The location was great. I could see the big rock from my ocean view king room. I could easily walk down the hill a couple of blocks to the waterfront or choose to walk down Main St. to find some restaurants of shops. The room was very clean with a huge TV and the WiFi was decent. After a couple of days I felt pretty safe in this location.

It's more of a motor inn than a hotel, as are most of the properties in the area. If you want a nicer hotel feel you'll pay quite a bit more money. The bed was a little soft for my taste, but that was my only real complaint. Would stay again!

Great location! It is within walking distance to Morro Rock Pier and several shops and restaurants. The room was clean and updated. I loved their personalized coffee mugs and glassware (also available for purchase). They had a laundry room, but we didn't use it. Our room had a ceiling fan as well as an A/C unit, and included a mini fridge and microwave. They also had a cute wagon full of beach towels and toys for families to borrow.

We were in a downstairs room with a large patio, but a horrible view of the neighboring building. It had a sad table and two chairs for sitting, but I preferred sitting in front of our room to see their flowerbeds and other scenery. I thought there was a continental breakfast option when I booked, but they didn't have one.

It was clean and everyone we talked to were very nice.

The only “real problem” was the TV and the remote control. It was very easy to hit or bump the remote which would then go to a set up screen and “good luck”! Virtually none of the buttons did anything and then BINGO… I must have hit the right buttons or combination and then you had restore the Channels. The download took over 5 minutes which seemed like 10. This happened 4 times and after the 2nd one I called the desk and the person working had no idea on how to fix it. I started to get pissed off because the movie I was watching was gone and I didn’t know what channel it was even on. when the 4th one happened I finally just turned off the TV because I missed so much of it. They could REALLY USE” a laminated card with instructions on how to do it.

I had a really spacious room. A pretty good location for the price. Very friendly and easy check in and check out.

A door mat or something of that ilk would have been nice. It rained incessantly for one of the days I was there and I found that I was trekking dirt throughout the room as there was nowhere to wipe my feet. The housekeeping was a bit hit and miss. A couple of days nothing was done other than the towels were replaced (bed not made; coffee facilities not replaced) however on one day I came back to find the room looking spotless. Very noisy if you’re on the ground floor. I heard every foot step from the room above and much of the conversation! I learnt years ago to always travel with earplugs so I wasn’t kept awake.

Our last several stays have been here at the Harbor House in Morro Bay. It is centrally located and a short walk from the embarcadero, the business district and several restaurants. The hotel was renovated a couple of years ago and the beds are very comfortable. I had back surgery 25 years ago and have trouble sleeping in most hotel beds but have no trouble sleeping on the beds here. And the hotel is pet friendly for the times we bring out little fur baby with us on our trip.

This is a wonderful place to stay in Morro Bay. the check in process was very easy and smooth and the team are contactable via text at all times. The room is clean and spacious, and the bed is very comfortable. There are also plenty of amenities including fridge and hairdryer, and full shampoo conditioner etc provided, which is ideal. Honestly a great place to stay - it’s right next to the sea, about a 2 minute walk down the road, and very close to Morro Rock too, really the value for money is amazing! we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend if you are going to Morro Bay.

Don’t want to put it as a negative thing but it would be nice to digitalise the laundry (to pay with Apple Pay or smth). You need 5$ to wash and dry your clothes at the laundry and the machines only accept quarters. So prepare a lot of quarters! Still appreciate the ability to wash my clothes at the property tho :)

The staff was accommodating as much as possible. I was able to move rooms due to a few minor repairs and was much more comfortable. The location is great. This was my 2nd stay, and I will most definitely return especially if the prices are reasonable:) I never got the woman's name at the desk but she's working SO hard juggling the constant summer flow. So thank you again!!

Sometimes it's pretty noisy but I got used to sleeping with earplugs when I travel

Close to the sea front and wharf. Unfortunately we travelled down from Monterey on C-1 which is closed north of Morro Bay, but you don’t get told this until we were almost on the closure. This meant we had to go back to Monterey some 50 miles and reroute via the C-101. Hence we arrived in Morro Bay very late and very tired and thus missed having a good look around the local area. Room was very comfortable.

Nothing. Would recommend this hotel. Note the car sat nav identified it as a Days Inn, who were the previous owners.

I really liked the location and price of the hotel room. It was within 5 minutes of everything I wanted to do. I got a blacony with ocean view and I absolutely loved it.

The stairs up to the second floor were right next door so when other guests came up it was very noticeable but when I turned the fan on for white noise that took care of it. Also I booked online thru booking.com and so I didn't know of the policy to never leave your pet unattended in the room, not a problem for me and I don't think the website lets hotels enter their actual policies but it would have been nice to know before I booked, next time I'll just call directly i think.
