The hotel has had a renovation since we last visited prior to covid . The room was excellent it was a large accessible room with nice large bed (bigger than previous visits) and the shower room was perfect. If the fold down seat had had legs it would have been even better. But the whole room was immaculate. Very close to parking and reception/bar etc and on ground floor so totally accessible. The staff were very nice and helpful. We would def go back for the room but might not book breakfast

The light switch for the bathroom was behind the door(next to hinges not changed in renovation) so had to go past the door to turn light on then go back to open the door bit awkward at night. The breakfast was very nice lots of very different choices - steak or smoked salmon/avocado or cooked breakfast, and served but surprisingly (since our previous visit prior to covid)no cereal was on offer . Coffee/tea and juices and water were help yourself (this again different from prior to covid when had pot of tea or coffee fresh when ready on the table)

I had a single room which was very roomy compared to other single rooms I have stayed in. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. I only had breakfast one morning but the vegetarian cooked breakfast was delicious. And the waitress serving breakfast was lovely.

I was staying for 3 nights and couldn't understand why they changed the towels after one night and then I requested they leave them, as it is so environmentally unfriendly to wash perfectly clean towels. They were stingy with the toilet paper and when I asked for another roll it didn't appear. So I ended up asking the cleaner who was cleaning the restaurant late on the Saturday night who got me another roll.

Room was cosy, but clean and had everything you'd expect. Lovely modern bathroom. Was absolutely roasting hot but having the window open and fan on didn't make much difference. Other than that, pleasant. Location was ideal for what we wanted, train station just round the corner straight into picadilly. The staff all friendly and food was lovely when we ate on our 1st night.

The stairs to get up to the room on the top floor we're very steep, would of been a struggle/ pretty dangerous to carry anything bigger up the stairs. The hallway on the top floor smelled quite horrible too, can only imagine it was from the restaurant downstairs. The smell wasn't in the bedroom though, so we only noticed when we were going to/ from the room

From booking the hotel to leaving this morning, Paige and team were so attentive, we stayed as it was my partners birthday, I spoke to the venue to let them know I had ordered some balloons to be delivered which they placed perfectly in the room with a bottle of Prosecco as requested. We also dined with Miller and Carter and the steaks were cooked to perfection! The peppercorn sauce was a little cold but this is not a negative due to me telling a member of staff and receiving a fresh one within a couple of minutes. On behalf of myself and my partner I would like to say a massive thank you for making us feel so welcome, extra kudos to Paige and our waitress that served us whilst dining.

There is nothing that I can say that we didn’t enjoy!

The room was a good size, neither too big or small. The shower was good. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were helpful & friendly. Linda, one of the waitresses in the restaurant was lovely - very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.

The windows were quite hard to open & close, mainly due to one of them being damaged. There are no safes either in the room or the office - as I was travelling with a laptop, I would have felt better knowing that was safe & secure when leaving the hotel for the event we travelled up for. I understand it may not be possible to have one in every room, but was surprised to be told there wasn't one available anywhere ion the premises.

Nice room, good bed and shower, fresh towels provided and housekeeping come in room daily and make bed and empty bins, also knock at door at reasonable time if you're in and ask if you need anything. Ironing board and iron provided also tea/coffee and kettle. Window on a safety device but opens on a latch, vital in the hot weather. Upper floors only accessible via stairs as no lift, not a problem for me as familiar with hotel. I have stayed in accessable room downstairs on a previous visit, very big room and very nice, as one on the latest visit.

Nothing, good hotel

Really lovely place. Room felt classy but homely. Food in restaurant was superb. It cost a bit, but you get what you pay for, for sure. Key fob entry for security, with standard key for the room. Nice bed. Friendly staff. Bus stop right outside straight into city centre. 2 train stations nearby. Uber for late at night close enough to be cheap.

Definitely could have used a little mini fridge and possibly a safe. I managed to lock myself out one morning and there was no way of contacting anyone to get back in, but luckily someone Setting up saw me and let me in. My own fault really for having a brain like a sieve, but possibly a buzzer on their door would help. Picking holes though really. It was all great.

Love the high ceilings, room was lovely. The fact Miller and Carter was downstairs was brilliant.

Whilst getting out of the shower I brushed past the radiator and burnt myself as did my husband. Also batteries in the remote control had run out, got some batteries from a chef and then we had to dig out a multi tool to change the batteries as there was a tiny screw keeping the case on. Not a big deal in the scheme of things. But after the long day we had.. we could of done without the faff. No one on check out to report radiator burn to.

Beds very comfortable, nice bathroom. Very friendly people. Very good bus connection into the city centre. Good place to be when your aircraft goes early in the next morning. Had to bring two heavy suitcases into the second floor but friendly staff helped us.

Towl grid in the bathroom and a few power outlets near the room entrance didn't work. Staff was very helpful and looked after it and even exchanged fuse but still wouldnt work. Would have been nice to dry a few wet cloths. But didn't really matter.

I was impressed with everything. The staff were very accommodating to my individual needs. I plan on staying there again in October 2023. Big thank you to all. Very happy customer who would highly recommend this place to stay.

Ok, just one small issue. I am a teacher and I had to teach my Thai students online and I found that the wifi was a problem with a remote 02 generic log in. It was'nt a major issue as I had my phone as a back up. My laptop had issues connecting but my phone was ok. All good!
