La Quinta by Wyndham Raleigh/Durham Southpoint

Everything! was a fantastic hotel, clean,rooms were nice, staff were friendly, price was awesome, definitely recommend this hotel! would definitely book this hotel again!

I was pleasantly surprised I had an emergency and had to get a room for one night. Though the hotel is near a railroad track and hidden from the main road I found the hotel in pretty good shape, minus a few areas in the parking lot that need repairs. The hotel is near a Comfort inn (which looked sketchy and a fast food place) so it can feel isolated because the hotel is behind some trees over the railroad track. The room was clean, bed slept comfortable. Enjoyed have a microwave and mini fridge on hand being that we ordered out. The front desk staff at check in was pleasant and professional!

Cold coffee and no breakfast available. I recognize the health challenges but there are some things that could of been served and tables could of been spaced apart.

The guest reception and receptionist on Thursday October 13th at 5 PM was very friendly and helpful. They welcomed me, was very pleasant. The guest services also sent to my room a large comfortable duvet blanket immediately upon my request. The main receptionist guided me to local Chick Filet upon my request that was close by so I could grab an easy dinner. The location of the hotel was literally less than a mile to my one day conference on Meridian Parkway the next day. The king size bed was very comfortable and I loved all the desk space. Everything worked well. I love the fact that there was a refrigerator in the room, too, so I could keep my snacks and drinks cold for my long drive home.

The room has a loud HVAC all in one unit in the room which I got used to but that was running all night long to keep the room a constant cozy temperature.

Nice, helpful staff, spacious layout, and the pool was a big plus for the 4-year-old in our family traveling group of 7. While the site was just off the highway, it was very quiet.

Overall lack of attention to details: We had teabags in our room but no cups to make tea in, nor even a plastic cup in the bathroom. There was no hair dryer in our bathroom, just a jagged piece of metal on the wall where a hair dryer must have been mounted. The room keys were dysfunctional. When I couldn't get back in our room with either key after breakfast, I took the keys back to the desk. The friendly woman there rekeyed for me and then insisted accompanying me to my room. It took her 10 tries to get me back in.

The pool was nice and so was the fitness center. The hotel was clean and very well kept.

I didn't like the fact that there was a $50 charge added to the cost of the stay. This was never discussed before we got there. I am waiting for it to be released back to my card but had we not had enough money it could have ended badly. We was supposed to have a double room with double beds and ended up only having a single room with double beds. I feel that this was overpriced for what it was. Not happy at all with the experience. Also the beds was of low quality and felt like you was sleeping on a block of concrete. Also they only had one pillow and it wasn't even a pillow.

Breakfast was great. Daytime front desk was awesome. Nighttime staff not friendly.

3rd floor very very noisy. Crying babies loud voices. Room not very clean. I found a roach when leaving. Pool was beautiful but very cold. I couldn’t understand that when it’s been in the high 80-90 range.

Met expectations in this time of short staffing! The staff was very helpful and willing to help in any way. But it was short staffed and I truly felt for those trying to keep up the standards expected!

The breakfast was all frozen stuff - that we had to heat and eat. So we did not do the breakfast, just enjoyed the fine coffe offered! Again I understand in these trying times!

Wasn't real happy with breakfast. Hotel very clean superficially. Room had no cover on light fixture near tub in ceiling, tiles were coming away from wall near bathtub. Room could have been warmer than what looked like an architects desk from wall to wall, no comfortable area to sit in room. Curtains in room allowed light from the bright lights outside to come into room. Not room darkening at all. Staff were very very pleasant and nice to talk with.

The staff was so nice and quick, they handled after hours noise very quickly and were very helpful every step of the way.

The hotel smelled like weed and there were people screaming and playing music all night. The location was pretty ghetto and the air conditioning unit was broken so it was making a loud buzzing sound every few minutes, we couldn't sleep at all.

We loved that no matter what issue we may have there was always someone willing to help us. Everyone was friendly and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. Shawn always went above and beyond.

I can;t really think of anything I would change about our experience at La Quinta. We were there for 1-5 days per week for 6 months and we really had great experiences.
