Stoney Creek Hotel St. Joseph

Traveling with two little girls who simple adored the pool area! It was great to be able to relax and swim after a long day of traveling. My littlest could touch in the 2 ft section and that was really nice. The room and decor made the pool room spectacular. As my Granddaughter said upon first glance "This is SO Nice"! Kudos to Stoney Creek! It was comfortable, easy to get too and got AAA+ from the Grands! Also, they get extra bonus points because the automatic pancake maker made my granddaughters day! She is asking for one for the upcoming school year...LOL

The style and theme of the rooms was different and very nice very well put together not too overly done. Our room had a jacuzzi tub which was nice, our bed was super super comfortable. The overall room was huge and spacious, and the bathroom countertop was the same way plenty of room for both me and my girlfriend's stuff and then some.

My only complaint and I mean the ONLY COMPLAINT. The pillows sucked! Zero support at all, it felt like I had to put three on top of each other just to get the right support, very uncomfortable!

It was nice and cute, the front desk staff was friendly, the lodge-themed lobby was charming. Seeing it from the outside was the best part. I was excited to go in.

The thing about these bigger hotels is that they're harder to keep up with. And I get that.. but for the large amount we paid for only one night's stay, I just expected this place to be top notch. Maybe most people would miss a lot of the things I tend to see.. I mean, the place is cute at first, but the novelty wears thin once you really start to look closer at the level of attention given to detail. I don't know anything about running a hotel that large and I don't pretend to.. but I will say as a consumer that if a place isn't immaculate in cleanliness and function of each room, it probably shouldn't offer immaculate-level rates. Because that price point set our expectations high from the start.

This property was very clean and well maintained. Our room ( standard king) was spacious and well appointed with good sized room refrigerator and microwave, both clean. A full size ironing board and hand iron were also in the room. Had a nice view overlooking a courtyard and outdoor pool. The bathroom was also spacious and well lit. With plenty of nice quality towels. Nice pressure on the shower head and refreshing soaps and shampoos. The pool area was nicely decorated and again it was clean. The hot tub was well, nice and hot. The indoors pool was a bit shallow but enjoyable. There is also an outdoor pool you could access and swim in a deeper area. there were plenty of clean beach towels available in the pool area. Our favorite thing with the pool area is it close at 10:00 to children. Adults only from 10-11:00 pm. The included breakfast was served in the Chuckwagon room. Nice hot items like scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy were on tap when we stayed. There was also a cool single serving pancake station that made pancakes to order. Cold cereal, granola, oatmeal, boiled eggs, a variety of breads were also available. Coffee, milk, and a juice dispenser for beverages. There was also a cocktail lounge on the property.

The only draw back we found, and it is minor, not a deal breaker by any means… There was a straight bar for the shower curtain. It made the shower feel a bit narrow but again not a deal breaker.

easy access. plenty of parking. close to restaurants and gas station. mall not far. it was quiet. nice outdoor area with indoor/outdoor pool. the attendants at the front desk at check in and checkout, were very friendly.

had king size deluxe room on lower floor facing the parking lot. only blinds for the window. we had to hang towels over the blinds to keep out the lights from the parking lot and the sun. no curtains. room was clean but no more impressive than most rooms. the room seemed somewhat overpriced. bed was comfortable enough. the body wash provided by the hotel had a burning sensation. one of the most disappointing issues was Steven, the bartender in the lounge. he was friendly enough, but we had to clean our own tables, cloth and spray provided by Steven. had to pick up our own drinks at the bar after they were prepared. Steven was mostly in the back on his phone leaving patrons at the bar waiting for service.

This hotel never disappoints me and my family. This stay we had a king room that had bunk beds for the kids. The pool was a great temperature inside and outside pools. There's a very relaxing hot tub and an adult swim hour. Breakfast is included in the price and a small bar on the property.

I suggested a bar sink in my room in the kitchen area. The view in the room was of the roof, but it really didn't affect my overall opinion of this fantastic room!

I like the night gal she was really sweet and accommodating.

The gal that worked over night well that is a different story. I asked herfor some milk at 5:45ish in the morning, because I hace to drink a protein shake in the morning and instead of just offering to grab me one... Like the day before from someone else.... She offered to sell me milk that I could clearly get for nothing! I just found it extremly rude... She couldn't have just got the stupid carton of milk for me?

Breakfast was super yummy. Room was clean. Bed was amazing (I wanted to steal it and the pillows. But, didn't).

I loved the indoor/outdoor pool. Wondering what happens in the dead of winter? Pool could of have been more clean... debris on the bottom and leaves. We were actually concerned about the chemical levels in the hot tub. Our skin felt like it was burning after being in it for a while. Had to take a shower and scrub the chemicals off. Still felt/smelled very chloriney the next day. Shampoo/cream rinse/body wash provided didn't do the job.

We came to St Joe because of a family funeral. When we searched for a room, this one had great ratings, which is why we chose it. Breakfast was great, the pool was nice, and the room was comfortable.

There were crumbs on the floor that weren't vacuumed. The internet service was super slow. The final bill reflected an increase for each day that we stayed.

Excel location, amazing, cool, satisfactory room and a friendly atmosphere

 The room was decent although it is surprising to find only full-size beds in this day and age. The breakfast was good but nothing particularly noteworthy. Unfortunately late checkout comes in an extra cost for $25 charge for 1 PM and $50 for 4 PM.
