the location could not be better. only steps from the beach, we’re able to walk to wonderful little Italian place and it was an easy drive to our cruise ship the next day.

Its not that we didn’t like things but be aware, they are obviously fixing the place up. Its a work in progress but its clean and the room we were in was very large with nice beds and a fresh coat of paint. Water was incredibly slow to warm up in the shower. This is likely because of the low flow requirements in CA. The man running the place was very odd and sarcastic which wasn’t inviting but he was harmless. There are only maybe 10 parking spots for the hotel. The additional parking was on the green belt between the hotel and beach front homes which were completely full. We got lucky and had a hotel spot but some guests had to park blocks away.

It was a very cute, small hotel, which I loved. It was a quick walk to the beach and they had beach gear that you could borrow…. So cool. Everyone on staff was extremely nice and helpful. And the rooftop deck was a great little bonus!

We unfortunately stayed in the room right under the rooftop deck. Yes, it was convenient to get up there, but we were woken up before 7:00 two of the mornings we were there because people were moving around the furniture on the deck. Other than that, maybe a couple more breakfast items would have been nice.

We were really happy with the staff, they were very kind and helpful. We loved having a balcony. The bed was super comfy. We loved that there were "quiet hours" and because of this we slept great both nights! The beach was literally a hop, skip and a jump away. We didn't have time to get to it because of other plans, but the ocean breeze was amazing.

We were in room 211 and it was very difficult to lock the sliding glass door. This worried us for our belongings. Also, the extra security lock on our hotel door was broken. Both of these should be fixed. The balcony could've been a bit more clean as there was grime on the chairs and table.

The property was conveniently located just a few steps from the beach and a variety of restaurants within walking distance. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. Our room was surprisingly quiet despite facing the green belt full of cars, people, and traffic. The front desk staff was kind & friendly.

Parking in the garage was tight for a midsize vehicle. The shower curtain rod was loose so the curtain kept sliding open on both sides. I tried to push it up to hold the curtain but it kept rotating back down. The air conditioning unit was quite loud.

Perfect location.he beach was located right behind and across a small street from the hotel and a bonus was the beach equipment offered for no extra charge Very nice and friendly staff. Sean the manager was so welcoming and always available Simple but fine breakfast choices that we could eat on the roof deck or outside courtyard tables

There was no maid service the first two days our stay. Needed to ask the maid for towels on morning of day 2. When we returned on the evening of day 2, there were new towels and the trash cans were cleared. No bed making by housekeeping staff. This did not upset us or negatively affect our stay but something that others should be aware of if they expect daily housekeeping services

The moment we pulled into the parking garage, I noticed how clean it was! And that there was a bathroom. Having traveled so far I got out to use it. Bit it was key card.locked. the kind gentleman cleaning and stocking the vending machine let me in to use it. By the time I went to check in, that same nice fella was there to greet and check me in. Which was a simple, easy process. Lobby and entire property was very clean, and beautiful! And THE ROOM!!! SO BEAUTIFUL & PERFECT! One night wasn't nearly enough! We had a ocean view with a balcony, with a cute little table and 2 chairs. And a huge jacuzzi tub! This was the nicest place I've ever stayed! My husband and I cannot wait to go back! Next time for at least a few days! The room and bathroom were very clean, fresh, inviting, and comfortable! Especially that bed! Like sleeping on a cloud! Perfect! Thank you Ocean surf! We'll see you again! Oh! And we saw how Sunset Beach got its name! Breathtaking!

Nothing! Honestly the stay was amazing! I can't think of anything that needed help or changed.

The Hotel has a great location close to the beach. They have done alot of updating to the facility so everything is super clean and fresh.. The rooftop lounge was a great place to have breakfast or watch the sunset. The entire staff was welcoming and helpful. The manager Shaun was a pleasure. This is definitely my top favorite new places to stay when in the area.

The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't stay longer. I would recommend this hotel without any hesitations.

Loved all the decor...in my room it was spacious, nicely decorated....comfortable bed and other furniture....nice bathroom ...very clean!!! Good lighting!! Super comfortable and quiet!!! and the rooftop lounge chairs...beautiful place!!! Love the Ocean Surf Inn.....I'm relocating from NoCal to SoCal Southern California and will definitely stay here again very soon!!! Thank you so much Sean!!!!

Wish I could have stayed here forever!!!

Adorable inn that is literally a 30 second walk to the beach. We walked over there with a blanket to eat our dinner. My kids loved the free hot chocolate in the main entrance. Breakfast was good with fresh pancakes, plus cereal, fruit, and more. There are tables and chairs set up outside but it was raining the next morning so we couldn't eat outside. Bummer! Overall, a lovely, quiet inn that is very convenient if your kids just want to hang out at the beach.

We should have stayed longer. Next time!

staff very good and engaging. The room was large and very adequate, location to a few bars and restaurants good and underneath car parking which was great if used courteously by others would be fine.

only the fact that parking was tight in places and if used well by others would be fine - I think it should be checked and anyone parking in a way to block two spaces should be told - so registering number plates should be taken and controlled better - aside from this it was good thank you.
