Avid Hotels - Oklahoma City - Quail Springs, an IHG Hotel

I was surprised by how much I liked this hotel. I travel with some frequency, and this was one of the best chain hotels I've stayed in, ever, especially for the price. We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds, both of which were very comfortable and had plenty of pillows to go around. The room was a little on the smaller side, but the space was used so much more efficiently than most of the other hotels I've visited. There were lots of places to hang things on walls around the room, and there were two benches to put luggage on, with storage areas underneath. The bathroom was spotless and the shower had good pressure. There were pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body was in the shower, as well as lotion and hand soap by the sink, and the scents weren't overpowering. There was a convenience store area in the lobby with lots of good snacks and drinks- not just chips & candy bars like a lot of places have. Things were overpriced, but that's to be expected. The convenience and selection were worth it for me. Breakfast was good, too. There was fresh fruit, Chobani yogurt, some really tasty muffins, and bagels out on a table. In the warmer, they had 2 types of individually wrapped Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches- regular sausage, egg & cheese, and one with turkey sausage. Pretty solid choices for a communal breakfast during a pandemic! I really can't overstate how much I liked this place. I'll definitely look for another Avid next time I travel.

The only thing I can complain about is the lack of a nightstand on both sides of the bed. There is a shared counter in between the beds with lamps and outlets, but there's nothing on the other side, by the wall.

The property was very updated and modern.

The pool is located outside, which was fine because it was a nice, sunny day. Some people (or depending on the weather) would not be able to enjoy it. The only ice machine was located on the first floor and there were only a few ice buckets next to the machine; every time I went to use one, they were all gone.

I was impressed with the hotel at first glance and as I entered the lobby, it was pretty late when I got there to check in and I was happy I made it the hotel has great design and very clean. When I got up to my room I was happy to see the bed after traveling all day, it was very comfortable and I LOVE the pillows. There was a nice flatscreen TV to watch and relax. The complimentary breakfast did not disappoint, I loved how many great options the hotel offered and a nice coffee bar. Overall the experience was very nice and the hotel was quiet and not super busy which was nice.

As I entered my room I was a little taken off guard on how SMALL the room was, luckily I was alone and didn’t need that much space but for the price I paid I thought it should be bigger.

New, clean, full featured, quiet, pretty much everything in working order. Kids liked the pool. Breakfast was simple grab and go but had a good selection of items and coffee was always fresh brewed.

Didn’t get housekeeping service during our stay. Had to ask for clean towels at the front desk.

super clean and lots of amenities. fun snacks and drinks for sale 24/7 in the lobby. The staff were kind and knowledgeable. Christopher checked us in and started everything off right. we had been driving all day and it was a real treat to pull up to. I didn’t catch the woman’s name at the front desk on Sunday morning when we were checking out but she was also just fantastic. love the hooks to hang stuff on the wall!!

Everything from the moment you pulled into the parking lot until you pulled out was excellent. Fabulous location! Superb staff! Seriously even the cleanliness of the room and preparation that went into each guest was marvelous! Kudos to the lovely house keepers as well! They were the best that I’ve ever met (and believe me that says tons considering I was a cross country traveler for 13 years). I even must say that the lobby, food bar, beverage station and amenities were excellent! Even though I did not travel with a pet I would recommend this hotel as super pet friendly due to the easy access to outside and just how clean and comfortable this hotel was. 100% totally satisfied with my stay here at this hotel.

It was inexpensive (economy type rooms) and they had a decent hot/cold breakfast. Staff were nice. They provided toiletries if you forgot something. They have a convenience store inside (a little pricey) but then again it’s there for your convenience. Ice machine worked. It’s a newer building so it’s pretty nice. The beds were in good shape also, no rolling to the middle or bouncing around at every movement.

Pool was outdoors and it was terribly windy the whole time we were there so we didn’t go in it. Refrigerator could’ve been bigger. One of the door locks to access the building stopped working and no one fixed it. Room was pretty clean but we did find some hairs and there was a weird spot in the wall by the shower. Oh and if you stay here just note there’s no tub ( at least in the room we stayed.) I would probably stay here again because the price was good especially for providing breakfast.

The hours The pool was open, because we came from the west we lost 2 hours because of daylight savings time and so we were unable to use the pool because it was closed at 9pm which was 7pm our time. But that's OK.

Breakfast was nice and encouraged social interaction in the main lobby. However, your staff were slow to refill the hot items for the breakfast. Probably too wrapped up in the podcasts or whatever they were listening to on their AirPods.

It’s a small thing, but having the laundry bags in the rooms was something I missed. And power outlets on both sides of the beds.

How clean and friendly the staff was!

Everything was GREAT, we just had a little set back up front figuring out our room. They had swapped the first and last name so they couldn’t find my name. Not a big deal because the staff was very friendly!
