this property had the room configuration that we wanted as we were traveling on vacation (5 of us). We stayed in the newer part of the hotel so we had updated amenities

This hotel appears to be the choice for the area construction workers who are installing wind turbines and other work in the area. Traveling with my wife and teenager daughters it was a bit uncomfortable for them to be able to enter the hotel with construction workers drinking and smoking in the parking lot and just outside the entrance. They also had the run of the pool area and the laundry. Make no mistake I understand the important of their work and how they sacrifice to do the work they do to support their families but we paid a good price to not be able to use all of the facilities

Large room with comfortable bed. Room had fridge and microwave. Coffee and tea provided. Breakfast provided - simple standard US style breakfast. Staff at check in and breakfast helpful and friendly.

Nothing. Only issue was that restaurants were all closed on Sunday night in Shelby so grateful we could buy food from supermarket and heat in microwave.

Hotel was good - breakfast adequate etc. Room 232 nice. High marks are due to EXCEPTIONAL staff - very friendly , welcoming and helpful front desk staff. Lady changed room for us after we were originally in a noisy room by elevator. Also noticed she was giving exceptional service to another guest who had an issue. Nothing too much trouble. Give her a raise !

I was traveling home from a 3 week trip and was exhausted and had booked the room for the wrong day by accident. The manager was very nice about it and was able to put me up in a suite at no additional charge because their other rooms were full. He was very nice about the whole thing even though it was my fault.

Very clean and updated rooms. Excellent breakfast choices.

The pool is under construction. All their advertising shows pool and they did not offer an upgrade or discount when we checked in, even after we expressed disappointment and said we had only booked due to the pool.

breakfast could’ve had a better variety of fresh fruits, but other than that everything was great!

Hot breakfast was great. Beds were incredibly comfortable. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

Room next door had dogs and they barked while we were trying to sleep. Headboard needed to be cleaned. Linens were wrinkled but appeared clean and just had not been folded properly after being washed. Next time would prefer not to be next to rooms with pets.

The primary reason for selection was that they were pet friendly. The facility was clean and well kept. The staff was helpful and friendly and the room had a refrigerator and microwave. Their breakfast offerings were good and they room was not too crowded. The dog walk area was sufficiently large and away from traffic. There is an RV park behind it that was empty when we were there, but it did appear there may be shared outdoor facilities (grills, gazebo, etc.) which might be a problem in the summer when both places are full.

The room could have been a bit larger.

I accidentally left a piece of jewelry on the vanity and I was able to get it back. I was thrilled that housekeeping had turned it in and it was at the front desk when I returned to get it after a brief description. Thanks to all of the staff involved in that! It was greatly appreciated!

The staff was very helpful in directing us to a place for dinner. This is a small train town! Quiet and comfy.

The curtains wouldn’t close, so we clipped them with a metal note clip. There were guys outside by their trucks right by our window. For some reason Booking. com booked us a handicap room.
