Super 8 by Wyndham Yucca Val/Joshua Tree Nat Pk Area

A cozy, safe, comfortable and warm motel that welcomed my friends and I on our trip to Joshua Tree. It is easy to find, right off the main road in Yucca Valley. If you want more of a lively village, stay closer to the gate or in 29 Palms, but this was a nice location for drivers.

My only feedback was that the "free breakfast" was the worst breakfast offering I've ever seen. It was very difficult to build a balanced meal as there were no protein or fat options such as yogurt, peanut butter, eggs, or cheese. It was mainly sugary donuts and instant, refined carbs, which is not a good breakfast for starting a day in a national park (or anywhere). We ended up buying breakfast each morning, which was an extra expense, since the breakfast did not meet any sort of nutritional standard or would have kept us full without crashing for more than 30 minutes. It was convenient only for the motel staff, but not for guests, which is not really considered a service.

The staff made up for any shortcomings of the well- placed location. A parking spot reserved for Veterans was a huge plus. Breakfast was OK as far as grab-and-go is concerned. Building was clean, garbage was always taken out. Housekeeping was fantastic. Being right near many hiking areas was perfect.

The age of the building worked against all of the positives. The lack of an elevator made staying on the 2nd floor annoying. The price was a bit much for the location and comfort of my bed, but the owner did help with a slight discount.

We enjoyed the pool, larger than Best Western down the street where we stayed previously. Very refreshing and not heated by the triple digit temps. Room was comfortable and AC nice and cold. On site customer service was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was typical of your standard continental breakfast, coffee, tea, pastries, cereal. Overall amenities were comfortable for being a budget hotel. For the rate we paid I was very pleased with accommodations and would return.

Exterior grounds were clean but could use a little freshening up, but you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. There isn't an elevator which might bother some travelers, but I'm sure the hotel would accommodate a floor room if accessibility is of concern. The interior hallways are not air conditioned, no biggy for us but some travelers may be disappointed. We did not find these issues bothersome, but some could, and to those I kindly say, "don't stay in a budget hotel".

Affordable Hotel located in the cute town of Yucca Valley. There is a big supermarket right in front of the building, a few minutes away, together with other food chains and restaurants. The room was very clean and the staff nice and welcoming, always smiling.

There was quite some noise at night and early in the morning coming from the hallway. Late in the evening I believe some guests kept on entering in each other’s rooms and slamming the doors — in the early morning the cleaning ladies were a bit loud. Or at least it seemed like that, maybe the door wasn’t isolating the sound very well. The breakfast lobby was a bit small and there was a short variety of food.

Decent hotel for a good price. Works well as a base for the Joshua Tree NP. Yucca Valley is about 15-20 minutes drive to the West entrance station. My room was upstairs. It was exceptionally clean and quiet. Will stay here again on my next trip to the Joshua Tree NP.

Breakfast could have been better. No protein, only unhealthy carbs like cereal and pastries. Oh they had instant oatmeal. At least something relatively healthy :)

Room was spacious, clean, and had the basic essentials like microwave, fridgerator and there was a table for us to eat on. Don't let the outdated furnitures fool you. The bedding and pillows were surprisingly comfortable. I liked that they had a list of the channels for the television becuase there was no guide to flip through. Location is safe and convenient to stores, gas station, and 30 minute drive to the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park and 12 mins from the visitor center. They also provided breakfast but we didn't wake up early for it. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Overall, it was affordable and convenient for a short stay.

It is an older building so there's no elevator. We had quite a few luggage so had to make two trips. We decided we didn't want to carry everything again later so we organized and put away half of our luggage in the car (we were halfway through our trip and there was a lot of stuff we no longer needed). I wouldn't recommend if the location isn't safe, but I would say it is. It's a quiet and people are friendly. There was construction next door so it was pretty loud and walls are quite thin. The guests next door had their tv on pretty loud and we could hear footsteps from the stairs located in the middle. Our room was at the end of the hallway. I didn't use it, but towels had a really strong bleach smell that reaches the room when the bathroom door is left open.

I really liked the price & how we had a king size bed and kids had a queen. The room was really big and spacious. I liked how clean everything was! The pool was great. It is very close to Joshua Tree and an excellent location. Would stay here again for sure!

We had a first floor room and we noticed the screens were bent and lock was broken off like someone had broken in. We were concerned about safety. Better windows need to be installed. Some of the fixtures in bathroom were old. Popcorn ceilings in room felt outdated

The first and probably the most important point is that it is located at a very short distance away from the west entrance station of the national park. Secondly, the room is very cozy, yet spacious enough. Our room window directly overlooked the parking lot. The large windows facilitated ample sunshine into the room. The amenities provided were sufficient for us, maybe more than what we needed. The breakfast was light and simple. We loved it! The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful! Overall, I would recommend the place to anybody visiting Yucca valley for a trip to the Joshua tree National Park.

Location was great. Close to Joshua Tree Nat Pk Area / west entrance. The room was spacious enough for two adults and a toddler. The hotel was surprisingly quiet after 10pm even though it's situated next to a busy road. Breakfast wasn't memorable but it'll do the job for most people.

The manager was nice and friendly but the lady who supervised the breakfast was particularly rude Cleaning was not perfect, especially for the room floor. We had to be really careful where our toddler was wandering.

The location is so close to grocery stores, restaurants, and other places that one might need. I give it top stars for that. Check-in was a breeze. I recommend this place. Rooms have all the stuff you need.

There was nothing I could not complain about, The rooms were clean, especially the bathroom. They can't do anything about the 2nd floor guests with heavy feet when they walk around.
