Historic Michabelle Inn

The breakfast was good but according to reviews pre-COVID I looks like they changed some things. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room that we stayed in was cozy and relaxing, which was the reason for the trip.

There really wasn't anything to complain about, we thought the breakfast is going to be a little bit more involved, but I guess given inflation right now, it was better than some of the things we've gotten it. Other places. The cook did a great job and we got hash browns, eggs and sausage.

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I needed to get my room key early, not actually check into the room, and they had no problem with that. The rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable. The screened in porch was perfect for coffee, and relaxation in the morning. The grounds were well maintained, and really beautiful for an old home. The mattress in the room, I truly need in my life. It's the first time in forever, I didn't wake up with pain.

The breakfast wasn't that great, the view from breakfast was fantastic though. Stayed in the room with the room that had the jets in the tub, and all the jets weren't working.

Great location, beautiful living room and breakfast area in the Main House. Breakfast every morning wasn't elaborate but was tasty and had everything we needed. Our suite was huge and clean. Loved that giant tub! There was also a small fridge and microwave. I want to stay in that suite again next time we visit. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Plenty of parking. Will definitely stay again!

Very beautiful area. Room was very clean. Breakfast was good but more if a snack then a full breakfast.

We stayed in the Cottage suites. It was our honeymoon & we could hear everything from other cottages. Made for good entertainment but if it’s your honeymoon splurge on the Oriental suite that is separate building.

I didn't have breakfast at this location, but I did over hear others speaking highly of it. I am excited to try it next time I stay.

While everything else surpassed expectations, the bed could of been more comfortable. I found it a little too hard for me to get a full nights sleep. However, I have two small children at home, so I am always operating in a tired capacity.

I really love the architecture and the history associated with the house. Very beautiful colonial style house. Staff who I am assuming were the owner's children were very pleasant, friendly and accommodating. With the exception of the minor issue with the shower the Venetian room was great, very nicely decorated the bed was really comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was really nice as well. Only regret I had was that I didn't actually Get to meet the owners to thank them for a wonderful stay, oh well maybe next time and we definitely will be back. Don't pay any attention to the negative reviews either, this place deserves none of those.

The only minor issue that we had was the shower in our room sprayed water from a leak in one of the seals and was not usable because it would have water all over the room. But the large Jacuzzi bathtub filled in nicely. I am quite sure this was something that happened recently and went unnoticed by the staff before we checked in the room and I only mention it now so I can let them know.

Breakfast was good. We liked that the owner spent some time with us. The cleanliness of the rooms and beautiful Christmas decor was impressive.

We would have liked to hear or read more about the history of the inn. While it was obviously a very beautiful property at one time, the grounds and exterior could have used some care. The staff dressing a little more professionally would have added to the charm.

Very beautiful and relaxing place to get away for the weekend. My fiance and I stayed in the Shererazade Suite and it was so beautiful, nest, and clean. From what the owner said, the cleaning lady had just finished in the room and it smelled amazing. The suite was well furnished with refrigerator, ice, glasses, etc. I was glad that we didn't need to buy ice and that the fridge was a nice size. The grounds are well maintained and location was great as there were MANY eateries and a large shopping center literally 5 minutes away. My only issue was the spa tub was very big and relaxing, however, two of the jets were out. Also, my fiance found the bed too firm. Besides that,, the room was huge.. We actually will build comparable to this.. lolOther than those which were minor, this place is an excellent hidden gem in Louisiana. Will be back.

Was incredibly pleased with our stay! The rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable. The owner, Chris, and his staff could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful. Will definitely book again!

The setting, decor, and hosts were wonderful. Hasn’t changed since Michel was the original host. An evening glass of wine enjoyable

I would have enjoyed expanded hours on breakfast.
