Best Western Alexandria Inn

the location can’t be beat. the staff friendly and helpful from the time we enter until leaving (housekeeping included) we very friendly! very tasty breakfast with many choices. the scrambled eggs surprise me how fresh and flavorful they were as well as great sausage! everything seemed to be good quality products used.

i too live in MN and understand the weather and though it can’t be prevented and can be hard to keep up with, this isn’t a complaint per day but rather could be a liability and that’s the end doors opposite end of entrance doors to check in wasn’t shoveled well and it was tough walking and carrying baggage and we some some slips happen. that appeared to be an emergency door as well! just FYI!

Location was just off of the interstate. Easy to find. Walking distance to a nice pub for dinner, Walmart and Aldi if we needed anything. The breakfast had many options to choose from and food was fresh and tasty. Rooms were clean and beds comfy.

The person who checked us in was pleasant but he was not understanding that I was having difficulty hearing him even when I asked him to repeat himself more than once. He spoke quietly and there was the plastic barrier between us. I admit that I have a hearing problem but even my sons could not hear him. A small thing but it was a little frustrating. Other than that all was good.

I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions, based on its convenient location just off the interstate and surrounded by all sorts of restaurants, bars, gas stations and stores. There is a pool with jacuzzi which was clean and relaxing.

The breakfast was somewhat limited, and I really don't like the excessive use of disposible tableware. Not only is it difficult to eat with plastic cutlery, but there was nowhere to separate plastic, paper and organic waste for recycling. In my experience, this is typical of most hotels in the U.S. I also felt that the rooms were somewhat overpriced, but since we stayed here on a Saturday night in mid-August that was to be expected.

The king size bed was super comfortable, the hot tub was nice. And the and the flooring is really nice and better than carpet! It made it seem cleaner!

Breakfast was good except we didn't know how the pancake machine worked and didn't get help from the 2 girls at the desk. We asked and all they said was put your plate under there! Didn't leave the desk to show us so we ate something else. The Monday morning staff wasn't as friendly as the night before.

Found hair on shower wall. Not mine. General Manager apologetic. Could be just an oversite. Otherwise I generally liked it.

The property was excellent. The front desk staff was helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious enough to be comfortable.

We were told there was a special promotion in place that would provide us with a $20 discount coupon to be applied to our next stay, for each night we were there. We were told we would get an email with the discount inside directly from BW. The front desk clerk did not have the ability to provide those coupons directly to us. We have never received the reward we were promised as members of their club for "frequent guests" or whatever it is called. This is disappointing.

easy to get to location. lovely staff! super nice! Kristen was so nice and went ahead and added extra heat to our room while we went out to eat - as we had been working outside and I was freezing- the breakfast was very nice - extra good sausages- and fluffy eggs and yummy pancakes. the day shift lady waited an extra 10 minutes to keep the food up - so my husband could take his work call AND get breakfast. very nice and clean rooms!

Nice comfortable rooms. Pet friendly with a nice area to walk our dogs next to the building with clean-up bags provided. Morning breakfast was nice. Several Gluten-free options are available. Also, my wife liked the pancake maker (not GF). Made fresh pancakes while you watched.

Parking got a bit tight at night.

Our toilet seat was broke so it wiggled when we sat. Other than that it was great. The desk lady was very kind the first two nights we were there. All the staff was kind and friendly thigh. The breakfast was great too!

We arrived late at night after booking online. When we walked in the night clerk was helpful and assured me he would be on duty all night if we needed anything. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The air conditioner was working well and the room smelled fresh and clean. There was no outside noise. The bathroom was clean, updated and handicapped accessible. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to experience the pool/hot tub the next morning but the breakfast was outstanding! Lots of hot food available and also cold breakfast options. Delicious fresh fruit and juices available. No complaints at all. I highly recommend this hotel.

There is absolutely nothing I didn’t like.
