Excellent hotel the staff are friendly, courteous, professional and nothing is too much trouble. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We stayed 7 nights and have already booked for next year ! Dog friendly is an understatement blankets, towels, bed and bowls in the room staff on their hands and knees playing and fussing with the dog Eric had a great time. The breakfast is exceptional and yet again nothing is too much trouble if there's something you want even when not on the menu. The food in the restaurant is excellent, tasty and huge portions so be warned elasticated waists are essential especially when staying several nights.

Slight problem with tv but that was out of their control and was sorted asap.

Comfortable, friendly hotel in the heart of Warkworth. From the moment we arrived the staff were amazing. Breakfast was lovely. Good choice and the fresh fruit salad was incredible, cooked items were tasty and the coffee was good and strong. Ate in the hotel restaurant on 2 of our 5 nights and had delicious meals on both occasions. Its a small hotel but ran very well. Our room was a small double No 20 but very comfy and well equipped, it's in the eaves on the top floor so if you are tall it might be one to avoid but we are 5'7" & 5'9" and we had no issues, it has a lovely view out over the gardens and trees at the rear of the hotel so very quiet as well.

Nothing not to like. Parking at the hotel is limited and down a narrow street. So if you want to park on the premises you may struggle. We parked I the village square 2 minutes from the hotel and had no issues.

Great staff, beautiful village, great food, we stayed an extra night we loved it so much. A really good base hotel got walk from or get the bus from....(bus service is a tad unreliable but ok). The village is lovely with a castle, rive etc etc. Alnmouth (5 mile) and Amble (2 mile) are walkable if you're feeling fairly fit.

Parking was a lottery if you HAD to be near the hotel. There was plenty in the village but we had to resort to parking near the river as main street and hotel car par were full. Not a deal breaker but may frustrate some. TV was a bit hit and miss in room but ---you're not there to watch telly ?

We had a suite which was spacious with a large bed and a sofa. The furnishings were top quality. There was plenty of storage space which would be v useful if you were staying longer. We were really impressed with the mini fridge with fresh milk for your coffee or tea.The coffee machine made good coffee The bathroom was small but modern and had two robes and big white towels. The shower was ok but water pressure was a bit low probably because of the age of the building. The public areas were clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the meals. The staff were friendly and attentive.

The Warkworth House Hotel earns top rating because of the fantastic customer focused service - they are excellent. We arrived soaked to the skin after a day cycling in the rain and the guy on reception welcomed us with open arms, whisked our bikes away to store and ushered us straight up to our room to get clean and dry, then offered to dry our cycling clothes and shoes for us. The hotel is beautifully quirky without a straight line anywhere. Our room was full of character too, well equipped with a modern en-suite bathroom, a comfy bed and table and soft chair to relax in. The hotel provided a fan to help keep us cool at night. We ate in the hotel which had a few vegan options that were well presented and tasted great. Highly recommended place to stay in Warkworth.

Great country village hotel with a traditional feel. Everywhere was nicely decorated. Breakfast was great. Plenty of choice, including local Craster kippers. Friendly staff. Lovely village - we had a walk round while everywhere (including the castle) glowed in the mid-evening sunshine. The church nearby was lovely to visit in the morning, too.

Wifi was poor in the room and also in the public areas. Reception staff also had issues and kept apologising. The bedroom was very small. The room was hot so we had to keep the window open overnight. I had asked for a quiet room but got one facing the main road. Actually, I did manage to fall asleep but it took a while. Rooms at the back might have been near early morning breakfast kitchen noises anyway.

Traditional hotel exactly as depicted on the site with very friendly staff. Situated in the centre of Warkworth close to local pubs/restaurants. Breakfast choice varied and evening meal was very good and substantial (beef pie). Superb pint of Timothy Taylors Landlord in the bar which was well frequented by guests and locals. Warkworth is charming and has a good circular walk along the river and around the castle. Walkworth beach is a superb long stretch of sand backed by dunes and was not busy even on a sunny day

Not an issue for us but internet in the bedroom was slow but worked well downstairs and car park is small but there is plenty of parking in the square or by the river near the church

Pre-booking was straightforward and communication response was efficient and courteous. Very warm welcome on our arrival; staff friendly, accommodating our special requests and everyone, without exception, made us feel most welcome and comfortable. Personal attention at dinner on our first evening was very much appreciated. Our request for an early breakfast was met, including cook-to-order breakfast. Special mention to the waitresses in the dining room whose service, politeness and personal attention all extremely impressive. The decor of our room was fitting with the character of the hotel, and of high standards, with plump, luxurious towels and toiletries. Couldn't fault anything.

The hotel catered for everything we would need for a comfortable stay. Rooms were great tea /coffee making facilities , fridge TV and very large comfortable bed. I was even able to take my dog with me. The hotel provided dog bowls towel and blanket , with some dog treats thrown in to! Staff were helpful and friendly and obviously dog lovers, and Obi , my dog, had a lovely time also! The hotels location is great, in a beautiful setting near a river and the castle. We didn't have to drive far to the coast. Breakfast was amazing with so much choice. There were 2 dining rooms, one for dogs and one for no dogs, which was great for guests. Go to Amble it has the best fish and chip shop!!! Thankyou all for a wonderful relaxing l stay ! 😎

Car parking is difficult at the hotel. However, free parking is just around the corner on market square a 5 min walk to the hotel.

This was one of the best little hotels we have stayed at in years. It really did surpass our expectations in every way from the welcome we were given to the time we checked out. The whole place was clean and fresh smelling with the diffusers spread all around, which were pleasant but not overpowering. Our room was worth the little extra to take it up from a standard room to the one we were given. I loved the mattress but couldn't get the name as I would have loved one like it after a really good night's sleep. The extra bits and pieces; the dressing robes, the toiletries, the Coffee maker all added that special touch. We stayed over for our evening meal rather than try somewhere else and we were not disappointed. Had a lovely meal and bottle of wine to go with it. Breakfast next morning was more than adequate with a list of at least 8 choices, including Craster Kippers as well as the usual bfast cereals juices croissants etc. My only "complaint" was that the meal portions were for both my wife and myself, too copious to manage. As the manageress said, the portions are not for the faint hearted. Overall, a great experience, and a lovely town to visit. Looking forward to our next stay. Thank you to all the lovely staff. I can't remember passing any of them without being greeted with a smile.

No complaints at all!
