The room was large and well appointed, this was a twin room equipped for disabled guests, and was in a small courtyard with four other rooms. The location , just off the A12, was ideal for visiting Southwold, Aldeburgh, Walberswick, local National trust sites and nearby market towns such as Beccles and Bungay. The staff were friendly and the service was very good. The cooked breakfasts were well presented and a good selection was available.

Whilst the cooked breakfasts were very good there was no continental option other than cereal, toast, fruit and yoghurt which for people who do not like a cooked breakfast made the selection somewhat limited.

The room was huge, with a separate porch entrance and completely separate bathroom area. It was comfortable and clean. The most outstanding part of the stay was breakfast. It is one of the best English Breakfasts we've ever had. We didn't spend much time in the pub (other than breakfast) but it looked so cosy, well looked after, with a lot of pride in local produce. We stayed for a wedding at Henham Barns (just down the road) but we often visit Southwold which it is also ideally located for. It is dog friendly and child friendly so we will definitely be back with our little one and our dog for a trip to Southwold.

Ensure that you let them know if you need to check-in after 10pm (like we did). Booking.com was not clear regarding this. If you do, they will send you the details you need to access your room after 10pm.

Great location, just a short drive from Southwold. Affordable stay in a large room which was big enough for a family of four. Despite being on a main road, the room was quiet. We dined at the pub on our first evening and thoroughly enjoyed the homemade pizza. The breakfast menu is somewhat limited but the staff were very accommodating with special requests. The breakfast itself was good but I think a self serve continental would be a nice addition. The kids loved the outdoor play area. Overall it was a good stay and we would stay here again.

The accommodation is a little tired, but given its close proximity to Southwold I think the price is fair. If I was being super fussy, a mini fridge in the room would have been a nice touch.

Breakfast was lovely and filling! Staff were very accommodating and went above and beyond. Room was cozy and large. When the windows were open it was lovely to hear the birds. Room was lovely and quiet at night. Lovely amount of tea, coffee and refreshments in the room. The sofa was lovely and there was plenty of storage. We had a little hall way and this would have been great if the weather was wet as it had plenty of spaces for boots and wet coats without them getting in the way.

Bed was a little on the small side. The venue was not greatly lit at night and could easily drive past without noticing if you hadn't been there before.

Accommodation is clean, large, (room 1) choice of bath and shower, plenty of tea/coffee, polite helpful staff, good choice of bar drinks available, our food was excellent which is all made on premises and was cooked perfectly. Huge parking area, excellent beer garden,. Good location as visiting Southwold next day. Would definitely stay again.

Bed comfortable but be better with a king size bed, plenty of room. Close to busy A12, although less busy at night can be noisy but didn't disturb sleep and knew this at point of booking.

Excellent size room and Bathroom all the facilities tea/coffee toiletries etc (lovely biscuits!) comfortable beds spotlessly clean, super fluffy towels and superb breakfast very welcoming staff.

Nothing we didn’t like but did need to ask for the heating to go on upon arrival, as it’s controlled from the main building not independently in each room. They did it immediately we asked and was as cosy as after that our stay was in January!

We wanted to stay in the area for a walk and talk the next day and knew where the Plough was and it suited our requirements. Room No 1 was separate to the main building and was clean, well furnished and well equipped. The bathroom in particular was excellent - one of the best showers I have ever used. The breakfast menu was good and the staff welcoming. We were only staying for one night, but it worked out very well for us.

I can't remember if I said what time we were likely to arrive but I knew it would be approx 9.30 p.m. as we were attending a talk in Gt Yarmouth beforehand and it would take approx 45 minutes to reach Wangford. I was therefore rather surprised when we arrived at c 9:40 p.m. to be told the bar shut at 10 pm and there would be no staff available to take us to our room had we appeared later than 10 p.m. It would have been pretty disastrous for us had we been held up en route. It might be useful for the Plough to emphasise latest check in time perhaps? The staff had tried several times to reach my via mobile phone to see if we were on our way, but it was on silent as I was in a talk. Can see I should have checked it en route.

Really friendly staff on arrival and during our stay. Room was a ground floor annex room that was huge - easy access with a hallway in which to store our bikes and wet clothing and massive bedroom with comfortable bed, large sitting area and very large bathroom with bath and shower. Good toiletries and no shortage of hot water. Bar/pub area is good with a range of real ales.

Breakfast was ok but could have been better. I think they had run out of a few things, but it was very busy and I think we were the last ones in (but way before the advertised closing time.

Super clean large bedroom, really nicely decorated with high quality furnishings. Great bedding and curtains. We had a lovely sofa and big screen tv. The towels were soft and plush and there were nice scented toiletries in the bathroom. We had a pizza for dinner and it was very good. The staff were so helpful and kind. I can’t recommend The Plough highly enough.

We liked the spacious room. The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay. Our dog was welcome in the restaurant at breakfast time. It was one of the best cooked breakfasts we’ve ever had while away.

The duvets were very hot! Heavy duvets in a warm room are too much for me, I needed a cooler option! There was also a damp smell in the bathroom even though it was clean.
