Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham Port Charlotte

Staff was great. Bobby at the front desk was outstanding and housekeeping took care of several special needs. Very attentive. Beds were comfortable and facility was clean. Left something at the hotel and they were helpful getting it back.

We paid for a continental breakfast but all they had was "grab and go", which was a juice box, granola bar and small clementine, very disappointing. Was told this was due to COVID and would change soon. Wish we would have known so we didn't buy it.

Good morning, your employees, Zurmi, Maria and the man who cleans the floor (I don't know his name) the best employees there in your hotel, people like that are needed and more like them, I congratulate you, I hope the next time go back there, they are the ones who touch me, because I plan to return soon. Everything fine

Room rate was low. Proximity to the Punta Gorda Airport was a good location. Bed was a little stiff, but not uncomfortable. We didn't eat the breakfast so I cannot comment on that. The room was clean.

Of course the room was VERY small, but for the price it is tolerable. We only slept for a few hours from 1 am to 10 am and then left, so we only needed a safe, clean, comfortable bed and we got that.

The staff were very friendly and attentive

That the swimming pool wasn't available for use the whole stay and my wife had an issue with one of the male night clerks. He was very rude to her and we believe that he called our room from 12am to 2am each hour on the hour until we unplugged our phone. Other than that, the staff were good and I would come back again

This location is under New Management and it shows from the improvements that have been made to this Hotel. I was very impressed and satisfy with how well housekeeping pays much attention to detail. Thank you Vanessa but overall from front desk to grounds keeping have made my stay at this hotel a good comfortable place to spend the night. Breakfast consisted of Coffee, Danish, muffins, granola bars, Cereal and fruits. Definitely a place I would revisit when back in town. Keep up the good work guys. Thank you

Could benefit from having vending machines for late Snackers but you can always go to front desk and they will assist in getting you a drink and snack

The hotel itself was great, parking lot lights working & well lit (I checked in very late). The staff was very nice - quick check in & gave me all the info I would expect at ck in. A bit surprised on how "casually dressed" they were though, even morning shift, even though I had no interaction with them. Cleaning staff however, very polite and in uniform. The lobby was well lit and very clean. They had vending machines in lobby, reasonably priced but the soda/pop machine was not stocked, but again I checked in late Saturday night. ROOM: The room was good...size was enough, would be tight for 2 travelers for more than 2 nights. But I think there are larger single rooms (suites). Room had all items I would expect: Iron & board, coffee maker, alarm clock, TV (which was wall mounted - I liked that) and remote, plus small closet. Had sitting area under window, which technically could sleep 1. Also under this air, I love how they utilized the space & had the AC & 2 small drawers. This room, however, had no microwave or refrigerator (which I personally forgot to ck room amenities when booking but thought this was standard at this age...I had medication that needs to remain cold...so in the ice bucket it went). I did ❤️ the lighting!! Light switch when you came in, another switch closer to bed that worked same light! 2 switches at bed. BATHROOM: ❤️ the size, the tub/shower combo had rounded shower rod, which I love! More space & curtain not stuck to you. The counter space, give a 6, the nice larger sink took a lot...but again short trips & 2 people, plenty of space. Had blow dryer, tissues and soap, shampoo. Lighting was 7.5/10...could have been a little brighter...for those who do makeup (and definitely could NOT do makeup with room lighting). BED: Queen size, comfortable, sheets looked and felt clean. Overall - it was a quick stay but was comfortable and felt safe.

Not much but there was a few things.... As noted above, no refrig or microwave Towels were nasty (see pic) Room needed some touching up/upgrades (see pic)

Naj at the front desk was so welcoming, even over the phone b4 we arrived. He was great whole stay. When he found out I smoked, he put me by the back door for a convenient exit and re entry! Allowed me to keep my bags and personal items with him while we went to eat across the street at Bob Evans after check out. We were in town from Mn and only there 1 day b4 we went to Kissimmee,FL but he was so pleasant and personable.

It was clean. My kids love the bench seat in the window.

The toilets seemed oddly low and breakfast was practically non-existent. I went down in the morning because we were told they had breakfast, but I couldn’t see a breakfast area. Went up to the desk and the employee never looked up and continued their work for a good five minutes before huffing at me if I needed something. I inquired about breakfast and she said it was bagged and how many did I want. I just requested one and it was a nutrigrain bar, saran wrapped apple, and a juice box. I understand we are in an odd situation, but I feel like the facility should say that breakfast isn’t being included right now, rather a take away snack bag is available.

The room and hotel are clean and of good quality. Well above the Days Inn down the street.

Breakfast was minimal. I understand it was free, but breakfast options were minimal. I ended up going to local breakfast restaurants which was fine with me.

when the cleaning people came in to pick up the wet towels, they did not replace what they took. at least they could have gave us new towels and washcloths. I had to ask for more towels and she didn’t have any on the cart. but she did go get us some and brought them up to us.
