Breakfast Disapointing Really. Couldn't order, take it or leave it, they were cooking pancakes and sausage, if that's not what we wanted to bad, and it was pretty marginal, Pancakes very Well done, sausage pretty bland. Way to much stuff in the rooms, felt like it would have been pretty easy to forget or leave something behind due to all the extra pillows and stuff they had in there, I realize it was an effort to make it look "Quaint" just really not necessary. Need better window coverings went to bed in the daylight woke up in the daylight, probably should have stacked windows full of pillows :)

Historic Skagway Inn is most noteworthy for its history and decor. Originally a brothel, the rooms are named for the women who worked there. The owner has made an admirable record to provide a modern level of accommodation comfort while preserving the historic aspect of the building. As such, this was a most enjoyable stay.

The bistro was not open when I was there, due to short staff at the end of the season. Skagway is now a 'cruise ship town' so I hardly blame management, as many other dining establishments were closed for the season.

i hadn't known the buildings history which was a delight. all employees went into action to try and assist with checking in when front desk staff was otherwise unavailable. great people watching sitting in nook looking out on street during the complimentary breakfast (cash tip!). employing foreign workers! parking was easy!

skagway tourism should do a town map that businesses could offer to their customers, and if one exists i'd hope they'd be offered at this accommodation.

The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming and the inn is just so cute! We loved our experience there! The room was super cozy and pretty, as well as super clean. Great location too! And we were happy that breakfast was included. Bonus points for the garden!

The two minor things I would say are that the room wasn't well isolated we heart the wind and people out in the hallway a lot, and that as flexible vegans at home (we are vegetarian at times), we would have appreciated an alternative to bacon (and eggs) in both breakfasts. Having plant-based milk available for coffee and tea would have been amazing! We do recognize, though, that offering breakfast is an additional task for the staff and we really appreciate it. Vegan pancakes, granola bars, scrambled tofu/beans/fake eggs, cereals, vegan muffins are all alternatives to be explored in the future. Again, amazing staff and stay!

First day breakfast was good, the pancakes on the second morning were inedible. Bacon and juice.

Our pick up from the ferry forgot about us but was only a 20 minute delay. But the owner took us back to the ferry terminal in a timely manner. We ate dinner in the restaurant attached to the hotel ( possibly not the same owner) the waiter made us feel very hurried so he could be out of there by 8:00 pm (when they close)

The location in proximity to the town was great! The staff is friendly and the bedroom is cute and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and I loved the robe they included in the room

The breakfast provided was lackluster for the cost of the stay. A single small cup of juice, watered down coffee, the toast was incredibly dry and tasteless. The eggs were fine tasting but the portion size was a little small, and I say this as a 125lb 5'2 woman.

Staff was wonderful, friendly, and accommodating!! Because they were not full, they gave us a free upgrade! The Inn, hallways, and rooms had character!

Since it’s “historic” some of the rooms (and the in suite) were tiny! We actually had some difficulty regulating the temperature in our room and lighting was poor for reading. A little expensive for what we got, but in line with other places in SE Alaska.

We like staying in historic and unusual places. This was the first time we stayed in a former bordello! We were picked up and dropped back at the ferry. That was convenient and the owner gave us an introduction to the town history along the way. A special breakfast was provided each morning. Though expensive to stay, all of Alaska is. We would definitely stay again

It was expensive to stay there, but everywhere in Alaska is, and they do go the extra mile with breakfast in a charming setting.

Lovely, unique, historic, centrally located inn. The owners were friendly, interesting, helpful and an excellent resource for local info. The staff were all great too. The rooms are all unique. The breakfast provided was excellent each of the 5 days we stayed. We had a late lunch of Seafood linguine one day from their very diverse menu and it was fantastic. We felt very fortunate to have such a wonderful place to stay right in the middle of town. We felt very welcome our entire stay!

Not a single thing.

Loved this place! The rooms are named after the women who worked at this one time brothel during the gold rush. The inn keeper was super accommodating letting us check in early and leave our bags after checking out in line with the ferry schedule. The inn is several blocks from the ferry terminal but it was an easy walk down the primary street in town. Breakfast was served promptly at 7am for those needing an early start allowing plenty of time for guests with 8am tours to get to their destinations
