The Staff were so helpful and friendly from the moment I arrived. My Room was on the top floor, I had asked for a sea view if possible but had one with an excellent view of the surrounding countryside. The room was clean and spacious and the bathroom was large and fresh. The food choice was wide and there was always a chef's special each evening. The dining room staff were friendly and efficient and didn't make a lone traveler feel conspicuous. Breakfast was excellent and wide choice - recommend the pancakes, If you are into beaches and birdlife this is the place to stay.

Not the Hotel's fault on my last night had a guest in the next room who snored louder than the wind and rain blowing through the village, so didn't get a wink of sleep so got up to walk along the beach and village as sleep wasn't going to happen.

Breakfast superb; location fantastic; separate restaurant to rear of hotel with a really good menu. The hotel bar is open until 1.00am on Saturday nights and used by locals. There is some noise, but generally considerate and rooms are double glazed - with windows shut you hear nothing. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, free on-street parking.

In an ideal world, you would have a bar that was open as long as you wanted it, and then closed and silent as soon as you left. There has to be some compromise and we got the impression that the hotel was a hub for the local community which was lovely to be a part of.

The stairs. No mention is made of the stairs up which you have to carry your bags. Very uneven as well which made it very difficult for my wife who walks with a crutch. Whilst I understand not every facility can have a lift it should be clearly stated on the website that there is a need to climb stairs. A response to a previous mention of this issue was "Ask for a first floor room" how would you know to ask for this at the time of booking if it is not mentioned about stairs?

Not a new hotel, but room was fine with a recently refurbished bathroom. Food was excellent. Inclusive breakfasts very good as were dinners we had in their dining room during our stay. Location was good for visiting close-by old fishing villages which have a charm of their own. Also visited Troupe Head to see largest mainland Gannet colony in UK. Quite a sight. All staff friendly and obliging which makes for a positive experience.

Location is in Rosehearty, which is close to Fraserburgh. This was not a problem for us but if you have to be in Fraserburgh you need to know this. My wife found the bed, which was clearly very recent, to be a bit firm but that is down to personal preference.

Nice, friendly, helpful staff in hotel, bar and restaurant Great choice and good quality breakfast. The restaurant for evening meal was great, Fraserburgh haddock was the freshest I've ever tasted. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Facilities were standard, hairdryer, TV, kettle etc.

Only one negative point (which the hotel can't control) was access to the top floor rooms is via steep, narrow stairs, maybe next time we will request rooms on lower floor.

Great hotel, the food was amazing cooked by owner David, whom is a fantastic chef. It was great to Share a drink later with Sharon an David and have a bit of banter with the locals. The hotel facilities at that of a small hotel, there is no swimming pool or gym, as its not that type of hotel, so having it marked on facilities is unfair, hence why i gave it a top score.

The staff were sooh friendly the room was spotless. The food was amazing. Honestly don't judge by the outside it just looks like a pub but omg it's like a tardis amazing facilities beer garden.lounge bar and huge restaurant/ function suite. The pub was bouncing with locals which shows its very popular. Im really pleased we found this gem. The pub was open to 1am can Honestly say didn't hear a thing when it emptied and we were just above it.

Comfortable and modern room, good facilities and good breakfast menu. Evening meal in restaurant was also ok/value Courteous service. Street parking outside was no problem Pleasant location /short walk to harbour. Overall good value for money and pleasant stay

Our room was unfortunately above public bar and being a warm Saturday night was noisy in evening but tolerable.

This was a little gem we discovered on our tour of Scotland. Excellent price, food, staff, cleanliness and clientele. Plentiful portions for evening meals and breakfast. Good comfy bed and very clean and welcoming room. Lovely staff ensured a great stay, and hopefully a future return visit. Highly recommended. Every other guest we saw had very happy faces, too. Just go for it !

The breakfast was very good and we both enjoyed was what served. In particular we noticed the professional and unflustered way in which the Polish Waitress serviced all the tables on her own.

The stay did get off to a bad start as Booking.Com instructions clearly showed that it was located in The Square, Peterhread when in fact it is in the village of Rosehearty, 4 miles away. This didn't make a great deal of difference to us but it could to other guests especially if they were using public transport. We got over that and the stay was just great.
