Best Western Plus Yosemite Way Station

This place was located in the best little town! The room was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The first room we were given had a huge gap in the door frame, big enough for small animals (lizards, snakes, etc.) to potentially come through. We were moved up to another room on the second floor. This room also had a gap in the door frame, although not as large as the first room. When we checked in, the air conditioning had not been turned on at all and the room was very hot. It was almost 100° outside at the time, and it took a very long time for the room to cool down.

We had the best time here. We were traveling with our pooch and they were happy to accommodate this with a minimal fee. I have stayed other places that charge and extra 50$ per night which is steep. Here it was only 20 which is fair. The hotel is conveniently located right next to a cute little park which is perfect for dog walking. The breakfast provided is first rate. The employees were constantly restocking all of the foods and were very helpful if you had any questions or requests due to dietary concerns. We were able to drive to Yosemite in less than an hour and had a great day at the park followed by a nice meal at a local restaurant. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

The doors were loud when shutting, this is the only noise l heard in the night which isn't bad considering the hotel seemed fully booked.

Good location - close to shops and restaurants in Mariposa, convenient base to visit Yosemite Valley (YARTS bus-stop a short walk away), free parking. Good breakfast included (with waffle maker); breakfast area is in a separate building within the premises). Hot drinks machine available for us to use at lobby - the hot chocolate drink was 👍🏻, especially after returning from the cold outside. Staff responded promptly to and acceded to my requests made before my stay.

Room's furnishings were a bit dated, but still gave off a homely vibe and the room served our needs.

Clean. Comfortable bed which is most important Prices were a lot more reasonable compared to nearby hotels. Plenty of towels and a krueg for coffee and tea. Great breakfast included with plenty to choose from.

Room was facing main road with traffic but the provide ear plugs.

I like the location is pretty close to Yosemite. Good bed and very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is better than I expected. It is also in a quiet town. Good for having a nice sleep after the whole day of hiking in Yosemite.

Perhaps it is due to the color, the carpet don't look very clean to me. It will be better if they can update the carpets. In the early morning, the noisy cart from the cleaning staff woke me up. It would be a much nice sleep if the door and windows have better sound proof.

It was an odd room but in a good way. A "King Suite" with a sofa and king size bed. The bed was comfortable and the heater worked well for the chill in the morning. It felt like having your own little apartment away from home. The bagged breakfast was better than most places during this pandemic.

The light switch was on the outside of the bathroom so midnight trips to the bathroom involved turning on the light from the outside before you went in, causing the very bright lights and the loud exhaust fan to start which woke up my traveling companion. Minor in the scheme of things but a bit jarring.

The location was perfect as it is in Mariposa. It is only 45-minute to an hour drive to Yosemite. The breakfast was fantastic as you have different selections. The room is spacious. Also, restaurants and convenience stores are within 5-minute reach.

My cellphone reception was bad. Not sure if it's just my carrier or because of the location. And the room smelled old.

Breakfast was really good and reasonable choices..

We had already paid Booking.com by credit card few days before and noticed after we left hotel that the hotel charged us for our stay even though I explained I had already paid Booking.com few days prior to visit...there was no WiFi for both nights we stayed which was v inconvenient...

The staff made the difference - friendly, kind and helpful! We loved that about the property. Breakfast was excellent. I appreciated the slightly larger refrigerator! Microwave in the room was awesome. Property has hot tub - take advantage of it!

If I have to point out negatives (things to improve upon) then here are things I would say: Bed - really lumpy and soft - my neck became a little sore Room clean-up: While I understand it's COVID and there's no room clean-up. They could have larger trash collectors outside for us to put our trash. When I called front desk in the evening and asked if I could leave it outside they said no because there was no one to collect it and leaving it overnight would invite critters. I get it, but if you had a larger trash collector outside - guests could just go toss it there.

The reception staff is friendly. They have 24/7 free coffee and tea at the reception.

Breakfast refill is quite slow. The place is close to Yosemite National Park entrance, so many people take food for their lunch in the park and empty the breakfast supply quite fast. The staff seemed helpless to cope with that.
