Istanbul has plenty of hotels to choose from, making it challenging for newcomers to pick the one that ticks all boxes. Close to the Blue Mosque and other highlights of the city has its advantages. A huge drawback is the continuing noise, crowded streets, and highly overpriced hotels that characterise that area. You don't get what's advertised, pictures of rooms can be tricky out there, breakfasts and other amenities disappointing (as we've experienced first hand) Then, there's the Ibis Styles Merter Hotel. This hotel is situated at 35 minutes by tram (T1) from the city's main landmarks and 350 meters from the nearest tram stop (Mehmet Akif). The hotel offered a spontaneous room upgrade to begin with, with 37m2 of space, a gorgeous seaview (4th floor), an armchair, and a splendid bed and rain shower. The curtains completely block the sunlight and the door is massive and soundproof, making the room extremely well suited for light sleepers. The staff have been overzealous to assist us: the reception and restaurant staff have been helpful, friendly, and humorous (yet polite!). Breakfast is seriously elaborate and fresh and we had dinner at the restaurant a couple of times as well: highly recommended. Besides a swimming pool, there's a fitness with top class materials and Raya Thai Spa. Do try the spa! The masseuses are experienced professionals and we've had a relaxing experience (Bali massage). They have a couple's room, so you and your partner get massaged simultaneously. We'd enjoyed the hotel so much that we'd added another day to our stay, in the same upgraded room. The hotel radiates quality, solidity and service, it's a true 4 star. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who's visiting Istanbul and prefers comfort and quality over distance. Great value for money! Therefore, a 10 score.

I like this Hotel Because of Cleanliness, Lovely & Humble Staff, Good Food in breakfast. if you are here for Business then its great, if you are here for Fun and Roaming, then its so far from Tourist places..

Lots of Food in Breakfast, but if you are from India or Asia region, u can eat just 2-3 items. Struggling with Food. Rooms are good but little bit Small, not big as shown in pictures. Mattress are so bounce, 1 or 2 days are okk, but after 2 days your back will pain. Too far from main town. No place to visit nearby 😉

Our stay at this hotel was truly delightful, largely thanks to the incredibly helpful reception staff who went out of their way to assist us throughout our visit. From providing directions to nearby attractions, to calling taxis for us, their friendly and attentive service made us feel welcome. The hotel's location was also a major plus point. The tram stop was less than a 5-minute walk away, making it easy to access the city's main tourist attractions. However, the hotel itself was located in a peaceful area away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas. This meant that we were able to enjoy a peaceful night's sleep without being disturbed by noise, which was exactly what we were looking for. Additionally, the hotel was just a 20-minute taxi drive from the main station, where we were able to catch buses to other cities, making it a convenient base for exploring the surrounding area.

Modern, good quality hotel. The staff is the best what the hotel offers: the reception desk, the cleaning room service and especially the breakfast staff – they are the best! And the breakfast itslef – such a variety of food and high quality products (except coffee which has instatnt taste). Love it! The room is quite big, the bed is very comfortable (except the pillows – uncomfortable big baloons). Very clean bathroom. The kettle in the room. Water, tea and instant coffee complemented every day. After whole day of visiting the city I liked cool water in the swimming pool. Generally, it is clothes shops area near the hotel. A few local bars. And the mosque is nearby ;)

For those who plan to use public transport, it is far from the center, but I knew it before. As well, not so close to the tram stop and the way (pavement) is very bad. Very stained carpet in the room. Poor soundproofing. Both: the walls between rooms and window as well. Spa area is OK, but has strange sauna system: one day when I entered it was not hot inside. After that I was told by the staff, that it happens sometimes when nobody is inside. But I was there and it got more and more cold. I have never experienced such a system before. It was waste of time.

