Hilton Garden Inn Hays, KS

Room was generously spaced and had a very comfortable bathroom. Everything was clean and in good condition, clearly relatively new. The location was easy on/off the highway with several food options close by.

They are clearly understaffed. What should’ve been a quick, straightforward breakfast took nearly an hour. The tables weren’t cleaned, they coffee stationed needed to be refreshed and when our pancakes and waffles finally did arrive they were cool and tasteless.

The bathroom door was barn style and wouldn’t stay closed. We had to block it with a small table in the room, but still remained with a crack. The shower drain plug was broken and water stayed in shower. We had to prop it open with a rag to let it drain. We notified staff and they simply said “apologies for the inconvenience” There were 4 of us in the room with no privacy.

Hotel is clean beds are comfy. Breakfast was good, we had the continental breakfast there was the option to have a restaurant style breakfast, but we woke up to late. Staff was genuinely friendly.

Then only thing that would make this better would be a few more breakfast options with the continental breakfast. I love having several options, its one of the things I look for when I choose a hotel.

Everything about the location was amazing. Clean, quite, friendly staff and lots of amenities for all sorts of visitors. Food was top tier and was affordable to match. Rooms were nice with lots of space. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay the entire time was about as nice as it could get while being away from home.

The dryer was broken which sucked since we had lots of dirty clothes. We ended up having to hang dry our clothes which wasn't the worse thing in the world. Wasn't much in the way of Tv channels but you could also watch netflix, showtime and youtube which made up for it.

Brand new hotel, so everything was clean and nice. Very modern look and also has a restaurant and bar area that was great. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The pool is super small and there's no hot tub. But it was nice and clean (again it's brand new so I wouldn't expect anything less). Breakfast is SUPER expensive and not included in the cost of the room ($12 for adults and $10 for children). It's much cheaper to go elsewhere for breakfast, hotel might want to reconsider that price point.

the king sized room was really big and nicely furnished. we enjoyed staying here and would stay again most likely.

didn’t like how hard the bed was. It was on the extra firm side so we woke up a bit stiff. the sink in the bathroom wasn’t great. the faucet is too close to the edge so water ends up everywhere.

Clean, convenient location just off the highway. Dog friendly.

Nothing that we disliked - the bar / restaurant seemed busier than they expected - one person managing the bar and table service the night we stayed. Wasn’t a huge deal, but felt sorry for the girl trying to manage both!

No coffee in room, and breakfast was $12 extra with nothing special on it, so I went to McDonalds

We arrived in the late evening and were greeted by a friendly and cheerful receptionist. She made us feel welcome and got us checked in quickly. I saw the same receptionist upon leaving the next morning. Still smiling and asking about our stay. Just a real pleasant experience staying there.

Breakfast was good. Good variety. Maybe free hot coffee in the evenings. The staff was great.

We asked for an extra item on 3rd night and young gentlemen seemed upset and told us to come back later.
