Best Western Independence Kansas City

Breakfast was really good. Staff courteous. Room was nice. Liked that beds moved to accomodate wheelchair. Common areas were kept clean and pool was nice.. good acess to highways, restaurants and shopping.

Put plaquard out to have room cleaned,and it was not. Stayed several days so needed trashed emptied, toilet paper and fresh towels minimum. Had to go to front desk for these items. Would have preferred a roll in shower, but was still handicapped accessible. Would have liked adjoining or closer rooms, but were not even on same floor.

Location was good. Easy to get right back on the highway and get to where we were going. I was not able to attend breakfast due to waking up nauseous, but my husband said it was good and had a nice assortment to choose from. The room was very clean and met all our needs. It was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. Seriously I wanted to snag one of the pillows, it was squishy just the way I like it. Check in and out was a breeze, I used booking.com We spent very little time at the hotel, basically just to change clothes before our event (AFC Chiefs Championship game - GO CHIEFS) and to sleep. It was easy peasy getting to Arrowhead Stadium which was a plus. Overall, it was a great stay.

Our toilet would not flush properly. Not good for someone sick to their stomach and looking into a not so fresh toilet. Blah! I like it dark & quiet when trying to sleep, I didn't have a problem with noise at all, but the parking lot lights shown through the blinds. Been nice to have better blinds to block out the lights better. Definitely not deal breakers and I would stay at this hotel again.

Breakfast was good, the employee who worked thbe have breakfast served an hour longere breakfast room did a great job and was very friendly , room was very nice ,the grounds and the outside of the hotel are kept nice. If back in the area would stay there again

Maybe have breakfast served an hour longer. Pool towels were in short supply ,Saturday and Sunday they were hard to come by.pool was inside opening windows would have been nice ,might have helped cut the noise down also

My room was extremely comfortable and relaxing. I enjoyed the availability of coffee and tea in the lobby, though I missed having complimentary reading material to peruse. The hallways were quiet at all hours.

The elevator creaked something awful. It was a bit unnerving. I would have enjoyed there being snack and beverage vending machines on the floors. There was no information in the rooms regarding nearby restaurants or attractions. Yes, I could have consulted my phone, but I missed having local guides.

We like the property and the decor. Slept as good as you can for a hotel. Michael at the front desk the next morning was VERY helpful! He added my rewards number to my reservation and clarified some things for me since I didn't understand much from the guy who checked us in at the front desk the night before. Michael was kind and helpful.

Check in was awful. The guy was wearing a mask, which I understand, but he could have spoken slower after I asked him to repeat some things more than once. I get he had an accent, but he could have done better.

I loved the room and the bathroom. the tv was a decent size as well as the bed. I was able to control the air and the heat. They also had blackout curtains.

we tried to take a shower and the water was freezing cold. I called down to guest services and they said they didn’t know what to do about that. we had to wait 2 hours to take a shower so the water would get hot again.

Location was great. Was very well maintained and very clean.

The parking lot was not great…there were a lot of loiterers and even people parking from another hotel nearby. Our lamp shade was broken which was not a huge deal…maybe a little more attention to detail as far as housekeeping and replacement of items.

The property was great and in a good location! Great selection for breakfast and everything was very clean!

one thing we didn’t like and it wasn’t a big deal breaker was that the bathroom door was a barn door and therefore would not close flush. having a family with teenage daughters no privacy was a huge concern but other than that no biggie would’ve been great to have just regular closing doors though

The bed was comfortable, the room size is what we needed. The pool was nice for the kids.

The pool was indoors but not heated. There was no towels in pool area for the guest, you had to bring towels from your room. There was other guests stuff around the pool, when we were the only ones in the pool area at the time.

I’ve visited this location on other occasions and it never fails to meet expectations. Close to home in case if I forgot something close to shopping and restaurants

This time the bedding had pink stains as if the linens weren’t changed and someone had spelt soda or juice on bed on a previous stay
