The Resort is located in a gorgeous part of the island, at the end of the road that goes south. The huts are new and fresh, and the view from most is breathtaking. The resort is named after Freedom beach, which is easily accessible via stairs. Koh Tao has a lot to offer and Relax Freedom Beach Resort is great place to start. We also really appreciated the shuttle from and to the pier. The breakfast was generous and excellent, even including some delicious fried chicken one morning!

We tried a motorbike rental and would like to discourage people from renting in Koh Tao generally. The personnel was very nice and friendly and the prices decent, but the traffic can be quite tough for inexperienced drivers.

Everything. The location is awesome with view over the rocks of freedom beach. Beautiful houses and the room was nice, clean, comfy bed, working AC, great bathroom with a really good shower. Clean towels (also for the beach) and 4 water bottles daily. Breakfast (buffet) was amazing. Fresh fruit (mango, pineapple, watermelon), banana pancakes, scrambled egg, omelette, spring rolls, meat, thai food (rice, pad thai, vegetables, changed every day) bread, croissants, juices, coffee, tea and great salads with the most amazing garlic dressing. Scooter rental next door. Two beaches (beautiful to snorkel) with showers and toilets next door. Lookout around the corner. The views from the rooms are the best. Free pickup was very convenient. The restaurant at the beach was good, too.

Bumpy and steep road to the hotel but it's okay. Nothing bad to say.

This property is EXCELLENT. We stayed at the honeymoon suite and we couldn't praise it enough. The room was gorgeous, with a huge, comfortable bed, and an amazing balcony with a bathtub. The view to Freedom Beach is incredible. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly, always willing to help. The breakfast buffet is very varied and delicious. The hotel has access to two of the best beaches in Koh Tao, which is wonderful.

Nothing, this is probably the best hotel I've ever stayed in.

The location is a dream come true, the staff is so so lovely and living by the beach is definitely another level if you want to unplug completely. The rooms are comfortable, clean and there’s daily housekeeping. Breakfast is ok-ish.

The room was tiny for two! I would have appreciated a bit more room and a window in the toilet. Internet was very unstable. You’ll do lots of exercise because there are many stairs. There’s not much around the resort so you’ll need a scooter or taxi to move around. You can’t have a private beach and also be in the middle of action.

For those who are looking for peace and a special experience with a perfect beach, this is the place for them. We slept in a bungalow by the water, and it was amazing. The hotel staff was perfect.

The breakfast was pretty standard.

This is a beautiful, romantic, resort on the beach The little challenge are big with big comfortable bathrooms and comfortable beds comfortable beds. The rooms are very clean. There is a hot water kettle and instant coffee and tea available in the room. Each little little villa/bungalow has a view of the ocean and all villas are interconnected by stairs and walkways which are very nice.

The main reception area appears to be under construction construction and there is there is garbage strone all over the place. The staff is surly and not very very interactive or friendly. The Restaurant is over staffed, and the food is terrible. You have to take a taxi into town or have a motorbike a motorbike otherwise you're stuck eating at their restaurant which is not very nice.

The view from the room was really nice and good breakfast.

The shower in the beach is missing, and the restaurant was not really good.

We rented Bungalows directly Sea front, which were basic but completely fine, comfortable and with renovated bath rooms. The view on the balcony was amazing. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant at the beach very tasty.

They had very loud construction works going on because currently they are building new Bungalows.

Excellent hospitality from the moment we got to Koh Tao. Had someone waiting for us at the pier, helped with bags and also got dropped off back to the pier on the last day. Beautiful views out the window and peaceful location, few steps away from the beach. Breakfast had a good selection including fruit, bread, various eggs, pad thai, fried rice. During our stay in Koh Tao there was a few days of heavy rain so we were really glad for the breakfast and their restaurant so we didn't have to go into the main town for those days.

It was hard to get around if you don't rent a scooter due to it's remote location, around 15 minutes walk to nearest shop or restaurants - it's walkable but quite hilly. Taxi to the other side of the island is around 300 baht.

The location of the hotel is great. Good walking distance from the "city". The view is phenomenal. Beautiful sunsets. The viewpoint is 3 minutes from hotel, great hike in walking shoes. Breathtaking view. A must. Beach is great, rather crouwdy and grass smokers everywhere... free joint by sitting there :( the people at restaurant are really really kind.

It is totally not suitable for older people. Not enough rails to hold on, stairs are unequal, no rails going up to cottage. It is dangerous as it is steep. When we told at reception the answer was "it is not our hotel". I hope our message will land and they will adjust or make some location suitable for elderly couples. The freedom beach as mentioned above is full with weed smokers...
