It is conveniently located for visiting nearby Newby Hall and the Harrogate Autumn Flower Show. The chef was able to cater for my severe food allergies and adapt menu dishes to suit. The food was flavoursome and well presented. Staff were friendly and helpful. Apart from very soft pillows, the room was very comfortable and clean, with tea/coffee facilities. Wifi access code was clearly available, and the signal strength was good for my needs. As a solo traveller, I felt very safe.

I'm used to sleeping on a firm pillow, so If I'd known in advance that the pillows in my room were soft featherdown ones, I would have taken my own ... though to be fair to the hotel, I didn't think to ask at the time if firmer ones were available.

The staff I spoke to were all brilliant and exceptionally friendly. The food was incredible (Beef & Chorizo Lasagna, The Kings Arms Mars Cheesecake and also the included fried breakfast 🤤). The location is quiet and away from tlany main roads. I had a chat with the owner, and he is an absolute gentleman. I booked this location to stay in whilst taking part in a very long cycle event. The owner offered me exclusive use of a spare room to store my bike freeing up space in my own room. I've never received such brilliant service and genuine friendliness. Should I ever take part in the bike event again, I will happily return!!

Our rooms were very clean and well furnished. The bathrooms were to an exceptional standard. We chose not to have breakfast - we are not cooked breakfast people, but we would have if the options had been a selection of granolas, croissant, greek yoghurt, fruit, cheese, omelette, pancakes etc (Or perhaps these were available if you ordered a cooked breakfast) We would be happy to stay again and to recommend

My room (5) had a repetitive noise, sounded like something to do with water. It did not disturb my sleep.

This was a second visit to The Kings Arms and apart from some more bedrooms since 2017 it was a expected. All the staff made us very welcome on both occasions on journeys to and from Scotland. Travelled in an open topped sportscar with suitcases strapped to the luggage rack, so parked in the front under CCTV camera. Dinner menu was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed our evening meals. Excellent breakfasts too. Easy place for a stopover on journey north as not far from the A1M and easy to find.

If you had the cooked breakfast if was very good and good value. The dinner was very good and the staff were busy, friendly and efficient; The choice of cereal was very poor.

The car park is only just big enough if the hotel is fully booked' The food was good, the room was clean and comfortable I think it is slightly overpriced

Good location for exploring. Food was very good, had a few evening meals which were very tasty, Breakfast was excellent, always cooked well. Good sized bedroom, comfy bed, very clean. Tea and coffee facilities which were topped up daily . Good WIFI connection. Staff friendly and accomodating. Plenty of parking spaces available.

Road Noise in mornings, to be expected given the location.

Rooms over a busy but not at all noisy old pub. Very friendly hosts. Rooms comfortable. Breakfast very good.

Parking could be awkward if pub itself busy. Rooms hot - easily managed though by opening window, but then on a minor A-road so some car noise. No large bath/shower towels available. Breakfast choices limited - but well cooked.

Stayed here two nights and was so impressed. All the staff led by James were friendly and very efficient. Dinner on both evenings was excellent as was breakfast on both mornings. Bedrooms/bathrooms were spotlessly clean. I stay in many hotels in the UK and abroad and overall the King's Arms proved exceptional.

A bit of noise from early morning traffic but to be expected in a pub/hotel in an accessible location

Breakfast was good value - I ate in the restaurant in the evening - battered haddock was good but chips were rather overcooked and unappetising - what a shame

I've stayed here several times before and ensuite facilities were excellent but this time there was only loo, sink and a bath - beware Room Number 5 if you prefer a shower!!

I loved the room I was in (room 3) it had a large very comfortable bed, large tv, coffee and tea stuff and a really nice bathroom with just the best shower ever, every thing was spotlessly clean and I hope to be back there very soon.

I just loved how close it was to where I had to be the next morning, sadly I was a bit late at arriving the night before so didn't get a chance to try the food or have a beer from the bar.
