Location was next to Dorothy’s House/Land of Oz. It’s cute. The rooms are just right. The managers are sooooo nice, friendly & warm. Of this specific road trip of which I stayed at several motels, the beds and pillows were the most comfortable. Honestly the beds are wonderful, very high quality. TV/cable worked great. Also the nighttime outside lighting was real good, very secure.

I really liked the property. We had trouble turning on A/C, but once we figured it out, it worked fine.

The room was extremely clean. Beds were very comfortable. The staff was friendly. We don't stay in luxury hotels when we travel but we do want our motels to be clean and the beds to be comfortable. The staff were very nice and went out of their way to greet us and upon leaving actually chased me down to my truck to thank me for staying with them. The owner shook my hand and wished me and my family "happy holidays and good fortune." I've stayed in hundreds of hotels over the years and never have I been treated as respectfully as these owners did.

The hotel is a jump back in time...but the owners take pride in what they have and the cleanliness of the room was appreciated. The beds were very comfortable, we couldn't hear our neighbors and the shower was nice and hot with plenty of pressure. We stayed 2 nights and our room was clean and fresh towels were provided after each return. My only issue was parking..I travel with a large truck and long trailer and had to park in a different parking lot which was close...I only mention this for those who travel as I do, so that you know you need to consider that the parking lot is not designed for trucks and trailers.

We were on a road trip to Connecticut and needed a place to stay. We checked in super late and checked out super early but the manager was great. Both times he was friendly and welcoming. It is an older hotel but it was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. That is a bonus for me. The price was great too especially because we were only there for 7 hours.

The property, an older facility, was clean and well-kept. The family operating the hotel was wonderfully kind and generous with offers to let us use their car and help if they could while we waited four days for our car to fixed. On the last day, they allowed us to stay in our room until we could pick up our car in the afternoon. I will give them my business anytime I am in town.

We have stayed multiple times at the South Wind Inn. It is an excellent value, location is good, room is always clean, and the beds comfortable. It has been the perfect pit stop as we travel.

Older motel but clean. This room was spacious with 2 queens and decent since bathroom. Best bed I've slept in so far. 1st floor parking right outside my door. Best value imho.

Only the weather outside. It was freezing and I forgot to prepare for the icing.

Great little gem in Liberal. Motel was clean and quiet, bed was comfy. Owners were so very happy to see people, it's been a rough few years for everyone, they were beyond grateful for the stay. Would definitely recommend if you want a place that isn't a "national chain" and takes you back to how travel used to be.

Clean, pet friendly, very comfortable king bed, priced very reasonable, quiet, secure, all the basic amenities and the room was comfortably warm on a very chilly night.

One of the owner/managers seemed to think I was trying to "smuggle" in a second dog and a husband. It took some convincing that I was traveling alone with a chihuahua.

Great location to stop during a long road trip. Super nice staff, very clean room, comfortable bed, and a fabulous shower. Amazing value for the cost!
