Our room had separate sleeping areas which was great because my husband sleeps with TV on and we both snore so this was great. Room size was good with plenty of room for my bike and his golf clubs along with our luggage. Also take note they don't have daily housekeeping service unless you request it... This is completely fine with us because we clean up after ourselves and make our own bed. Extra needed supplies are available at the front desk. Trail access to the beach, a foot wash station to get the sand off. The nightly movie and light show and they have a great dog area for those that come with doggies..

Our room was comfortable, the light show was a fun bonus and the beach access was lovely. We appreciated the community room since we didn't have a room with a view. The best part was the staff. Super friendly and helpful when we needed to make a last-minute change to our stay.

I wish the hot tub hours had been longer and that the bed was a little bigger. The toilet ran for a bit at night, which wasn't great but not horrible either. Perhaps it would be nice to have a mat at the door entrance to catch some of the sand.. or have a broom in the room. Overall, not too much to complain about.

This is one of the nicest places I've stayed at. The wall facing the ocean was all glass with light blocking floor length draperies. The bed was so comfortable with extra pillows. The linens were immaculate. The patio outside the windows was blocked from other rooms so felt private. The room rate was very reasonable, off season, considering other properties in this area.

The room, on the second floor, was a bit of a walk from the parking area. The "Light Show" was a travelogue and I stopped watching after about 5 minutes. The big screen seems out of place on the property, placed between the hotel and the ocean. The hotel is not on the beach. There's a long grassy area between the two. People with mobility issues probably would find it difficult to get to the beach.

The room was situated very close to the beach. Only a short walk and you are at the shore. You are able to park your car directly in front of your room for easy arrival and departure. The shower had excellent water pressure and was very hot. There was heating in the room, as well as screened windows and an electric fan if needed.

The toilet started to leak slightly halfway into our stay. It was not leaking when we checked in, so it was not a big deal to us. The hot tub was closed, and it was unfortunate as that was a highlight for us during booking. The light show is unremarkable, and the area used for it could be repurposed.

very kind and caring. I had car problems and my transmission blew so I had to find a ride. they helped with the shuttles number and let me and family check in early. they made us feel very welcome and gave us the extra effort. I would gladly recommend this hotel to my friends and family. I reserved a second room for my ride when they got here and they where kind enough to put them right next to us.

The grab and go breakfast was something me and my mother could not have due to diabetes and dietary restrictions but it was perfect for my small children.

Property is excellent with location to to the beachfront. Light show was amazing as usual and hot tub building is well taken care of and clean. Property is in good repair and free of debris. Second floor room was spacious and clean, plenty of counter space in the bath and the coffee area has its own counter and it has a microwave and mini fridge. Plenty of plug-ins and light. No elevator but stairs and walkways are well maintained and clear. We've stayed at this property a couple of times and will continue to. Check in was easy. I can't tell about the complimentary continental breakfast as there didn't appear to be any when we checked out but, there were other people in the lobby getting coffee so we just left. The rooms have mini coffee makers that brew one cup at a time with a special little cup that comes with the coffee packets. Worked excellent for brewing water for tea. We had some power outages that affected the entire town due to extreme storms and the door locks are battery operated back up so we had no problems getting in the room. It also stayed fairly warm even with no heating or lights on. Check this place out, I highly recommend it.

There were no problems to to mention

Location was great for our intended activity (Jerry’s Rogue Jets). Room was clean, and actually had a separate bedroom, which worked out great for a family. Water pressure was good. The light show was a novel way to wind down the evening, and beach access was nice. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

Hot water ran low after a couple of showers, and the office ran out of coffee as I was grabbing a cup running out to our activity. Minor nit-picks…

Clean. Large room for us. We had 2 beds. (1 bed rooms were small). Good fridge. Great water pressure for shower. Nice parking right in front of room. The evening light show and movie is really cool. Close to beach. Plenty of pillows. Mattresses were zipped in covers to protect from any infestations and I really appreciate that. We will definitely stay here again

Nothing. Only thing that might be considered a negative for some was they did not have housekeeping until checkout due to short staffing. That doesn’t bother us at all because we can clean up after ourselves. They had extra towels at desk if we needed.

I liked it being clean, quiet and having a microwave and frig. Also enjoyed the beach (though calling it a "private beach" on your website is a stretch, as all the beaches in Oregon are public; it's a private path to the beach from the property).

I booked here due to the masking promises on website, as I have an autoimmune condition and remain covid cautious. It was not true at all, no one wore a mask, including cleaners in rooms, though office staff offered to put on a mask (and did) when I needed to come closer to them. Website needs to be updated to reflect truth. Price for economy seemed high, but that may be how things are these days. (Paid $1/gallon more for gas s. coast than in Eugene, so there is some taking advantage for sure). Water pressure shower weak. I couldn't get HBO or any non-ad TV channels listed on guide, but maybe I didn't know how to do it from remote (hitting up channel button stopped near 59).

The breakfast was a sack given to us with a small water, sippy orange juice, small granola bar and a kids fruit cup. Pathetic. The beach access was great and the sunrise and set were gorgeous. There was not a lot to do there but beachwalk, which was great. Spinners restaurant was fabulous. The staff at the hotel was kind. We would recommend this hotel but I don't think I'd stay at Gold Beach again. Newport was way better.