Breakfast was hearty, with freshly made omelet and all sorts of international and local goodies to choose from. The restaurant's prices were also actually quite reasonable. The location isn't the most central but the tram station is 5 minutes away on foot and gets you to the city center within ~30 minutes. Its positive is that nearby taverns and stores are cheap comparably to the ones in the center and the local money exchange has good rates. The staff was the bright star of the place. All waiters like were always kind, willing and well meaning, like Erkan. The Receptionists were top notch. Fluent in English, they were most helpful in our needs when my girlfriend had a sudden health issue. They were quick to order a taxi on three different occasions and help us communicate with the taxi drivers, who spoke little English. During or check out we urgently had to book a plane given my girlfriends health issues. We were lucky to speak to Berfınay. Within 15 minutes she helped us book a flight tremendously. We owe you girl. Thank you kindly.

Maybe a few of the staff here and there could improve their English, although usually we managed to communicate efficiently enough. The Receptionists were fluent, while the waiters could manage.

I stayed in this hotel for over 2 weeks, last year I came for one week and I liked it so I came back again. The staff are super friendly, helpful and welcoming with a great smile, thanks to Shohida and Farhat at the reception desk both of them were awesome, helpful with information, directions and advices. The breakfast was superb, with various flavors of delicious food, vegetables and fruits, the breakfast staff are super friendly and welcoming, thanks also to Befeney who were looking after guests to get their feedback on a daily basis to ensure quality and their satisfaction. The room was clean and spacious, bed was very comfortable, thanks to the room service who clean and change sheets and towels daily, you also have water, coffee, tea and a little refrigerator, and the room has a nice view on Istanbul. The hotel is calm and quiet all the day and night, so it's great option for relaxing, but also bussiness, you have the Fitness center includes Gym, swimming pool, Sauna,Turkish bath and steam bath, all are great and located underground with the Spa. When it comes to transportation, very simple and easy, you have the station of bus line 92T is around 220m only, it takes you directly to Taksim Square, if you stay on it, it will continue near to Osmanbay metro station. There is also the Tram, it's around 550m, it takes you to all tourist places like Grand Bazaar, The Blue Mosque, Ayasofya, and more, also it will continue to Kabatas station, where you can take the funicular to Taksim Square directly. I strongly recommend it, if you don't want to stay in a noisy place in the city center, yet you can enjoy Istanbul, then this place is the best place for you.

I recently had the pleasure of staying for 14 nights at IBIS Styles Istanbul and it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm, friendly service that continued throughout my stay. The room was impressive, both in terms of cleanliness and amenities. It was spacious, well-furnished, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I particularly enjoyed the hotel The hotel’s location was perfect, offering easy access to local attractions and transport. This made my trip even more enjoyable as I spent less time commuting and more time exploring the local area. In terms of amenities,really shines. The gym, pool, spa were top-notch, and the restaurant served some of the best meals I’ve had during my travels. In conclusion, IBIS Styles Istanbul offers outstanding value for money. The entire experience far exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking comfortable accommodation, excellent service, and a prime location. My stay was genuinely memorable, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.”

The overall facilities, the staff and location is really good. 1. The hotels spa and gym photos dont do justice with the over all ambience of the facilities, they are far more better than what they look like in the pictures. 2. Location: it has a perfect location with 3 mins walk from the nearest bus station right behind the hotel, from where direct buses go to the city's main attractions like taksim square and istiklal street. The nearest metro station is 8 mins walk and has direct linkage to blue mosque and grand bazar. 3. The locality has many shops near by, with alot of places to eat with in 2 mins walking distance. I would come back and stay at the same place. Highly recommended. I am not going to name any staff here as all of them were very accomodating and ready to help even in late hours.

I liked everything at ibis styles merter

Friendly staff, especially Bertan in the evening. He was friendly, polite and extremely helpful with everything we needed. He speaks good English and he helped us to communicate with Turkish taxi drivers. Filiz, the cleaning lady was also great; friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was delicious.

We booked two rooms. The AC in one of them was not properly working. Unfortunately, I asked the reception about it , but the lady in the evening shift told me they could not provide a different room and they might change it after two days. I did not change it. The food hall, mosque and lobby were also hot, but I need to point out that the weather was generally hot.
