The Breakfast was tasty. The bedroom was well decorated and clean with a comfortable bed. A fan was provided which was welcome as it was hot. The bathroom was clean with a good large shower, plenty of toiletries and lovely white fluffy towels.
I would have liked 2 seats in the bedroom, as I don't like sitting on the bed all the time. Although the bedroom was on the small side, I think they could have fitted 2 seats and perhaps a small coffee table under the window. The road was very noisy in the early hours of the morning waking us up, with delivery vans slamming doors etc. then we would just drop back to sleep and the dustbin lorries would arrive. We also thought that the food and drinks were very expensive, we paid just under £100 for 2 main meals, bottle of water, bottle of wine and a glass of lemonade. They also put a 20% service charge on the bill.

Welcoming, cosy, friendly, relaxed. Good location to visit places like Alnwick, Holy Island, various castles. Lovely breakfast. Dinner delicious, but a bit pricey. My gluten free diet was extremely well catered for which I really appreciated.
Difficult to find a parking space, hotel car park only has room for three cars. We spent several evenings after a day out trying to find a space nearby. The hotel is on a one way street, so this meant numerous drives round the block! Not good for the environment or our petrol costs!

Lovely bright rooms, great facilities, majority of staff are wonderful, amazing breakfast, beautiful even meal.
We stayed in room 6, and it was amazing. The only thing is the window led directly onto the joining room, so privacy isn't great when the curtains are open. Also, with the exception of one waitress, who made remarks towards my boyfriend on his birthday, who didn't apologise, made our first night very uncomfortable and truly unforgiving. For what you pay, customer service should be excellent, not left feeling disappointed and upset. However, the manager was exceptional and made sure we were taken care of.

Beautiful room. We loved the fact there was a sofa and side table to sit and relax. The bed was very comfortable. The room was warm and temperature could be adjusted easily. Windows could be opened for fresh air if required. Loved the tray with kettle, cups, glasses, water and biscuits. Much appreciated. Food was excellent in the restaurant and bar staff very friendly and helpful.
Can't fault anything about the hotel. Would go again. Price means it is for special occasions, but it is Alnmouth so we know everywhere is top dollar. Three steps down to the ensuite bathroom were a bit of a pain in the night as we are oldies, but not too bad.

We had already stayed here in May and we had the same room! When we arrived at 11.00am we were a little early and We were ok to put our belongings in a Special cupboard till our room was ready and we had a lovely "light Bite" each Mine was a tuna salad(Which was anything but small As was my husbands scampi and chips which he said was delcious We got our room early and I noticed it wasnt the same room as we had last time and I mentioned it to the breakfast waiteress and She soted the original room that we has before woukd be available on the next morning and we moved on the Sunday morning!! Which we were glad to do! This lady who helped us all week with different things was called Karen and She is a credit to the Hotel and so helpful and friendly! We ate in the restaurant every night and really enjoyed the food which was delicious and varied As was the breakfast With large portions to keep you going all day The decor us modern and tasteful and the bedroom was very good with a large bathroom with fluffy white towels and bathrobes All in all we had a great time and We will go back and stay there again Hopefully in the Autumn as Alnmouth is a beautuful place to stay
Nothing really!! ButCould have done with some net or blinds at the window as there was a house opposite and we had to be careful when getting undressed or out of the shower and entering the room

The most fantastic thing about this hotel is the staff, they are amazingly helpful and so friendly, they really bent over backwards to make our stay memorable. The rooms were cosy , comfortable and very clean. Lovely restaurant with warm comfortable decor. The food was excellent, seasonal, with a varied menu. The breakfasts were beautifully cooked and were adapted to your needs. The location was excellent, on the main street of Alnmouth, a short walk from the most beautiful beach and lovely walks. Alnwick castle was only 3 miles away!
The only thing I didn’t like, and it was only me out of the 4 of us, was that the pillows in the bedroom were quite hard.

All the meals I had were really enjoyable; good choice of menu and portions generous. Perhaps on the pricey side. The staff were helpful and friendly and anxious to help. The location in the middle of the village was very good and whilst my room looked onto the Main Street, noise was not a problem.
Whilst my room was comfortable and nicely decorated, I would have appreciated an armchair (or any chair) instead of lying on the bed.

Beautiful place on high street in lovely Alnmouth. Lovely comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Walk to the beach and golf course Mabel our dog loved it too. Very friendly staff.
We seemed to be allocated a table round the back maybe because we had a dog but it was a bit dark and soulless. Best to ask for a table near the front. Room was quite warm at night after a hot day, luckily there was a fan but not a very long lead on it!

Alnmouth is a nice place. I chose this Hotel by visual memory from last year visit (we did not sleep, just passed by the beach). What a nice and lovely structure. The girls helped me by bringing all the luggage upstairs (I was ashamed, but tired and grateful). Check-in was made in 15 seconds sharp. The restaurant is very good. Breakfast is tasty and served hot in matter of minutes. The room is clean beyond limits, and the biscuits next to the coffee pot are delicious!. Roomy bathroom. Very modern but also traditional looking. An interesting mix, and clearly a choice of the girls running the site.
A little extra shelf for bathroom amenities could be helpful... Given the structure, the stairs are a little tight and vertical, but never uncomfortable.

High quality bed linen and thick comfortable bathrobes. Breakfast was excellent with great service.
Real nit picking now. My wife washed her hair and there was nowhere in the room where she could sit in front of a mirror to dry it. There was a mirror and a pouffe at the table but the mirror was too high up the wall when she sat on the pouffe and if she stood in front on the full length mirror there was no wall plug close enough for the hairdryer flex to reach. Like I said...nit picking but if you want couples to return, the wife needs to be happy.
