Courtyard by Marriott Merced

This was exactly what we needed toward the end of a hectic two week tour of California! The hotel staff were extremely helpful, and were quick to offer a room that was quiet and away from the freeway side. The room itself was small but well appointed, with the added feature of a couch and otterman - quite unexpected. The pool and gym looked good, but we were never able to find them unoccupied - they were clearly popular with children and teens. In the morning of our departure, we found we had a dead car battery. The staff were so nice - they rechecked us in to our room, and were supportive as we tried to get AAA out to help us. That extra bit of kindness from the reception staff was just what we needed at that moment. I've been staying in Marriott properties for years, and this just confirmed that I was making the right choice! The only downside - common to so many hotels now - was the inclusion of a TV that could only be operated by a rocket scientist. Honestly, couldn't they all just use cable, with a simple guide? Probably no longer available!

I liked the friendly staff. everyone knew we were honeymooning and treated us extra kind. i would recommend to everyone. as a matter of fact we already have. just wish the griddle had been working so we could of had pancakes.

house keeping didn't come in while we were out to clean the jacuzzi tub. we only got to use it once. and they forgot the rose petals and champagne

The room was very clean and comfortable. I loved the eatery for breakfast. Excellent location. Very friendly staff.

The swimming pool was not clean and extremely hot in that area. Hard to enjoy and relax. Had to open door and sit outside.

Everything was good except food crumbs in stairway all days we were there? Never cleaned, everything very comfortable and clean, had spiders in bathroom tho, noisy neighbors but everything was very good comfortable

Spiders in bathroom, food and. Crumbs on stairway the entire time of our stay, noisy neighbors , a lot of homeless hanging out near parking lot closer to other hotel next door worried about my car.

During my stay in Merced, My car broke down and I asked the night manager if he could reccomend a shop for me to take my car the following morning. He said he was going to look for trusted shops and suggested for me to go and rest. I did what he suggested. About an hour later he personally came to my room and gave me the list of options. He went out of his way to make sure I had various trusted options. Indeed, it made me feel comfortable. I am gratefull for his time and attention given to help me resolve my situation

The beds are great! Extremely soft and comfortable. I also loved the AC system, which was very appreciated after a day of strenuous hiking in Yosemite.

I can't think of any specific about the hotel that I did not like. I suppose I could say that it is far from the Greyhound and Amtrak stations...but there is local public transit and taxis to mitigate that. Overall I had a great stay. This is a great choice for lodging near Yosemite.

The staff member who did our check in was very friendly. The pool is nice and room size is very good too.

Nothing relevant to complain, except that the food was not healthy nor tasty.

Great hotel loves the food and staff just wish they'd have told us the pool was not in use. That's why we booked it.

Everything was absolutely perfect! It's a beautiful location, very clean, and very comfortable. It was really nice to have a Starbucks located right in the hotel.
