My wife and I have believe this is the cleanest country setting hotel in the state of Michigan that we have ever stayed at.. The staff at both the hotel and the restaurant/bar next door were friendly and very helpful with everything. Both my wife and I agree that we have found our new place to stay each year we visit the Munising area for our scuba diving vacation. The parking lot is also more than adequate for large boat parking. The rooms and grounds were well kept and in great order. Can't wait to see everyone next year around the same time.

My 1 and ONLY complaint, would be that the rooms need "room darkening curtains" as the curtains that on the bedroom window now, are not thick enough to block out the Sun as it rises in the morning (we had a eastern facing room). Other than that, the room exceeded my expectations.

Well kept, typical UP resort. No ice machine, but complimentary bag of ice included. Room size perfect for our family of six. Grounds included basketball, cornhole and fire pit. No air conditioning was not an issue for us in late July, as our cooled significantly at night. Slept with windows open and can going which was only an issue when the neighbors started their day with a wake and bake.

Kitchen closed early (bar stayed open). We were arriving late evening from out of town and due to spotty cell service in the UP, were struggling to find a place to eat. Happily found on the website that the restaurant on site was open until 9pm and served pizza. Checked in, but was told due to a busy day, they were relieving staff and closing the kitchen early. While I sympathize for overworked staff, we were now miles from any other food options with 4 grumpy and hungry kids as we tried to find something open in town.

Location was great, older style, 3 beds in a room for our group of 5. Kids said they felt like they were in a cabin. Able to have windows open all the time and a fan is provided, no AC but was comfortable. Had people on both side of our room but it was still very quiet. Have basketball and net and corn hole games. Lots of ATV/ snowmobile trails or walking trail. Excellent Restraurant on site open from 11am to 9 pm always busy no breakfast so plan ahead have refrigerator and microwave in room. Would stay again. Don’t trust your navigation on phone they have printed instructions on their site. I have a keep so it was ok but it originally took us on backroads and keep trying to direct us to the trails. Phone reception is spot out in that area but can make calls when you head but to Munising. So many things to do in the area.

The restaurant opens at 11am so did not get a chance to try breakfast menu if there is one. Super clean room, nice setting in the woods with the lake view. Nightly rate is nice. Location good.

Air conditioning would be a nice addition. None of the rooms have AC. We stayed during the heat wave of 93 degree and the fan that is provided in the room was not enough.

The room was very clean and well kept. Was a nice restaurant on the premises. And was located within driving distance of all the attractions Picture Rock National Lakeshore has to offer. Ideal place as far as my family was concerned

Would have liked to stay longer. Through no fault of anyone's but my own. Our 2 day stay was not enough to see everything.

Even tho there were some dislikes listed, I have to say that I was pleased with how clean the room was. It is an older resort so I expected banged up walls, some mild mold in bathroom, and worn out furniture. I was pleasantly surprised at not even being able to find a cob web! The furnishings were dated, but in excellent shape. The beds were a little hard for my taste, but the bedding was clean and not wore out. The restaurant had excellent food and the waitresses were very efficient and friendly. The price of the room was in our budget and acceptable for what you get. Although my group didn't take advantage of this,, the resort offers an area for campfire, and outdoor entertaining. I would stay again, but be better prepared for summer conditions and bring breakfast food.

This weekend was 91 degrees and 80% humidity so no air conditioning was a problem. The room had a fan, but it could only blow around the hot humid air. We met up with family that lives in the area and decided to eat at the on property restaurant, only to find out they won't push tables together. So the tables were close, but it was hard to have conversations with everyone. With some family only having limited time, we hardly visited at all. With Munising not having very many breakfast food restaurant options, it would have been nice to have breakfast offered here.. Also, we tried several times to use the wifi and the password didn't work. We were going to ask about it at dinner but got distracted with our short visits.

Very quiet natural setting, beds were comfortable, room size and bathroom size were more than sufficient. Food in the restaurant was very good, staff was wonderful.

Facility could use some minor updates (replace a few stained ceiling tiles over coat rack). Took a while for hot(-ish) water to shower/bathe in.

The on-site restaurant was great. Open from 11:00 to 9:00. It gets busy by 5:00 so go early if possible. The location is also very nice. Secluded and private. About a 10 minute drive to Munising. The staff was courteous and helpful. Our room was older but clean. They said they are trying to remodel a few rooms each year.

The only thing we didn’t like was our room didn’t have air conditioning. I guess our stay was during an exceptional hot spell and normally AC isn’t needed. We got by with the windows open until bedtime and used a fan.

What was not to like, it was clean - comfy - friendly everybody - good food - modern.

I am glad I had GPS on my phone to find this place, it just made finding it a little easier.

It was in a good location near Pictured Rocks. It was very nice that they have a restaurant right there also! Also the price was great!

The rooms were dated, but we didn't mind.
