I’m not now to give a 10 star review, but for the Banana Fan Sea, I wish I could give an 11. Incredible facilities, located right on the beach and close to everything, big comfy bed, and the staff was SO helpful and nice. Will 100% stay here again when returning to Koh Samui!

The location was perfect . reception staff were such amazing guides. Rooms are lovely too.

It was a bit dark walking back to the room coz we saw a tiny snake we could have killed if we didn't have a torch.

The location of this hotel in Chaweng Beach was excellent with the pool spilling out onto the beach and then at the back of the hotel, the shopping and food street. We walked everywhere. The buffet breakfast was yummy each morning and the atmosphere was relaxed. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially our taxi driver Yen who took us to the airport. Thank you for having us.

Location, cleanliness, friendliness of staff

The guests put their beach towels on the pool chairs to claim their spots, and then left for hours at a time to go back to sleep, eat breakfast, get ready, etc. There should be a time limit on how long guests can be gone from their chairs and keep their spots.

We enjoyed our stay and were said to leave. Very good breakfast, beautiful beach and we loved drinking cocktails in the pool with direct view on the ocean. We will definetely come back. Great, friendly and helpful staff.

Pool loungers were reserved by guests very early so that we could only have some at the beach (what we liked even more but for others it could be a disadvantage).

The room, grounds and staff were spectacular

Too many screaming kids in the pool. Our neighbours were up all night fighting and banging on guest doors. Very disrespectful Jews.

Great location of the resort being right on the beach; you'll enjoy your beach days or if you're not into the beach the pool is right beside for guests facing the beach/ocean. The beach is really clean also. Breakfast included in the rate was superb with lots of hot and cold variety along with fruit and pastries. It's more than enough to satisfy your breakfast. Facility was cleaning, always saw staff cleaning each day and are always friendly. Note, there's no AC in the bathroom so it will be slightly warmer than the main bedroom which does have AC. Walking distance to good restaurants, coffee shops, massages and a 7-11.

Initially, my stay at Banana Fan Sea Resort got off to a rocky start when I was assigned what seemed to be the least desirable room. However, after a polite inquiry, the staff swiftly upgraded me to a much nicer accommodation, which I greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, there were further hiccups when the locker in my room failed to work properly. It took two attempts by the maintenance team to resolve the issue, which was a bit inconvenient. Despite these challenges, I must commend the hotel staff for their prompt attention to my concerns and their efforts to rectify the situation. Once everything was sorted, the remainder of my stay was pleasant. The room was comfortable, and the amenities were satisfactory. Overall, while there were some bumps along the way, the attentive service and eventual resolution of issues left a positive impression. With a few improvements in maintenance efficiency, Banana Fan Sea Resort has the potential to provide a more seamless experience for guests.

Had room 206 - was extremely well placed in the resort and perfect having kids in all ages with us. We were really happy with our stay and the prices in the bar and the restaurant. The staff was superb.

There was some marijuana smoking by the pool and quite a lot of drunk Germans by the pool bar smoking heavily - that was a down-side bringing kids, but it didn't affect us that much. Also, the 206 terrace on top of the rooms could have been more cozy, but also a very small thing. The pool is rather small and you're not allowed to do ball games and having inflatable toys - it makes sense because of the size of the pool, but a little bit sad. The baby pool however was superb and our 3 year old had tons of fun with the toys we bought.

We loved our stay here, the hotel is gorgeous and the staff are all so lovely. The hotel is right on the beach, and it was the best beach we visited on our month in Thailand, with soft white sand and clear water. Breakfast was great, with loads of options including cooked to order. The room was clean, the bed was really comfortable and they kept on top of mosquitos really well with candles that the staff lit at dusk.

The room was pretty small, with next to no storage for our suitcase's so we spent the week having to climb over them constantly.
