I understand the building itself was built in the 1600s and has a very beautiful and unique design. even though modern day additions have been added to the original building I would consider it to be one well worth staying at. Lamies restaurant next store has wonderful seafood nachos and a good wonderful atmosphere. The menu is not expensive either and gives wonderful choices. I wanted to try the surf and turf burger but nachos were a huge plate my wife and I split. The hotel does not have an elevator but the ground floor rooms are accessible even for wheelchairs of a normal size . I was greeted with a smile when entering the front door by not only the check in lady but her little grand daughter as well. I do recommend this place. A continental breakfast is included but it is not a sit down order off the menu one. It is set out buffet style for the hotel guest in the restaurant. I did forget to mention the rooms have updated charging stations.

Nothing I could think of or see

This was our 2nd time there, both times we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. This year was our 36th anniversary. The staff is amazing !.The rooms.were.clean and very inviting. The food.at The Old Salt was good and the continental breakfast, with their homemade maple butter was outstanding! We can't wait to return.

Bathroom was a bit small.

The old fashion style and customer service, the location is excellent, and the food at the salt tavern was great.

Breakfast was good but a little on the sweet side, could do with sausages or something savoury.

Great atmosphere. The pub and the restaurant are very charming. The entire building is very cozy with old time new England charm. We really liked the fact that it was not that far from the beaches and offered free parking and free breakfast which was really good. The staff were very helpful. It is a great place to use as a base to travel to different beaches and is only 15min from portsmouth which is quite nice and worth a visit. We had dinner at the restaurant at the Inn and it was very good. Happy hour was quite fun

Definitely need new mattresses and covers, not to mention an update in the bathroom. Nonetheless, it was quite clean. We were surprised that the room came equipped with dehumidifiers which were needed to reduce the humidity in the room

loved our room and the continental breakfast was fine

We came in late from a show in Portsmouth, my friend has a hip problem and mentioned her concern that there wasn't an elevator to the front desk and climbing stairs with a suitcase is difficult. We were surprised that man at the desk (at 11:30pm) did not bother to offer to carry it for her. He obviously didn't "have to" but it seemed that a hotel like this would be more helpful for us 75+ people. (She the wouldn't let me carry it - pride!)

Great location to get to a lot of vacation spots. The room was quiet and comfortable. The Old Salt Tavern was an excellent restaurant for great meals and relaxing after a busy day of traveling. The continental breakfast was a great way to start the day. Highly recommend Lamie's Inn.

There really isn't anything Lamie's needs to improve on. The staff was very helpful and our stay was perfect. Looking forward to return at later dates.

Location and Breakfast was awesome. We were there during a snow storm, but staff showed up and we were never neglected.

We were in room 53 and had absolutely no view at all. Stained glass non operable windows, and noise from the ventilation system all the time. We never complained but I wouldn't recommend this room to anyone. This is the only reason I didn't rate the Inn as excellent. This is something that should be disclosed when you book the room and at check in. With that kind of inconvenience this room should be half price. Just let people know before they check in of the condition that awaits them. But as I said we never complained...

Very comfortable, clean room in historic inn. Many nice touches create a homey feel. Desk staff went out of their way to accommodate our changing dates, and moved us graciously to another room with a quieter heater. Adjacent to famous and delicious restaurant. Very good continental breakfast with yummy pastries.

Breakfast room should not broadcast TV stations with controversial politics. Choose channels with broad appeal, or none at all. Silence is fine--the breakfast room was cozy, and the meal quite good.
