I stayed at Rose’s Oyo a year ago and fell in love with the hotel, the staff and the beautiful patio they have for little family BBQ’s. I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to where I lay my head to sleep. I can tell you I would recommend Rose’s to ANYONE! Shelley and Scott are wonderful people so incredibly friendly and helpful. This year we came back and we stayed here for 5 nights in room 121 with the massage chair and the rooms had been upgraded and are absolutely beautiful. The massage chair was an added bonus after working all day. Came back to the room to a nice massage. To the people in previous reviews complaining about the little black bugs have you ever been to the desert during monsoon season? Well, every year in Arizona during monsoon season we have an influx of a new bug that always seem to be impossible to kill and Rose’s does their best to keep them out! I was here in August and saw maybe 5 sea beetles outside but everything else at Rose’s was immaculate. I could go on and on about how much I love this wonderful little hotel! I will definitely be staying here everytime im in the area! And will ALWAYS HIGHLY RECOMMEND Rose’s to anyone passing through! Thank you for the wonderful experience Shelley and Scott!

There was nothing I didn’t like

This is an older motel, but it's really well maintained, and I think they're slowly renovating, room by room. REALLY renovating. For example, the shower and carpet in our first room looked brand new. Most of the other furnishings and appliances were also quite new. All the rooms are decorated differently, which makes it feel much more homey and interesting. We decided to stay an extra night, and the very helpful and friendly staff made it work--and didn't charge the extra night at a higher rate, which some motels have done in the past. We did have to change rooms, but that let us see how unique each one is (one had a faux fireplace!) There are microwaves and good fridges, but not coffee machines (which didn't bother me but might be very important to some people). There's also a little patio. Overall, a very pleasant place to stay and a good value. We used it as a base to visit Chiracahua National Monument, and it didn't disappoint.

The ice machine was broken, but you could bring the ice bucket and the staff would fill it for you. I felt bad disturbing them several times during our stay, but they were very nice about it. Some places would have just said, "Too bad. No ice." In one of our rooms, the beds were quite hard, but in the other they were super comfy, so that will depend on which room you get.

No breakfast. Location was perfect! No outside traffic noises. Thas was a big deal considering the i-10 bridge was shut down and they rerouted traffic off on this strip. Despite the high influx of semi's, we didnt hear a thing in our room.

There really wasn't anything we didnt like about this. We didn't expect it to have breakfast. Other than that, this place exceeded my expectations. It reminded me of our Blue Bird motel in Aurora MO that i lived in for a short while. The bonus of Rose's, was NO bugs, needles, or sticky carpet.

this was a great stay!!! warm welcome, easy check in, easy parking, super clean, large and well-furnished room, easy check out. is clear they pay a lot of attention to the small details that make such a difference to travelers - well kept single story property, microwave, fridge (well disguised in the dresser), paper towels, comfortable quality bedding and towels, naming the rooms, and neat decorative touches such as a shell filled table in the room i was in. also appreciated that they utilize effective, low impact outdoor lighting so you can easily find your way around but also can enjoy the amazing night skies. as a birder, the location provided super easy access to lake cochise and the twin lakes course. enjoyed my stay, and will be back : )

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Had issues with hot water but the staff checked in to make sure everything was okay. The room was clean and comfortable. There's a back patio area that had tables/BBQ grills where you can see the stars at night. Very romantic.

Hot water takes a while to heat up and come to the room (~5 minutes). Showerhead probably had build-up because the water stream was really weak. Staff was really helpful to try to get the water going.

The front desk person, Shelly, was so AMAZING! She gave me recommendations for dinner and greeted me with a smile and nice conversation. My room was clean, nothing fancy, but I felt safe and comfortable. Very close to the Chiricahua National Monument!

It is a very old motel, but for the price it is decent. The room is super small, but once again, for the price I cant complain! This is a very very simple place to stay, and I enjoyed it for what it was. It was a safe place to sleep.

Linen and towels fresh. Room was very clean. Staff I met was friendly. Bed was comfortable. I felt safe. I would stay there again. Note: If you are a light sleeper, the train may bug you. It did not bug me.

These are not dislikes. These are recommendations. Remove the carpet and replace with wood/vinyl as that is easier to clean, and carpet gets worn and dingy overtime. Also fix the gap in the door. It is a little too wide.

You could see that they had taken a simple motel and had added some personal touches to make it nicer and it felt like you were staying at a family owned place. Scott was very welcoming and helpful. He also had a great recommendation for a Mexican restaurant (La Tortilleria la Unica - which we would also recommend - especially the Cadillac margaritas). The center of town is 1 mile down the road (though it didn't seem that far) and we were able to walk into town for wine tastings and dinner. There is also a Dairy Queen nearby.

The carpet in our room was a bit stained.

First of all, Shelly is awesome. I was greeted promptly and with a smile. I felt welcomed right away! She also recommended an awesome Mexican restaurant down the street. The room was perfect for a quick overnight stay. Clean, comfy and the ac worked great. I liked the laminated note on the table. Pretty enjoyable when places use humor in their communication. Each room has its own “name” quick is pretty cool. Which one will you get? All in all the most important part for me was that the entire process, from checking in, getting to the room, and checking out, was very easy and pleasant. 10/10 would do again.

If you are looking for a country feeling, cozy place to rest your head, this is the place for you! 1st I was tickled pink when I got an actual key instead of a card and we stayed in Rose's room! There were tables and chairs outside! The staff goes up and beyond!!!! We needed some extra items and didn't have to wait more than just a couple minutes before there was a knock on the door!! And then my son left his birthday gift in the hotel room when we left, they helped his gift get back home for him!!! Like I said up and beyond, which is not something you dont find much these days! I would love to go back someday!!! ❤

It's a small town, so beware places close early and I like sink into kind of beds, so they were a little firmer than my choice preference but still comfy!
