I like everything in this resort. The landscape of resort is great and there is small creek runs over the resort that it gives a very tranquil sense. There is bar nearby the pool. I recommend that you should not miss it, especially during the sunset. It's such a breathtaking view. My room has a lot of space and also have large balcony. Bed and pillows is good and gave me a very nice sleep. All staffs are local villagers, very friendly and smiling all the time. Well, it can not forget to mention about the resort dogs! They are so lovely, calm and quiet. The purpose of these great dogs are to be your hiking guide for forest trekking where it is just behind the resort. The full loop hiking takes about 4 hours and dog will lead you the way! Breakfast is fine and good. Overall, I was really happy for my one week stay there.

I wish that breakfast should have fried rice too. As now, it has only fried noodle in every day.

Located in rural area. about 10 mins away from nearest town. Rooms (huts) spread out across large hotel area. Rice Paddy at the front of our Hut. 2 pools, nice restaurant, nice staff, great location nestled in jungle. 4 hr jungle trail walk if you want it. 5 mins ride off Mae Hong Son Loop. It's diiferent and we loved our 1 night there. We ate at the hotel restaurant which was very reasonable and with good Northern Thai cuisine. Staffed by locals who we really friendly. You need insect repellent to eat out at night, but if you are this far into Thailand then you know that already. Would happily stay again

Rooms showing its age a little bit. but everything still worked and room was clean. We had some local wild life living in the ceiling as we could hear it scurrying around. It was initially a bit disconcerting but we got used to it and it just wanted as much of a good nights sleep as we need and when quite once we stopped talking and woke up with us and started scurying around again in the morning. It made the stay in the end more memorable and part of teh experience. No idea what it was. But the hut really are in the nature.

Probably the best hotel I've ever been to. It's not the most luxurious, the equipment in the rooms might not be brand new or extra modern (although they're very comfortable) however none of this mattered. This was more than a stay in a hotel, it felt like a proper excursion due to the fantastic location and the atmosphere that has been created. The swimming pool facing the rice field, the location, the impression to be in the middle of the jungle, the peace and quiet, the staff. It's got an unrivalled charm to it. The only downside is to have only been able to spend one night there and not more!

Such a beautiful, serene place, from the property to the staff to the other guest to the resort dogs. A good breakfast ; eggs to order, fruit, toast, juices, sausage, and selection of Thai dishes. Buffet style in the restaurant. Dinner one night in the restaurant - good selection with typical prices - $150 bht typical entree. All meals were very well prepared, attentive service. The beds were firm (normal SE Asia style), but pillows were soft. We slept well Both pools are nice, with the sunset, neg edge pool being the sunnier, warmer of the two. Yes, the resort has a few dings, scratches, and chips (like me). It makes it all the more classic and soulful. We look forward to chance to return

This resort is such a gem. The bungalows are integrated into the forest and a magnificent garden. I loved the flower garden with all the butterflies so much. The resort has 2 swimming pools. One surrounded by trees and the other one overlooking some rice fields. My bungalow was next to a small stream and instead of a terrace it had this beautiful little pergola surrounded by vegetation. Sitting there I was able to observe humming birds, squirrels and quite a few other animals. The staff is just wonderful, and the restaurant serves very good food. The hotel provides a free shuttle service to town twice a day, which is really useful if you want to have dinner in town.

Wonderful hotel! The staff is very exceptional! Always available. Looking to us to be sure all is perfect for us. The garden, swimming pool , the nature, the calm atmosphere, the local decoration are all the elements that we really appreciate. It is 100 % recommendation for this hotel. We appreciated also the trail with our children in the jungle. It is easy to go because starting at the hotel. We enjoyed the food at the restaurant also.

Approximately 50 bungalows are spaciously arranged on a beautifully landscaped property of 20 or 30 acres. In addition to flower gardens, magnificent trees and two swimming pools, there are terraced rice paddies, vegetable gardens, chickens, ducks and pet dogs. Staff are friendly, caring locals who are genuinely interested in the well-being of the guests. The onsite restaurant is quite nice and when you are ready for more variety, the shuttle to Mae Hong Son is very efficient. Our bed and room were very comfortable and met all of our needs. We felt privileged to live in such an idyllic setting for 5 days. After 3 trips and a combined 8 weeks in the country, Fern is our new favorite lodging in Thailand.

The nature trail in the adjacent national park goes through a beautiful forest. But the trail is extremely rugged and needs some work to be suitable for hikers of all ages.

From the moment I arrived at Fern Resort, it was clear this place was something truly special. This wasn't just a stay; it was an emotional experience that deeply moved me, and leaving after just one night felt unexpectedly poignant. The magic of isn’t about meticulous details; it's about the atmosphere as a whole. The colors, the smells, and the sounds all blend together to create an environment that vibrates with enchantment. Each element comes together to forge an unforgettable experience that exceeded all my expectations. The staff at are the heart of its charm. They are kind, helpful, always smiling, and impeccably polite, enhancing the overall experience with their attentive service. The culinary offerings were delightful, with delicious meals and an exceptional breakfast that perfectly started the day. My only regret is that I stayed for just one night. Time constraints were my downfall, and I left a piece of my heart behind in this enchanting place. Like many travelers, I find myself leaving bits of my heart across Thailand, but it’s at Fern where I left the biggest piece. Now, I'm set with the sole aim of returning as soon as possible to immerse myself for many more days in this magical place.

We loved our stay!! It is a beautiful place to spend a few nights. We relaxed by the pool which is a beautiful setting, did the hike to the falls which you can walk to from the resort. The resort dogs joined us, which I loved as I missed my dog at home. They stayed with you the whole way. When we were done, they headed back to find new hiker, as they left us at trails end. Lots of choice at breakfast, which was good, fresh salad at dinner, as the garden is growing on the property. Loved that!! If your traveling northern Thailand, this is a stop and enjoy kind of place. We arrived later the first day and had 3 nights and 2 full days to enjoy. We had a very nice bottle of wine a dinner Loved it!!

Dinner was pretty good but more overpriced (as would be expected). Stay true to your wonderful Thai cooking style. It was a hit and miss with choices. (an example) Pad Thai is a classic dish and should have been amazing, but was very weak. Small critic, but the success of a place is knowing where it can be improved.

The Fern Resort was absolutely divine. I would come back to Thailand just to visit there! It was so peaceful and serene, so many different areas and facilities onsite, you don’t need to leave the resort if you don’t want to. Just relax and enjoy the surrounds by the pool (they have 2!). The food from the restaurant is very good, staff were all so friendly and accommodating, the gardens and views were stunning. We also enjoyed the hike you can do leaving from the property through the bush accompanied by the resident dog Snow White who showed us the way! The rooms were private, spacious and comfortable and I loved hearing the stream flow and birds sing from our room and everywhere you go around the property. 10/10 !!
