To Start, I think one of the most important things when arriving at a hotel is to be greeted with a smile. The smiles came in abundance on arrival at Stratton's. The biggest smile was on my face when I was delighted to hear that I had been upgraded to 'Print 2', a beautiful refurbished print works adjacent to the main hotel building which turned out to be an apartment. Not just an apartment but decorated with such creative style by mixing old and new, with literally everything you can ever need. Oh, I do have to mention, the bathroom floor was pebbles, I mean, it was like walking on a beach, and only glass separated the bath from the bedroom so you could enter it from either side.....Breakfast was vegetarian as requested, and yummy, and all the facilities were there too, 'Real Coffee", milk, fruit, and a yummy cake to enjoy in the evening, and not forgetting lastly, chilled water in the fridge...the list goes on..Can you tell I loved this place. Got to add, the main hotel building is the most beautiful building, and a lot larger that the photo's gave credit, and equally delightfully decorated in the most imaginative way, and it is set in the most beautiful landscaped garden, a mini oasis of calm in the middle of Swaffham..I shall definitely return, and for longer. Love!!!

We wanted someplace in the centre of Swaffham and Strattons is certainly that. We did not stay in the main house but in Cocoes 1, one of the buildings off the main courtyard. Our room was large, beautifully decorated, had a huge comfortable bed and a double ended freestanding bath. There is no bar or restaurant at Strattons but plenty options within easy walking distance. There is a small fridge in the room and you are supplied with milk, water, bagels, pastries, yoghurt, and fruit for breakfast. Tea and coffee are also supplied.

Excellent location. Very quiet but a couple of minutes from town. Private parking. No restaurant, but owner provides packed breakfast. Owner kindly put us in an upgraded room as our original room would have been too hot in the sunny weather. Well appointed room, comfortable bed etc. No complaints.

A restaurant for breakfast would have been welcome, but the owners did their best to provide a reasonable alternative. There's a Costa five minutes away as well.

You must go visit if only for the restaurant, the cooking is wonderful - a real gem with innovative cooking and a lovely wine list. Our room (The Stalls) was a bit quirky and probably not to everyone's taste but we liked it and it has a spacious sitting room so good for longer stays. Overall really lovely place to stay and you'd never know it was there, tucked away behind the high street in a quiet courtyard garden.

The bathroom was weird with a fully tiled bath more like a horse trough and the tiled floor was freezing first thing in the morning. Swaffham is a bit disappointing, not the cute market town we were expecting but that's not the hotel's fault and it's well placed for exploring the coast and surrounding villages which are super pretty.

Unfortunately I arrived quite late in the evening due to work, I would have liked to have had longer to enjoy my beautiful room! Although I arrived late, the owners were there to greet me and helped me carry my suitcase up. I'd had a long journey and no chance to eat, there was a delicious tomato and mozzarella wrap waiting for me amongst a few other bits and a chocolate pastry! Such a lovley touch. Rooms were beautifully decorated... Next time I am in the area I will definitely stay again.

Absolutely amazing breakfasts, choice of food was exceptional! The quality of the ingredients was excellent all locally sourced and so flavoursome and fresh. Cooked to perfection and served beautifully by two lovely team members, nothing was too much trouble, we absolutely loved it, thank you so much. CoeCoes coffee shop and restaurant is just so good, worth a visit even if you are just passing through Swaffam! The evening meal at Afterfive eatery completely blew us away, again a well thought out menu, something for absolutely everyone, one of the very best meals we have ever had and so beautifully presented and served, again nothing too much trouble. Locally sourced ingredients all so fresh and tasty, cooked to perfection! The hotel is a jewel in the crown, almost hidden away from the main road, when you drive into the Ash Close you do wonder where you are, then in front of you in the beautiful Strattons Hotel, set in lovely tree lined gardens beautifully laid out with garden future in hedge framed alcoves. The House that is Strattons Hotel is stunning inside and out, the décor is just WOW! You have to go see just to believe it, so tastefully and thoughtfully designed. We want to tell all our friends about our amazing find, but also keep it to ourselves :-)

Absolutely nothing, just keep doing what you are doing it an amazing place!

I have been coming to Strattons for many years, and while the restaurant and courtyard cafe have closed for want of staff it still is a great experience for those who want a comfortable base to explore the surrounding area. It does seems as if the present owners since 1990 will be selling up so go while it is still in their hands.

It is hardly worth mentioning anything...all good!

Breakfast was not advertised, so we were not expecting it as the restaurant had to close post pandemic due to staff shortages, so when a delightful and ample continental breakfast was delivered to our suite we were thrilled! The room was also beautifully furnished and full of character. The host and hostess lovely welcoming as well as generous.

Sad that the restaurant is no longer there, but the rooms are still exceptional.

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, this hotel is an absolutely delight from the tranquil gardens to the funky interiors. I loved it

Nothing I didn’t like. Air con would have been good but the unsightly units would have ruined the aesthetic. maybe nice toiletries in the bathrooms would have been nice. The plastic pump with shampoo/body wash was a bit premier inn. The milk in bottles in the mini bar was a nice vintage touch. maybe some complementary biscuits would have been nice.

We stayed in the Stalls - spacious lovely décor everything needed for our short stay. Surrounding estate stunning well kept garden and court yard. Amazing hosts. All local amenities within walking distance. Perfect base for exploring The blend of quirky decor and original beams makes this a stunning place to stay.
