Hampton Inn & Suites Frederick/Fort Detrick

Breakfast was just what we needed, but not any more than that. I appreciated the great laundry facilities. A little tricky to get into, but a nice Walgreena right next door.

Signs indicated that laundry items - soap and dryer sheets - could be found at the front desk, but they were out and also didn't have change for the machines, so I had to go next door to Walgreens.

The breakfast options were good. They changed it up slightly from day to day, so those staying more than one night got some variety. The stay was reasonably priced, given that there is a pool and free breakfast included.

The location was a little bit hard to get to, just because of the median in the main road in front of it.

The bathroom was really clean. I like the shampoo/conditioner/body wash/lotion in the bathrooms. Food options were decent.

The drinks were limited at check in. Not a wide selection. I would have liked a vending machine on the floor. Going down to the lobby with a child late in the evening isn't preferred. The bed was very creaky and almost felt broken when laying on it.

Room was great and quiet. I pay the extra $$ because it usually means the clientele are quieter.

I have stayed here multiple times and have enjoyed my stay. I had not stayed here in a while however for various reasons. The one disappointment was breakfast. Not as many selections and the eggs seemed like they were powdered. I went to McDonalds.

I stayed at this hotel with a family member over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, and the hotel and room were VERY clean. I smelled bleach and Lysol upon entering the room and I was very pleased. The white sheets and comforter smelled like bleach. I am a very clean person and I was so worried about the cleanliness of the hotel due to COVID and they did not disappoint me. There was a Clean Safety sticker on the door to let you know that no one had been in the room since it had been cleaned. The staff was great! The buffet breakfast was served to you by the staff and the coffee was hot and endless! I would stay there again. Great job.!

The only issue I had is that there were 2 or 3 wedding parties staying at the hotel and it was very noisy from 12 midnight to 3 am. I had to call the front desk twice. However, they did what they could.

Staff was helpful and friendly, Everything was clean. Staff attempted to handle room issue after room type was changed by booking.com

Room was not the same as the booking I made through booking.com. my room type was changed and I never received a email or notice from booking.com

Rooms were generally clean with small exception. Breakfast was good.

The a/c kept kicking on despite me setting the room temp to 70 or 71 the entire stay. It definitely was colder than what I set it too as I do like to sleep cool but not cold. Woke up every morning with a sore throat that went away within an hour of leaving the premises so the air in the hotel was just far too dry. My only complaint.

For just coming back from a pandemic, food was fine. LIked having the kitchen staff serving the hot foods.

No Greek yogurt. No hot oatmeal. Not able to make pancakes or waffles. Bed was nicely firm; loved the shower stall; no fan in the bathroom (however newly renovated) so took awhile for steam to go away. Pillows were way too soft. Reading chair in the corner (as well as lounge chairs in the lobby) are meant for someone 6'5. Short people can't sit back comfortably, so we ended up sitting on the bed to watch television and read.

It was convenient and very accessible to my daughters place.

I had to ask for clean linen and towels, and I was not sure why no one attempted to clean the room during my stay. It was great other than those few items.

Location was good. I was there for a funeral which was very close. Didn't have disturbing outside noise

Breakfast was normal hotel food. Pre-made with no taste. Air conditioner had some dirt on louvers.
