This is an older hotel with a beautiful garden and well maintained pool. Our room was basic but clean and spacious. The personnel is amazing - Kayee was extremely helpful and kind, she speaks perfect English. We spent evenings chilling by the pool. We can also recommend the restaurant run by the hotel - it’s cheap and very good (please try Pannang Curry!) The location is super close to the beach (1-2 mins), main “party street”, restaurants and grocery shops. Despite proximity to the bars it was very quiet and peaceful! The closest beach feels almost like private, and is super chill - we didn’t search for another.

My experience in Rattana guesthouse was EXCEPCIONAL! I loved it! The staff (the owner's daughter) is the friendliest and the most helpful person ever. We've been traveling for 10 months and never found such a great host before. I felt like they really care about their guests. They have a little restaurant (very affordable), I had breakfast there every day for a month. They also offer laundry service. The place is located in a quiet place, apart from the crazy party zone in chaweng, so you can chill in a peaceful environment. The garden is lovely. The beach is close. Rooms are basic but with everything you need. It's clean! We highly recommend Rattana guesthouse! ❤️❤️❤️

Excellent location. Close to the heart and buzz of Chaweng but far enough away to not suffer any noise. The beach is only a couple of minutes walk and is very easily accessible. Pool area is very clean and tranquil. Rooms had everything you need for the price that you pay. We hardly spent any time in the room so we do not mind it being basic. Staff at the hotel are extremely accommodating, serving lovely food and drink throughout the day and providing fresh bottled water at your doorstep every morning. Overall the hotel has a lovely authentic Thai feel which we loved. We would look forward to staying here again should we return to Koh Samui in the future. Definitely recommend!

We only slept one night here but felt at home right away. Kayee is an amazing host, she works at the reception, customer service, cooks and so much more - she does it all! The rooms were clean, had good AC, a small fridge, hot and cold water, curtains for sun protection and privacy, and lots of space for suitcases. We also enjoyed the hotels food, especially the breakfast cause they have many options of things to order. The hotel is also well located, only 8min from the airport and the beach is a couple minutes walking. We didn’t do much in Koh Samui since we stayed only a night so I don’t know if it’s close to other popular island spots. Anyways we will come back in a week for another day. Thanks Kayee!! 🌺

We had an amazing stay! It was super clean, super comfortable, the whole hotel was so beautiful and nicely quiet with all the plants and the pool. The staff was extremely friendly, we couldn't have asked for more. There is also a room service every day and each day you get a new bottle of water. We would definetely come again!

The beach is very close, but the sea bit close to the guesthouse is not the nicest in our opinion. The water is just so still and that's why there are some plants. We always walked a bit to the right alonh the beach, where we felt a bit more comfortable as the water was more clear. It is just a small walk though and we definitely preferred our guesthouse over every other hotel we saw along the way!

Kayee & her family are the sweetest people you'd ever want to meet. They couldn't have been more welcoming & hospitable and were so helpful with information & arranging ferry tickets etc. The pool is great, the gardens are beautiful, it's close the the beach, the shops & restaurants, but it is peaceful & quiet at night. Kayee's Mum made some absolutely delicious meals in the restaurant. I would definitely stay here again!

The bed was very hard but I have found this to be the norm in Thailand. It would not put me off staying again.

Absolutely everything!!The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Chaweng with everything needed just meters away. The food in Rattana restaurant is absolutely brilliant (I was eating there almost everyday), everything is fresh and delicious. But the thing that I like the most : the People!! Everybody there was so kind and helpful in every moment, big thanks to Rattana and her amazing daughter Yee! If you read this comment Yee, you know I will see you again soon!I wish you the best! I just loved my stay!!

Staff were so helpful, with excellent English & nothing we asked was ever too much! Brilliant location, about a 2min walk from the beach & just off the main street but we had no problem with noise! Clean towels & cleaned room whenever we asked, they also had a laundry service which was so handy! Wi-Fi was strong! Pool was clean and lovely to swim in! They dropped two bottles of water every day to our door! They have a small restaurant which we didn’t even realise when booking! The food was great and it was brilliant for the few days of the storm when we didn’t want to walk through the town! Excellent value for money! I really recommend staying here! Ended up staying an extra 4 nights!

Beds only had sheets not proper duvet, but we didn’t ask for one as it wasn’t too much of an issue for us. Bathroom gets soaked when showering, because of the way it’s facing, as there is no shower curtain. It did dry up quickly though. And that’s really nit picking!

Great helpful staff and restaurant. The landscaping is beautiful and a young man keeps it nice every day. Even rakes up leaves every day. Well maintained. Once the pool was fixed, it was excellent. Location is perfect, couple minutes from beach, easy to get to restaurants too. Great value. I enjoyed the cats and the beagle that live there.

When we got there, the pool was green, neglected, and not usable. But they fixed it within a day.

Everything was perfect. The resort is amazing with such a nice pool garden area in the middle. The rooms/bungalows are around the garden and every room has a nice view. The pool is great and clean. The room (we had a superior room) was spacious and equipped with everything we needed (shampoo, soap and every day 2 bottles of water for free). What’s really nice is that every room has chairs on its terrace/balcony, so you can enjoy the time outside. Beach is just 200m down the street. Located in a quiet street but close to the main street where all the restaurants and bars are. The resort has an own restaurant with delicious food for good prices (the currys are amazing) and an own small shop for daily products, also for a good price. The best part about the resort are the warm-hearted owner and the staff. Especially the owner‘s daughter takes great care of you and is extremely nice. You can ask for anything and she is always there when there is a problem. All in all we had a perfect stay there and can recommend it 100%, especially considering the price you pay.
