Sleep Inn & Suites Port Charlotte-Punta Gorda

I was pleasantly surprised how nice the room was for such an old motel. Updated very well. The staff working there were outstanding. We were there for 3 nights

The cost was crazy for this kind of location and the amenities were not well taken care of. The pool was dirty, the laundry room was filthy, the machines were sticky from laundry detergent. No attention there. I think all motel chains have taken advantage of the COVID thing by not refreshing rooms every day and at 200+ a night that is unacceptable. The breakfast was great!

I don't think they should allow baby showers to be held in the hotel. They shut the pool room down for a baby shower. Kinda made us feel uncomfortable trying to go to the pool. Also they could be a little cleaner. We stayed from Friday to Monday morning. Not once was a staff member in our room to clean or do house keeping. We had all the garbage bagged up by the door not to mention about 3 loads of towels from the beach day an times we showered an pool days. The pool outside was dirty. We actually used the skimmer to get Skittles wrapper out of the pool and leaves and cigarette butts. Because we wanted to swim. But so we cleaned it out ourself.

Kim the house keeper on third floor. She is amazing. We work and she did our room when we asked her she got anything that we needed and she did an amazing job the room. She is an amazing person just in general. If your day is rough go say hi to Kim on third floor she will make you laugh smile and warm your heart all at the same time. And Scott at the front desk and I'm sorry but I can't remember the last that almost sounded German?? They were both amazing and we want to thank them too. I am putting my sister in this hotel and anyone else that comes visit us.

There was NOTHING that we didn't like. It was amazing. Go to the third floor and ask for Kim tell her Melinda sent you she will take good care of all your wishes for your room. She is amazing.

Everything! The staff is very friendly, the property is very clean. My family and I had to extend our stay due to a tropical storm going through Tampa. When I explained the issue to the front desk he advised me he wasn’t sure if I would be able to but he would try his best to get the stay extended. Upon my return to the hotel he mentioned to me he was able to extend the stay. It was such a relief for me and lifted a weight off my shoulders. We are in town for my fathers passing and if I’m ever in town again, this will be my place to stay.

There was nothing I did not like.

The hotel is very clean, new, the room is wide, beds are great, linens are perfect, very comfortable and pleasant. Breakfast was good enough. Parking was great, easy to access.

When I was checking in (around 9pm), the staff member Shanon said they didn't have the room I originally purchased, but only with 1 bed. We were traveling in 2 couples, so definitely it wouldn't suffice. She only solved the problem after I argued severely regarding the unacceptable incident, and then "out of the blue" she "found" a room for us. Frankly, unnecessary stressful situation during check-in, not fair to such a nice hotel and other staff members during the day.

The staff was great, they were so very attractive and sweet to our little dog Max, he is going to miss all their attention. They were very quick to address any of our needs. Do need to metion that, any issues we really had there, were others staying that did not watch or clean up after thier children that threw rocks in pool. left food and candy were ever it drop. total lack of respect for others staying. staff was very quick to take care of all messes others left behind. They were short staff, still they were polite and able to attend to any requests we had. so a big thank you to them. we would definitely recommend this hotel.

Clean and spacious rooms and manicured property. Pet friendly. The room had a slightly funky smell but didn’t notice after a few minutes. Beds very comfy. It was notice to have microwave and coffee maker. Fridge too but it only kept things cool, not really cold…but better than no fridge. Barroom clean and really good water pressure for the shower. Definitely will stay next time I’m there. Oh…and Cracker Barrel and Waffle House right next door.

Not really anything to dislike.

Everyone was exceptionally helpful, especially since I was coming in the day I came out of the hospital from major surgery. Hannah made sure my check in went quickly and smoothly. We will be back on April 7th... The staff at this hotel is always friendly and very helpful... I highly recommend staying here if you are in the Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda area..

There wasn't anything really that I didn't like. I preferred a ground floor but it wasn't available...other then that my stay was great..

The staff was always pleasant and very courteous with any requests. We checked out and then realized we left one of our bags in the room. We called Scott at the desk and he said it was no problem and to come get it. Lisa met Scott and I at the desk with our bag and a smiling face. They made it seem like it was no inconvenience at all. I can tell they enjoy serving their customers!!!

Excellent. Hot and delicious egg and sausage. Waffles also excellent. Coffee and juice wonderful. Cleanest dining area I have come across and employee huddled to keep it tiptop shape. Her name was Amanda.
