very good location

the valet fees per day were exceptionally high and should be stated clearly in the description. Also, a $75 charge in advance for “potential damage” to the room, is not standard at any hotel. it is refunded “within 14 days”.

The beds were comfortable and the room appeared to be clean. The complimentary happy hour wine in the lobby was nice. Bartender at West, the restaurant, was nice and the food was good.

We didn’t like that you can see the bathroom door as there is a frosted glass window right next to the toilet. So while the sink may be separate there was no adequate privacy door. There were also no robes as described. Also there was only 1 elevator working all weekend so it took forever during peak hours. Balcony was 405 facing so it was noisy even at night

Beautiful room! Upgraded thanks to Booking.com. Nice free amenities (coffee & toiletries).

Valet parking is compulsory and pricy ($40/day). So that’s at least a couple hundred extra for the stay.

loved the pool, location, views, circle building, and balcony. they upgraded us to a killer view king and it was totally a killer view.

didn’t love the $40 valet everyday. there is zero street or neighborhood parking so you will have to pay it. upside is it’s very convenient to call down from your room so that your car is ready to go when you make it down the elevator! road noise is definitely loud. my husband called it a “runway for cars” but I found it rather soothing- kinda like white noise. I wore earplugs the first night but actually slept with the door cracked the second night.

The staffs there were so nice and friendly; very responsive and speedy as well. Great access with complimentary UBER ride to Getty or UCLA. Their breakfast was not buffet style, but the dishes were quite nice and the service & view were fantastic. The room was spacious enough and the view was good. Good wifi, and nice bathroom. Cleaning was thorough. Overall, I have zero complaint about the hotel itself and I enjoyed the stay there, especially breakfast.

It is not recommended to walk around the hotel. I tried to walk from UCLA to the hotel (40 minutes or so) but the nearby streets were not lit at night and it was a little scary to cross the wide street on foot. Almost no public transport available, but that is the problem of Los Angeles rather than the hotel. They do offer free UBER to Getty or UCLA, though you need to come back on your own.

After a very long flight, it was just wonderful to arrive to such a clean room with king size bed. we had a great nights sleep and then we’re able to appreciate the rest of the hotel.. fantastic bar/restaurant on the 17th floor with amazing views of the city and a gorgeous pool area to relax. would highly recommend!!

It didn’t bother us but road noise can be heard via the balcony when in the room due to be so close to the busy freeway. But this means it’s in a brilliant location to get to any part of the city very quickly.

Very unique property located immediately adjacent to the freeway. This is both a hindrance and a help. It makes it convenient and easy to get to from most directions. However on the flip side the freeway in question is one of LA’s most infamous and congested so there is consistent noise. Location is very convenient for the Getty and also for Westwood. Room were well decorated, clean and comfortable. Outside the room we absolutely loved the pool and small gym area. Also on the ground floor is a small coffee shop which is very convenient.

The mandatory valet parking. At $50 + expected tips per day this adds a significant extra tax to each stay. I would be fine with this if the hotel had limited space but they have a huge car park. This appears to be just an additional nightly tax. The coffee shop server either hated her job or us (or both) as she was supremely bad tempered and rude every time. The rooms are not soundproofed against either the noise from the freeway or internal noise. In fact flushes and showers being run in other rooms could be heard from within ours.

The staff was friendly. The hotel team offered the help that we needed for the trip, which was a summer camp for the students from Taiwan to experience the local culture in the states. We would share more feedback in our blog at city.udn.com/4912. Cheers!

The hotel didn't offer the discount for the hotel guests to enjoy the restaurant. We stayed for 9 days and it would be great that the hotel could offer us a special discount for meals in the hotel.

Bed very comfortable; Nice modern decor; Pool and workout area were very nice (although we were not able to use either on this trip, but will hope to make time next time); Quiet; Nice bathroom; Room was tidied up each night/fresh towels and coffee, etc. Great location for our trip to visit family (did not need freeway to get to family home). Happy hour wine in the lobby!

$40 a day for parking was outrageous. It would be nice if the hotel included breakfast with the room.
