NOTE: This review is NOT for the Sungthong Kamala Beach Resort. It was written for the Sungthong Mango Hotel and Booking.com accidently posted for the wrong facility. One of the better 3 star hotels I have stayed at on phuket. Many positive features you will appreciate: recently renovated with modern sinks, marble showers, well-functioning a/c, private deck, mini-fridge. Very clean. The bed was quite firm but I slept well. Generally more quite here than most due to location. However, at the time of this review (December, 2023) there is a construction project at the adjoining property and loud construction noise during daytime. For you sound nerds, the construction noise results in the typical noise level of 40 decibles increasing to about 55 decibles. Estimate that construction may continue throughout January. Daily room cleaning and the typical 2 bottles of water allotment. Very friendly host. Close to most services and grocery stores. Good value.

Downside might be the distance to the beautiful beach, about a 15 to 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive. There's a number of roosters living next door that rise early.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and you are provided with water bottles, tea and coffee daily. They also change towels and bathroom essentials daily. If you need an hairdryer, you can ask at the reception and they’ll provide you with one.

The area does not look great but to be fair it is just 5 minutes walk from the Main Street, 15 minutes walk from the main attractions on Kamala beach. We did not mind at all. The down side is that for some reason you cannot find the property on google maps or other your websites but this is not a major problem.

I had an enjoyable 10 night stay at Sungthong Kamala Beach Resort. The location was good, just a short walk to the beach and to the centre of the town with its range of restaurants and cafes. There were also good value restaurants and a coffee shop by the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. A good bathroom, a comfortable bed and a nice balcony overlooking the pool. The staff were very friendly throughout the hotel, all of which helped make this an excellent place to stay. Good value for money.

staff is super friendly and helpful. the location is handy as it is close to the big supermarket. the room was very clean and comfortable. nice balcony to chill out. you get 2 bottles of water for free every day, which was very nice.

we actually stayed in another building of the hotel, which was not indicated on booking or google maps. The swimming pool was not in operation (unlike as shown in booking). In the bathroom there were no hooks for towels, not very handy. The room does not get very dark to sleep.

Good clean and spacious room. Very comfortable with balcony overlooking the pool. The location was good, although not right on the beach, there is a walkway from the pool area that takes you to the beach- about 300 metres I think? It is close to the Big C supermarket, which is where Phuket Smart Bus stops in Kamala - the bus runs between airport and Phuket Old town.

The hotel is a little run down, but comfortable. Not on the beach, but good value for money.

Great room size for the price, lovely swimming pool and balcony. Easy walking distance to the beach.

Would be nice if breakfast was served on site.

This place is fantastic it's the best hotel I have ever stayed in in Thailand. The room was huge and spotless, cleaned everyday fresh towels and sheets. I left some coins as a tip for the maid but she did not take it until I said that's for you. Been to Thailand 4 times and trust me for 1000thb a night its great. 5 mins from everywhere beach shop streetfood bus stop. Staff were so friendly and helpful, laundry onside so no carrying a bag through town and back. Clean nice pool. Good balcony quite but 5 mins from the action

The room was very clean, they make it everyday. despite of the location close to road, it was quiet and calm there - we had a room on the back side of the hotel. Still can hear the mosque early in the morning, but I got used to it in several days. And the staff is so lovely, liked them and cats so much )) you can rent a bike and make a massage right in the hotel - convenient and good price

Location is 10-15 minutes from the public beach, the nearest is not acceptable for swiming

The room was spacious and the location was really convenient! A few minutes walk to the beautiful Kamala beach and the Big C supermarket is just around the corner. Cheap and great restaurants can be found near the hotel. We enjoyed the pool at night because almost no one was there. The staffs were very friendly.

The room wasn’t provided with a hair dryer but we didn’t ask the reception maybe they had it there, not sure!

Mr t is and his staff are very friendly and helpful..rooms are serviced every day by very good and fast cleaners...I have stayed here before and never disappoints... excellent price for my room...I payed for more time here...Mr t even upgraded my room upon arrival...nice large room overlooking the pool...I have stayed in hotels here that were 5 stars that were not as good as this...And this hotel is listed as 3....should be more..... thankyou Mr t.....I will be back....
