I love The Pelican. It's my favorite place to soak in Truth or Consequences, and I've stayed there a couple times also. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The decor is retro kitsch - delightfully colorful. It's in the perfect location, walking distance from the major eateries, galleries, and the brewery. It's near everything in this little village.

The only complaints I have: Ask housekeeping to do a quick sweep of the floors before check-in. T or C is a dusty desert. And get some better pillows!

This was the second time I had been here. I love the Pelican Spa. It is the perfect funky, artsy, relaxing place. The rooms are gorgeously artistic and colorful and comfortable. The hot springs tubs are heavenly. The outside common space is lovely, and it is such a walkable town with color and flowers and friendly people everywhere. And, the people that work here are all sweet and welcoming. Matt (hopefully I’m correct on his name), the owner (manager?) was super cheerful and kind. I felt like I was being welcomed by family.❤️

I like the atmosphere of friendly service and the relaxed common area where I was able to spend time reading and writing. The homemade muffins were a nice touch.

There are signs posted everywhere to use quiet voices in the soaking tubs. Unfortunately the couple in the next room were nonreaders. Early Sunday morning I was privy to their finances, police problems and future plans. I tried humming so they might get a clue. They remained clueless. That was a bummer but not a staff problem.☹️

Several options for rooms in multiple buildings. Our room had a kitchenette, quiet area, two or 3 restaurants in walking distance. All the tubs in the main building, first come first served. As this is winter and less busy we were able to get a tub when we wanted one. Coffee and water available, towels provided. Fill your own tub, lovely hot water.

A 4% credit card fee not announced on the website and very high pet fees $35 (now $50 I think) for first night, $20 each additional night, also not on the website (only says "pet friendly") . Pillows were awful.

We stayed in one of the PAM apartments, and loved it. It was cozy and clean, had a stove, microwave, full refrigerator, and a nice hot shower. The private hot spring baths are located in the main office building and are just amazing. The tubs are really deep and long enough for someone 6 ft tall to lay down completely. They bath rooms are all nicely colored in NM colors, and are private and romantic. The staff was also incredibly kind and welcoming. I highly recommend staying here. You definitely get your money's worth.

Staff was nice and very efficient. We liked the funky artsy decor. It was very clean. Beds were ok. Definitely a hippie place to stay which was fine by us. There were a lot of young people congregated around rooms and in the communal courtyard and one couple set up speakers and blasted music. This might be a positive for some - but we were glad that our room was farther away where it was quiet.

One of the rooms in the casita never quite cooled down even with the air blasting. A fan would have been fantastic. There was a space heater in the closet for the winter I supposed, but a fan would have been great.

This is the cutest little casita!! The decorations/furniture and art are unique for each room - very Fun & homey atmosphere; lots of space - huge yard; front & back patio very comfortable - even though the back house was under construction - the mornings were very peaceful , relaxing, & full of nature . We loved the lime green-wooden floors, huge table space, & spacious yard with mini boats in it - lots of succulents - reminiscent of a tropical place.

Staying at the Pelican Spa was not unlike staying at home. We are a quirky couple and found the decor to be right up our alley. Our room included a kitchenette we did not expect, and was comfortable, clean, and cool. The staff were nice, and helpful in giving us a tour of the lounge, room, and tub area. The town-proper is very small and we were perfectly located to walk to breakfast, and explore the shops and galleries on the main stretch. We were delighted to discover their art festival on one of the nights we were there. Quirky, cool little town.

One of the draws to Truth or Consequences was the mineral springs. Sadly, the pump broke at the Pelican Spa so we never got to enjoy the tubs. Big time bummer, but the lounge was cool and comfortable, and we grabbed a milkshake form a local burger joint to cool off. Two other critiques, not necessarily bad, but things to consider; the bed was not affixed to the wall so when you leaned up against the wall to read or watch tv you pushed the bed forward. It rolled everywhere! More funny, than not, otherwise, the light pollution outside was a bit too bright for our preferences and we resorted to bandanas as eye masks to fall asleep. Overall, I would still recommend The Pelican SPa.

It was last minute rental. Cheaper price than the others. Did not know what to expect but it was great. Rooms were not like regular motel, but were extremely comfortable. Meet more if our expectations. Did not know it was a spa. Took one bath and it was awesome. Will recommend and stay again. Also, I cannot say enough about the staff, but they were great.

I LOVED the on-site hot springs, the downtown location (close to shops, cafes & highway), & also Lori at the front desk is absolutely gorgeous!! Inside & out. She made me feel comfortable & welcome (even though I was late)😬 she got me an extra night & talked me through how everything worked & where things were. What an awesome experience, from the moment I walked in through the day around town, driving to little ghost towns & getting souvenirs, all the way until check out the next morning. I even had a private hot spring spa tub IN MY ROOM😱🙌🥳 (Aqua room only)! But everyone else has access to their many soaking tubs all day/night too! Cute! Cute! Cute!!!
