Everything about this hotel was amazing! The breakfast was a large assortment of cheese, bread, olives and sweets. The owner went above and beyond to help me out and make suggestions on things to see in Konya. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had great water pressure and was very hot! The owner offered to bring me to the bus station which was so kind. When I travel I appreciate learning various aspects of the culture. It was interesting to discuss different international geopolitical events with the owner. After the hustle and bustle of Istanbul Konya was a much needed place to relax a bit. I would highly recommend staying here on your visit to Konya.

I don't usually write reviews but our experience at the Dervish Hotel was so good that I wanted to say thank you and recommend this hotel to others. The location is perfect for the historic centre, with restaurants, shops and historic sites all within a short walk. The hotel is a beautifully restored Ottoman house and the rooms are a good size, comfortable, and immaculately clean (including the bathroom which has a nice strong shower). Air conditioning works well but we were also able to sleep with the windows open and no air conditioning (in the height of summer) which is always a bonus. The breakfast includes a good range, including home made jams and fresh fruit and a variety of lovely fresh breads and we were offered freshly made omelettes each morning (I'm sure other cooked eggs could be requested). What makes this hotel really special is the family that own and run it. They are exceptionally helpful and go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Muammar gave us excellent tips about restaurants, things to do and transport around the city and was always happy - and able - to help with all our requests. This is very much a small family run hotel so the facilities are not as extensive as large international hotel but its has a lovely garden that you can sit in and the level of care is amazing. I'm sure every guest is made to feel as welcome as we were. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Konya!!! Thank you Muammar and family for a lovely stay!

Breakfast was fresh and a good variety.

The only light was central in the ceiling and the switch was beside the door. A bedside light would be good. Although we had booked two separate rooms, unfortunately a mix up by the host meant that only one room in the main guest house was available. A second room was made available in the adjacent owner's house, but without the same facilities.

During our recent visit to Mevlana Türbesi, we had the pleasure of staying at The Konya Dervish Hotel. It was an unforgettable experience! The hotel’s proximity to historical sites, including Mavlana, made it an ideal choice. Upon arrival, we were greeted by lovely staff who kindly asked us to remove our shoes before entering the amazing old mansion. This attention to detail reflected the hotel’s commitment to cleanliness. Fresh slippers awaited us, or we could walk barefoot on hand-knitted kilims—a testament to the immaculate environment. The rooms were spotlessly clean and exceptionally comfortable. As discerning travelers, we appreciated the meticulous upkeep. Not a single water mark marred the shower head—an impressive feat! Undoubtedly, this is the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed. The friendly and helpful staff at Dervish Hotel made our stay truly memorable. From parking to check-in, their warm hospitality put us at ease. They provided a local map and took the time to recommend must-see places and dining options. The top-notch open buffet breakfast exceeded our expectations. Alongside a wide selection of nibbles, they even prepared omelettes to order—a delightful touch. The hotel itself is a masterpiece—a gorgeous building exuding old-world charm. The high-quality rooms and impeccable service perfectly complement the elegance. In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend The Konya Dervish Hotel. It’s not just about comfort; it’s an opportunity to immerse yourself in authentic Turkish culture and hospitality.

Superb welcome by very good people especially Mr Muammar who runs the property with his brother. It is more a home away from home than a hotel. Mr Muammar and his lovely family made us feel very at ease and welcomed. Muammar was so helpful and kind guiding us where to eat and how to get to Hazret Mevlana R.A only 5 mins walk. The property is impecably clean and so beautiful.

Nothing. However being a hotel, it would be welcomed if tea/coffee facilities could be provided in the rooms but apart from that all good.

This was one of the best stays I've had. A beautiful Ottomon style guest house with lush carpets everywhere and a fantastic Turkish style Breakfast with fresh coffee, fruits, nuts, cheeses and delicious breads and other local condiments. The host was exceptional with his help, hospitality, local tips, knowledge and care. They also organised local taxis and trips for us. Location is also great, few minutes walk from Rumi Museum and the whole old city. Thank you for sharing your culture and experiences so generously. Konya is a lovely city. I would love to come back and stay here again.

If you are looking for an authentic experience where you meet and truly get to connect with locals then this is the place for you. The owner Mehmet is what makes this place special. My dad and 6 year old son stayed here and felt like we were staying at a relatives home as Mehmet was so accommodating and helpful. Location is terrific, as you can reach the bazaar, restaurants, Dervish experience, Rumis tomb etc. All within walking distance. We travel a lot around the world and this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in with truly warm and welcoming hospitality. Highly recommend this place.

Everything was great.

What can I say, from the moment we arrived we were welcomed with easy access, lock up parking and freshly picked apples! This place feels like a family home but with all the benefits of a great hotel. Hospitality was second to none, lots of recommendations from the owner on the best places to eat, places that mainly locals go to, as well as all the best attractions. We felt so looked after. The owners are the most friendly and helpful people. The location is walking distance to all the main attractions. Breakfast was also amazing featuring loads of locally sourced and home made products and produce. We would highly recommend staying here for the best Konya experience!

No negatives!

When we first drove up I was nervous because there were empty lots next to the hotel and an unimpressive little sign. But as soon as we stepped in the gates it was a little funky oasis. We had driven and had free parking behind a gate. But we didn’t move after that because everything was within walking distance. We could walk to the Meehan’s Museum, the bazaar and many other places very easily. The owner recommended a restaurant really close by that was homey, inexpensive, accommodated our vegetarianism (in fact, at the hotel owners suggestion, they made us a special eggplant dish). Although very inexpensive, our room was large and comfy. A nice breakfast was included in the price. The owner was the best part: I felt like I was in his home. When we got there he was essentially babysitting for another guest’s kid. He offered us Mulberries from his own trees. The owner has a rug shop on site. His brother is a respected rug dealer-it turns out that a friend of mine from Boston who used to be a rug collector knows him. So I decided to look at his rugs and he patiently helped me find one I liked in my (not high) price point. It was a fun experience and I think I got a good deal.

The host was very helpful. Upon arrival he provided us with a map, dinner recommendation, and feedback on how/where to park safely. Breakfast was very fresh and offered a lot of variety. The old Ottoman house was clean and comfortable. What a privilege to stay in such a historic and well-care for home. Close walk to the Mevlana Cultural Center and other sites within Konya.

Sometimes took a bit of time to be let back in the gate, which is locked. Only an issue for us because it was very hot while waiting outside and it was time for us to leave.
