Owner lives on premises and was very friendly. He was so helpful in identifying places for us to explore and dine. Room was extremely clean and comfortable. He was open to suggestions and seemed to be constantly working on improvements. He made a fire each night with plenty of chairs to sit around it. Breakfast was not advertised, but he provided fresh fruit, cereal bars, and great coffee. We look forward to coming again!

Needed an electrical outlet in the bathroom to plug in the hairdryer. The owner acknowledged the need and has plans to update those fixtures. He had recently purchased the motel and is working on improvements as soon as possible.

Love finding these restored motels. you get to back up to your front door & unload your stuff, and if you forget something or want to put it back in the car. it’s right there. The owner, Dan, was professional, while also being super friendly and helpful. He not apathetic like some can be. The bed was comfortable. The room was very clean. Nice to have a fridge in the room, as I’m on a long road trip and not eating out for every meal, which saves a lot of money and just eat so much more healthy that way. Location was great! Just a couple minutes outside the hubbub of town and way quieter. it sits back from the Highway, so that also makes it quieter. I didn’t hear other motel guests other than when a car door would shut and there were others right next to me I’d highly recommend this to friends and in fact am doing so in a travel Google doc I’m sharing with friends.

Can’t think of anything I disliked.

The rooms were immaculate. The beds were sailor fitted sheets looked ironed on the bed it was that perfect with 4 big Oh so darn comfy pillows all to yourself and yes I bounced a quarter off my bed and my friend laughed ...I said now thats is a bed that was elegantly put together and quaint. Its the little touches like that, that make you smile. 😃

There wasn't one thing that I could come up with that needed attention. I liked the fact they they will be adding horse shoe pits and some games for recreational activities NICE!

staff was exceptionally friendly. my dog was very welcome. perfect location in between attractions like Pictured Rock and Mackinac Island. comfortable room, has everything needed for my stay (like fridge, microwave and air conditioner)

water temperature in the shower wasn't consistent - was going from cold to hot all the time. Wi-Fi wasn't reliable - 2 out of 4 days it wasn't working and since there was almost no cellular service either it was a bit inconvenient

the moment I drive into the driveway! greeted by Ron, friendly and caring about my travels and my stay. great cup of coffee each morning in the office to start your day. built in 1960 and recently renovated up to modern features

I was worried about Truckers ( inconsiderate ) using their air brakes in a populated area and outside could be noisy at times, but in your room, not a sound. certainly not a deal breaker. I’d make it a point of staying there next time crossing the country again.

The bed was comfortable. The sheets were of a high quality and extremely comfortable. Pillows, well, bring your own. Far enough off the highway so little to none road noise. Several miles east of town but there is a great cafe in between for some good family style eating. The room itself is on the small size but serves the need. The room and bathroom look to be recently remodeled. Very clean, has tub/shower and plenty hot water. Nice sized flat screen TV also. If you are looking for a place just to sleep and some rest, it is a good value for the price.

The pillows

The property owner, Ron, was a great host and very accommodating. He even built everyone a bonfire on a Wednesday night! People were great to meet. The location was easy to find and check into. Very clean facilities and comfortable. The pillows really are super comfy!

We really can't complain about anything. Except that we couldn't get a room on the way back through because he was booked. LOL

The customer service was excellent. Booking.com had incorrectly charged us for a pet which we did not notice until after we paid by credit card. The owner went above and beyond to get this sorted out on our behalf until we were refunded for the over payment.

The rooms were cute and cozy. There was a fire pit and some corn hole to enjoy during your stay. Which I thought was a nice touch. And a great way to connect with fellow travelers.

Very quaint motel, owners were quite welcoming and accommodating, the room included a microwave and mini-fridge.

Not a dislike because I’m sure there are valid reasons, but there wasn’t a coffee pot in the room. I love a good cup of coffee as soon as I wake up! However, very good hot coffee was available in the office only 2 rooms away from mine.
