much light as I would have liked. This could be a concern for those who are sensitive to light while sleeping. Additionally, the air conditioning unit was a bit noisy. One other drawback was the noise level from Cicada Market. The market's activities continued until around 11 pm, and the noise could be heard within the resort.

The staff first and foremost....superb and paid attention to detail. Mosquito spray and coils provided etc., Excellent size bungalows with high ceiling. Front and rear Individual terrace with table and chair. Super clean. Excellent lighting. King size bed. Full size fridge with water and tea coffee facilities. Food delivery or bring your own allowed. Air con not noisy. Breakfast delivered to your bungalow as no breakfast or lunch restaurant. 2 swimming pools kept immaculate. Attractive gardens. Business in operation 20yrs with clients returning year after year so that says it all.

Sadly (for me) it is located next to Cicada Market so Friday, Sat and Sunday the music is very lound until midnight. However for those who dont need to sleep before midnight It's not a problem.

Nice and private location the rooms were larger than expected with a great pool very close. short walk to the beach and a couple of night markets at the end of the road.

Beautiful bungalows in a peaceful garden setting with two good sized pools. The room was very bright and spacious with plenty of room for belongings. Sparkling clean with a comfortable bed. Bathroom was spacious and clean. It is a very quiet location if you stay during the week. On the weekend there is a market on the adjusted property with a loud music. We honestly thought that it would bother us but it did not. Both markets provide a great opportunity to sample Thai food and entertainment for adults and kids alike. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Each bungalow has a lovely veranda just in front of the pool. Taking everything under consideration it is a great place to stay and even better value. We would stay again. The evening swim is to die for!

What could use some improvement is the breakfast which had just very few choices and was rather bland. It was an odd arrangement considering that Covid restrictions are past us. It was distributed to the verandas on a previously agreed upon time. So some days we would feel rushed and some days we had to wait for it.

We loved everything about our stay here. It’s like a little oasis. Gorgeous gardens surrounding two small pools, comfortable cabins with attention to detail e.g. pool towels are provided. The location is close to the beach, the waterpark and in the weekends the cicada market is right next door. Staff is welcoming and friendly and we enjoyed our breakfast served at our porch.

In the weekends you can hear the noise form the market, it didn’t bother us and it stops before 24h.

A hidden gem!! We were there during low season (July 2023) and had the pools for ourselves. The hotel is near to two very nice weekend-markets (Cycade and Tamarind) and local supermarkets. The hotel staff are a star. Breakfast, with lots of choice, is served in your room: at first unusual but so abundant. We sincerely enjoyed staying here. A big thanks to all the staff!!
