OYO Hotel Ridgeland East

Our stay was short, but we were welcomed in a cozy room and slept all like babies. Although we arrived late in the night, around 2am, the front desk lady was friendly and even had a smile on her tired face. In the room we found everything we wanted, a brand new full combo fridge with both cooler and freezer, unlike the tiny ones on most hotels, a microwave and a coffee maker. The heater was not so noisy so we left it on for the night.

Like most hotels, the height of the bed was pretty high, ok for an adult, but difficult for kids. Also not one cartoon channel on the analog TV. Really now, who is still using analog TV in this century except hotels?

Our host Gary Patel is really a exceptional host I have ever come across. He made sure that check-in process is done without mush hassle and provided excellent hospitality and provided more than what we needed. Gary and his wife both well took care of my family and friends and we felt home. Such pleasure to stay in this property and we throughly enjoyed staying at OYO rooms. On the day of checkout , our entire group was hungry and we approached Gary to check if there is anything available to eat. He had offered us freshly made Tea along with Indian authentic homemade snacks for all of us. We were 10 people in the group and he made sure sufficient snacks and tea is provided to everyone. Such a warm host and kind hearted people. I definitely visit again and recommend to all my friends who are visiting Ridgeland.

Nothing such to dislike

Stopped in for a short sleep on the way to Florida. Very convenient location for a quick stop. Beds are very comfortable and room looks like it was recently updated. Convenient parking right outside your door.

The bathroom was very worn out and had “old motel in the side of the highway” vibe… probably could’ve used more attention during the renovations.

Literally Everything as noted above. Again, big thanks to Gary and his family for making us feel welcome. We will def be back often.

We liked it all. Literally no complaints and the owner Gary went above and beyond for us. We def have our new mainland get away as we live on Daufuskie and really enjoy getting off the island on occasion. Super nice people and so glad we made a new friend. Very reasonably priced as well. Just a great experience all the way around.

Close to I95 and to amenities

My first room did not have a working refrigerator but the staff was accommodating and moved me to the next room and the refrigerator worked perfectly there

I liked it was an older motel with a good facelift. It’s was the first time staying in a motel since I was a child. The value was great and the folks in the office were very kind.

Even though the room was a non-smoking room, the years of smoking in that room in the past made it possible to taste it in the air. That was the only thing, next to the guy talking outside the room starting at 7am...

Great location for spending a day at Hilton Head, without the expense. Bathroom walls were a bit scratched up, but otherwise excellent. Beds were comfy even with the queen mattress on a full bed frame issue. Overall we would absolutely stay here again. It is so nice to find a hotel that is nicer on the inside than it's outside appearance.

honestly, it was a pretty basic hotel, nothing fancy, but the bed was comfy and the room was clean.

the towels could be upgraded a little, they were pretty old and worn.

The bed was really comfortable. The towels were very soft and plush. The outside of the hotel was very ghetto.

The outside was a little scary.

The room was comfortable, good size. It was clean. The beds were comfortable. The shower was good. The owner was friendly and very accomodating. Good communication.
