A nice, modernish motel with a big car park just a short walk up hill from the main coastal tourist part of Morro Bay. It has rooms on the ground floor and first floor. We arrived late but easily found a parking space. The gent on reception was very helpful and pleasant and we felt genuinely welcomed. Double check what time reception closes if you are likely to be late. I believe it was due to close at 10pm on our visit. We had a room on the first floor. It was a decent size, clean and well decorated and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was reasonably equipped, everything worked as it should. There was a fridge, microwave and coffee facilities so all good. They do not offer food of any type. We visited at the end of June so slightly off season and Morro Bay closes early and opens late much like most of the US. We did find a bar a few blocks up the hill on the main road in and spent some quality time with others visiting the town but in the morning nothing was open for breakfast at 9am except one hugely overpriced sandwich type bar. We decided to visit the rock and drive past the 3 chimney stacks before finding food on our way to our next stop. Morro Bay is known as the place with the rock and 3 chimneys. The guy in the room next to us was enjoying the company of a professional female when we arrived but we went out for a walk and when we returned she had left and he was fast asleep and snoring like a champion. One common factor we found during our California road trip is that the Californians just use wood to build rather than concrete and as such the sound deadening for neighbouring rooms is limited and you always get creaking and footsteps from those above you. If you can manage the stairs go for the top floor, at least that way you only have to deal with the noise from your neighbours but a good bang on the wall often suffices :)

The room was sparkling clean. The location was walkable to the bay. We were there during the week and had no trouble getting a parking spot in their lot, but I'm not sure what that would look like at peak times.

Our room couldn't get dark. The wood slat blinds don't close all the way, and the sidewalk light was just outside our window. Blackout curtains would be a helpful addition. We were in an ADA room so I can't speak to other layouts, but there is literally no where to set anything down in the bathroom - no counter space at all. It did seem the bathroom was thoughtfully designed to be ADA compliant, so perhaps that had something to do with it. Overall the walls are very thin, we could hear every move (and toilet flush) from the room above us.

Our clean, very spacious and extremely comfortable room had an unobstructed view of Morro Rock and the harbour. Sea Air was central to everything we did for the week in and around Morro Bay.

For the spacious nature of the room, the bathroom was a bit small and lacked a lot of counter space. Room door locks were somewhat noisy and you could hear neighbour doors being closed. Minor issues both.

We had a very nice welcome with many useful information at reception, a very kind guy helped us. The room was pretty large, with a view on the bay, and the position was great, pretty central, everything at walking distance. Parking available for free in the structure, great!

Location was great! Beds were comfortable, room was well kept and clean. Sheets were great! Had a nice home feeling. I did read a previous review on the property about the fog horn. With the windows open you can definitely hear it, but it wasn’t bad. I found it almost soothing and gave it that feeling of being close to the water. If you’re a light sleeper and sensitive to sounds, I’d say stay a little further lol I’d definitely return here though.

My dislike is more towards booking than the hotel itself. Apparently their price-match guarantee has a small print that isn’t well addressed. Other than the third-party site, place was great.

Room was clean and was exactly as advertised. Central location and you can walk anywhere. I actually locked myself out of my room around 6 am and had to wake the staff up to get back in. The gentleman said, "it's not a problem, I was already awake," when I clearly got him out of bed. That type of kindness is hard to find nowadays.

Everything. Spacious, clean, extremely well appointed, superbly functional room. Very helpful staff. This property is extremely under rated, but it is a gem of a place and run very well. Well worth the money I paid, in fact a bargain! (compared to the awful experience I had at a so called 4 star accommodation recently)

Great place for a quick stop on your way up the coast. Room was very clean and updated. Reception was friendly and helpful. Free parking and walking distance to the waterfront and restaurants. Small town, don't expect to find a lot to do here, but the otters were cool! They are loud which kept me up a bit at night. Convenient if you are visiting Hearst castle.

This place is very close to shops,food/restaurants. The room is very clean & can see the ocean from the room.

Location was perfect. In the middle of bars , restaurants, and walking distance to the water.

There was an issue with my door not opening at around 2am, I began to worry. I was helped and the situation was thankfully resolved.
