LOOK NO FURTHER! Baan Souy is BY FAR the best resort of the many I’ve stayed in Thailand over the years. In fact it’s so good it raised my opinion of the entire area of Jomtien. Everything is in it’s place, carefully maintained and to a very high standard. Details, function, setting and amenities. It has it all. On top of this and no small part are the excellent staff. Considerate, professional, conscientious and impeccable manners.

What is not to like? Right up to the minutes before I left I was telling the owners I didn’t want to leave. Both times I’ve visited I extended my stay there!

Look no further. As a native Scot you can be sure my eye is both critical and extremely concerned about cost:value. This resort is a hidden gem, compact and beautifully hidden in plain sight. I was genuinely surprised by the cordial and helpful staff who were always happy to help and really make an effort. I was in multiple cities earlier this year for work and ended up extending my stay here and regretting having to leave. Seriously the best place I've ever stayed in Thailand. the value for money and the attention to detail means it punches well above it's weight. I've rebooked for 2 weeks in June, another work trip and I look forward to it once more !

I can't fault it really, there are multiple laundrettes within walking distance, maybe a wash room for clothing?

The hotel has rooms surrounding the pool and lovely garden with trees and shrubs and birds singing. It is really attractive. The rooms are plenty big enough, with lots of drawers and a computer sized safe. There is a big bathroom with huge walk-in shower and 3 different shower heads. There was plenty for breakfast with a choice of 5 set menus. You could eat in the dining room, but it was much nicer sitting outside your room in the garden and having breakfast brought to you. Drinks and lunch was also available up until 4pm, but you have to eat out in the evening. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk down a small soi off Thappraya Road, so no traffic noise, but it was easy to catch a Baht bus to Jomtien beach each day and into Pattaya to eat each evening. Overall an excellent hotel

Beds and pillows rather hard. Breakfast said no substitution. American was 3 rashers of bacon, a sausage, 2 eggs, hash browns and toast and was more than I could eat, so I would have liked to swop the sausage for a half tomato, or some fruit. As this is a small, owner run hotel, I think they could find a friendly way to make the breakfast more flexible.

The breakfast was served at the table. They had healthy breakfast museli and fresh fruit or standard eggs. It was very good. The location was quiet and the garden delightful. The room was designed well with attention to little details like a ceiling fan as well as air conditioning, makeup mirror, and a big refrigerator.

Smashing place to stay! Very well looked after establishment, you can really tell that the proprietors of this hotel care about their customers experience. Beautiful pool, lovely rooms and alfresco areas. The hotel really is an oasis away from the hubbub of down town. Many options for eating close by and the transport links at the end of the road are great. Thanks for a great stay.

Really nice boutique hotel, friendly staff and excellent pool.

I am a bit old and grumpy, my eyes arent as good as they used to be and I generally wake up with some aches and pains, so please take that into account. The TV could have been a little bigger and the bed a little softer but both are probably fine for 98% of people

The Baan Souy Resort looks great in the photos, and even better in person. The rooms are beautiful, stylish and very clean, as is the whole resort. The staff are friendly and helpful and the owner Jim is a great guy, with a real passion for making his guests feel at home. I highly recommend staying here.

beautiful property with wonderful pool, great ambiance, specially at nighttime. Right midway Jomtien and downtown, if you rent a bike you can go anywhere.

Room smelled mouldy and you can’t leave the doors open because everyone could see inside. to get private you need to keep the curtains closed all the time. The smell got into my clothes.

I have stayed here many times after travelling around Thailand. The facilities and rooms are excellent and the staff treat you like family. As a solo traveller it’s a good place to socialise and never fails! I leave once again with new friends and contacts!

not your usual hotel, and like staying with family. It truly is a perfect place. Cleanliness, location and 10+ staff. I recommend it.
