The Burgess Hotel, Atlanta, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

My friend and I decided that we were exhausted upon check in and wanted to eat at the hotel restaurant. There is a dress code, but no worries—anything from the restaurant could be ordered at the bar. The bar tenders were very attentive despite the volume of people in the bar and lounge area. The meatballs and gnocchi stew were delicious!!! The mocktail I order was delicious as well. The items on the menu are not exactly cheap, but they definitely do not disappoint. The lobby, bar, and lounge were VERY well decorated and functional. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help.

This is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff was absolutely amazing! Yannick was the most courteous and professional staff member I have ever experienced in all of my years of hotel stays. The cleanliness of the hotel and room were superior. The room was gorgeous! Beds were clean, soft, and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and decorative. I was treated like a valued guest and that's what I loved most. When visiting the area again, I'd definitely book this hotel and only this hotel from now on. Overall, everything was excellent!

There was absolutely nothing I didn't like about this hotel. I loved it!

I loved the decor! Lovely. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. All in all a very nice convenient stay.

I did not like being charged for parking when the property had ample parking. In my experience there is usually limited on site parking and a valet involved when I'm charged for parking. The motel was mostly empty. No valet needed. I would rather have seen the parking rolled into the price and or disclosed more prominently on the website. That was annoying. .

The staff was excellent. Donna at the front desk was fantastic and really made a difference in our stay.

I am extremely disappointed that I was charged for parking. Why would any business that has available parking charge their guests to park. What are you supposed to do with your vehicle. Because of this it is extremely unlikely I will stay with you again, unless I walk to Atlanta.

very good atmosphere, friendly staff, spacious rooms, comfortable bed. the restaurant was great, the food exquisite.

I could hear a lot noise, from maybe a generator outside, coming on and off. I am a light sleeper and it kept disturbing me while I was sleeping. Also, the elevator doesn’t smell fresh.

The rooms were decorated, inviting, and modern. It had a full size couch- so me and my husband could eat meals together instead of on the bed-hardwood floors throughout which I liked.

The only two complaints I would have-is that you have to pay for parking and that the pool should be open longer in the afternoon it closes at 7:00 which is super inconvenient. It would have also been nice to have a brochure/pamphlet to explain hotel accommodations- I did not know until the last night that we stayed they had a connivence area to purchase drinks for your room (the fridge was made to look like a cabinet)-super happy that is something the offered!

Friendly staff, comfortable bed and room. Bartender was great.

There was an inconvenience regarding my service dog, which was not allowed in the restaurant area. We sat at the bar instead.

I did not have breakfast. The bed was comfy and I overslept. I liked the greeting of the staff outside in the roundabout to help with my luggage and open doors. Felt fancy !

I did not like the extra $15 applied to my card. I paid to park and for the room, and was still charged and extra $15. I went back inside before parking, and asked about the fee, and was told that after checkout, the $15 fee for whatever, would be added back to my card. Its been 2months roughly, and I still haven't received my refund.

the property was nice, clean, in a great location and the staff was very nice and informative.

the only thing i didn’t like about the property is that they didn’t have a real breakfast, but there are plenty of breakfast spots within a mile of the hotel

from the time I walked thru those doors I knew I would be back. the front desk was extra helpful. I had two small kids with me. there was a guy outside when I pulled up. however just when my hands was full he appeared out no where. sayin no mam, I have this: u make your way to room. this was the weekend my daughter stayed at the 12 hotel! they didn't even have house cleaning staff.( or at least enough) she changed her own bed, for double the money I'm in love!!
