J Resort

The updated rooms were done very well. Big improvement over the previously named resort. I stayed there many times under the previous Management, Sands Regency. Good location. Easy walk to Reno Aces ballpark, breweries and restaurants.

I thought $369 for 3 days a bit much, ($3 & $20 extra per day for tourism and resort fees). It was Wed. - Fri. Normally week days are much cheaper than w/ends. I asked to maybe extend 1 night (Sat.) and it was $359 for that alone! I know, short notice and a Sat., but that's absurd. I also realize local events were going on, Wing Fest Cookoff and the 1st day of Hot August nights. I always thought bumping prices because of events should be illegal, or at least reasonable (10-25% rate hike or so). My extra 1 night was $10 less than a 3 night stay. Ridiculous! I don't gamble, but it didn't seem like the gambling areas were remodeled to the same level as the room upgrades. The sports bar had 4 tv channels and way too expensive beer. Terrible.

The room was well appointed and very clean. Staff replaced a broken refrigerator at 10:30 at night. Staff was very responsive to requests. The view was spectacular. The food at Hanna's kitchen was excellent.

Furnishings could have been better. It would have been better to have two chairs than one chair and that bench by the bed. We kept running into the bench by the bed at night. It is good to have chairs to sit in and watch TV and drink coffee. There was room for that. The bench is just a knee banger.

They are definitely going above and beyond with the remodel of the new J Resort. The rooms are always super clean and really enjoy the ambiance. Staff is always friendly as well. Really looking forward to what the future holds for the J Resort and Downtown Reno.

It’s unfortunate they don’t offer locals discounts on rooms or even comped rooms for all players like every other casino in Reno. They show their love to the locals with a 10% discount to the mediocre buffet which is rather penurious in my opinion.

The staff was helpful and friendly Maria was awesome. My room was a good size for a family of 5. The Aspen family suite had a beautiful restroom and the furniture in the room and living room was very stylish and accommodating. It was affordable and worth it. Plus it was a 5 minute walk from the event at Silver Legacy. I stayed while the hotel was under construction and they kept their noice to a minimum like they said they would. They do have security walking around and in the parking by Mels diner.Definately recommend.

My room did need some minor cleaning. I found pop corn from the previous occupant and coffee stain on the counter. I didnt like the fact that the elevator kept getting stuck! I would choose my floor and it would hesitate to move. Im not sure what that was all about. Also the restroom definately needs some type of lock to it, walking in while it is occupied is not fun. There was a car with a broken window right next to my car the next morning with a paper that said something about a research..Security should definitely be added to the parking garage not just the out door parking lot...🤔 I parked in the 3 floor garage.

The room was fine, but smaller than previous rooms we have stayed in at this property. Registration staff are wonderful.

The hallways and throughout the casino, the floors were filthy. Really smoky in the Casino used to gain access to our room. Service at the restaurant for the second time we have eaten there was not good. We will not be going back again. Our reservation was not registered with the property when we arrived so we had a longer wait to get our room.

the room and bathroom were terrific, nicely done, very clean. the staff was very helpful. process of check-in was easy. it is being remodeled and getting to check-in was difficult and in the middle of the casino/did not like that. room was as nice as any I’ve been in and very quiet

New hotel still building, landscaping incomplete. No pool, minimal games, and very much potential. Nice sized refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, very updated restroom. Modern room.

Missing back plate to remote control, peeling wallpaper near window. Didn't feel like a resort, but maybe one day. The entertainment is still in the works,

Actually we travel for the casino gambling and found this to be a pleasant surprise.

The buffet felt more like a deli than a serious buffet.The food was lacking taste and choices. The weird part was when the buffet opened at 4:00 some of the main courses were not ready. Also it seemed as though the paying customers were waited for the staff to get their food first, The web site on the buffet should be fixed otherwise it sounds like false advertising.

Upon entry, we were pleasantly greeted by an attractive and nice woman at the front desk. We arrived late, but she was great. Our room was both clean and organized well. When my son likes the room, we know it's good. :)

Parking wasn't clear, and seemed to lack a dedicated structure. Maybe we missed it .. it was late, so maybe we missed it, but the sole lot we parked in didn't instill confidence in terms of safety. But, all turned out okay.

Housekeeping didn't arrive on day 2. However staff was friendly and accommodated our request for extra trash bags and an extra pillow. Bedding was clean, but minimal. Duvet or feather top comforter would of been perfect. The AC/HEAT/FAN settings are hard to operate.

Room what's kind of plain. Shower curtain didn't seem to fit the shower length. Small coffee pot- I would recommend a larger coffee pot, more coffee cups for a 2 Queen room and extra lighting as the switches were close across-the-room by the door.
