Walker Hotel

We came to Walker, Minnesota for the Gabriel Iglesias show. The hotel had great amenities. We were pleased with the pool, water slide, hot tub, vending machines and complimentary breakfast. The location of the hotel was very convenient. It was easy to find when coming off the highway and there were nearby gas stations and grocery stores. The hotel staff were very kind and they even allowed us to check in early.

The hotel is a bit outdated as there was no elevator.

Really impressed with all the options available for the continental breakfast. It was very clean and organized. Close to casino for concert that we were attending.

I would have preferred to pay less for 1 nite for regular, single queen room with no jacuzzi. The only times I have paid over $120.00 for one night was when we stayed in a king suite with a jacuzzi or a specialty , family sized,, multiple beds suite. We booked months in advanced.

The hotel is very clean with modern rooms. The AC was very cool. We had our dog with us and they gave us a ground level room very close to an exterior door. It was very convenient for us to walk our dog. The breakfast included with our stay was above average. They had eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal l, bagels, toast. Yogurt, etc.

The coffee was extremely weak

We were in Walker to use the beautiful bike trails nearby and the hotel was very close to the trails. We opted to rent a larger room (the King suite) since we were largely dining in due to COVID. The room had two sinks so very handy when making coffee, rinsing cups etc. It's a basic hotel with slightly outdated furnishings, but everything was in good order, well maintained and clean. Decent beds and bedding. Desk staff friendly.

-Nobody wore masks in the entire establishment, it's as if COVID didn't exist. We wore ours when out of the room so it worked fine, but it was a little surprising especially since there were lots of security cameras and warning signs about other safety matters. -I agree with an earlier reviewer for a need for a light at the entry way to the room or at least by the second sink area as it was hard to see.

Shower head was at good height. Flow was good. I know that sounds stupid but I have been in hotels with a 5 foot and no hot water. Your breakfast was really really good. Thank you for the great breakfast. I will be back and let others know. Thanks again.

Nothing. parking was hard with trailer . More lights in parking lot. Let people know that you can get out of the parking lot by going around the back. you know about the key thing. You are good

The breakfast was adequate. There was adequate selection, although the juice ran out. Everything was hot/cold and the room was clean.

Parking lot gets full but parking was always available. The music from the restaurant connected was very fun!!

we ate breakfast at the hotel our first morning, it was good. the second morning we ate at the restaurant next door, EXCELLENT!!!!!

apartment (room) was great, bathroom was so tiny. kitchen/living room floor felt sticky.

I was in Walker for the North Country Trail Association's Annual Celebration. The Walker Hotel was reasonably priced compared to other facilities and within walking distance to the Celebration facilities. Totally happy with my stay there.

Breakfast was ok and included hot items as well as cereal, eggs and fruit. Location was good as close to main businesses...and bike trail where we walked and church we visited and grocery store. Liked the pool and hot tub.

The bathroom was very small and the toilet was very low, especially for someone who needed a bar to pull up.

We stayed in a king suite with the jacuzzi tub. It was great. Bed very comfortable and very quiet during the night.

I reserved over Hotel.com. I added that I had a small dog under 10 pounds. I did get an email from the hotel that this was okay. But they did not state I would be charged more. When I registered at the hotel I did get charged more. I feel they should quote that to you when they respond with email confirming before hand. Was a little disappointing due to staying at other hotels and not being charged for a small dog.
